Two middle names or just the one? Which one sounds better? Sayli pornounced "Say-Lee" Michaella pronounced "Ma'Kayla" Gracelynn pronounced as one name not two. Thanks!
Michaela makes me think of Michele-a or Mich-Ella.
Personally I don't like the spellings. I get everyone wants to be "unique" but some day your kid is going to be an adult. Nobody is going to want to hire a lawyer named Hashtag. A stripper sure. But "unique" names have a limit.
are these names from family members mixed or something? quite unique, I'd say sayli Graceland because mechael looks like michaelangelo to me. this is a girls name right?
Remember with these spellings that your child has at least 18 years of teachers not being able to pronounce it followed by a career of having to explain to people it isn't pronounced how they think.
I don't like any of them. I'm all for "unique" names, but this one crosses the line in my book and into the idea of made up sounding book character.
I can honestly say that I was not expecting anyone to be so mean towards the names I posted. In regards to Sayli being a "made up name", aren't all names made up from someone somewhere? I sure as heck didn't have the honor of "making up" the name. I do think it is a very cute name though and am really glad it will be her first. As far as Sayli or any of the names "not being real names" well those comments are just absurd and rude. I've heard all three names used before, maybe not together as I have put them, from my past students so I don't get where the whole word "unique" is coming into play? Maybe the spelling of Michaella, which can be spelled many ways, maybe considered "unique" but as far as the other two...not so much in my opinion.

It's Gracelynn, not land. Michaella and Michealangelo are two different names. One is for a girl and the other for a boy. Michaella can be spelled many different ways. The most common is Ma'Kayla. I prefer the way I spelled it initially. Thanks for your vote.

My name isn't hard to pronounce and it is also a very common name(Brittney), yet I will spend all my life correcting people on how to spell it. So as far as Sayli being pronounced correctly I think she will do just fine in handling that. Thanks.

I'm not sure where you came up with the name "Hashtag" for it is not one of the options listed as a possible name of my choosing. Therefore your analogy seems to be lacking in content.
I corrected the spelling. Everyone has a typo every now and then. That's not uncommon.
I think all the names have potential... No one uses a middle name in general conversation, so I would suggest you focus on how the first and last name sound together to get a feel for what's right for your family.
And about the typo, I like your pornounced typo the best.

That's actually not "lacking in content" at all, you made up Sayli and that poor kid's parents made up Hashtag. Please don't do that to your kid, she WILL grow up hating her name. Also don't come on the 2nd tri board asking for opinions and get upset when you don't like what we have to say.

Names are not just random letters that someone put together once because they thought it sounded cute, they have an actual etymology that explains their origins and meanings. Therefore, if YOU just put random letters together that you think sound cute, it does not make it a "real" name, it makes it a made-up name.
No one is trying to be rude by saying it's made up, they are just stating plain FACT. I'm sorry you are upset that no one likes the names you made up, but when you ask opinions, you need to be prepared to get bad ones and most people around here are not a fan of made-up names because of all the reasons listed above.
I don't like made up names nor do I like the butchering of spellings. That being said, I would say the second one sounds better.
Side note: Sayli reminds me of saline solution.
Dislike all of them. Sorry. Give her a real name and call her Sayli as a nn if you must. But give her a legitimate name to fall back on. What about Selah, Sari, Saoirse, Sadie?
Here is a piece of advice. Don't ask for opinions on names. They're very personal and there are thousands of opinions out there.
For what it's worth, Sayli doesn't sound made up to me. Name your child whatever you want.
This. People aren't telling you what you want to hear, which is a part of life. Don't ask for advice about something that you really don't want advice on.
Personally, I like the names you have. I don't worry about choosing names that won't get made fun of, or that people won't spell correctly, because I had people make fun of my very regular name (Amanda - A man... duh!) and constantly have people call me Amber, or Ashley, or some other regular name because they can't seem to remember the very simple "Amanda".
I have a very "out there" girl name in mind... but I've refused to share it because I don't give a shit what other people think about it and don't want opinions on something that my husband and I have already decided upon. You basically asked for the backlash that you're getting... sorry.
They are nothing I would pick out....but on the up side I did have a dog named saylee one time when I was child. She had her name before I got her, but that is the only time I ever heard any name like that. Good luck on picking a name.
Why not give your child a name they can find on name labels and know how to spell and pronounce it without a fricking guide? God, I hate names like this. Also, Sayli isn't the name of a grown woman and will present unique challenges for her. Give her a name that carries from childhood to adulthood. Grace Lynn would be nice if it wasn't run together into one word.
Sayli is a cute name, but other posters are right, it doesn't sound like the name of an adult. Although if you go with Michaela for a middle name she always has the option of going by that as her first name
And all of these absurd responses to your poll are precisely why my husband and I are not sharing our name until our baby boy is born and certainly not to be assessed by a bunch of anonymous women. I shouldn't be surprised because its so par for the course on these message boards but seriously, who are you people to constantly criticize, judge, and ridicule? You all just troll to make nasty comments. And hiding behind she asked for an opinion does not excuse your altogether embarrassing behavior. Yuck. Finally, though I have never heard of Sayli or Gracelynn the second is an obvious conjunction of two existing names, Sayli follows the Kaylee, etc., trend, and I personally know a Michaela. Follow your gut and do what feels right without worrying about what these snarky women have to say about it.
Re: Which name sounds better?
It may be her baby but she is not the one who will have to live with the name. Consideration for the child is important.
