Average size: 10.5 inches ***, 12.7 oz. Taste buds are starting to work...
10.5 inches on a rule seems gigantic. I don't think that pomegranates are that large. I would have thought a banana is longer than a pomegranate???
Okay...so I bought the pomegranate yesterday in prep for Sunday's pic. Yeah, wtf? It's in no way longer than a banana and I'm pretty sure I've never seen one that is...even with some weird diagonal measurement. I need @ghostof5letters to go ahead and figure out 21 week's random item. Please and thank you.
So as I am throwing up this morning my LO decided it would be funny to kick me in the bladder- like 5 times. I didn't know whether I wanted to laugh or cry.
also, i am fairly certain i am sexually assaulting people at work today with my visible nips showing under my shirt. haven't has this kind of nip action since I was BFing.
Are we talking Jennifer Aniston circa Friends days??
I wanted to create a SS thread and it was going to contain the following paragraph, but then I realized some people wouldn't realize I was saying it tongue in cheek (and team green anyway):
We just got back from our A/S and the tech said the baby didn't "reveal" for her, but I SWEAR I saw some thing. Is she lying? do you guys think it's a boy or girl? I don't have a pic for you to judge, but still... can you tell?
there are two motivations in sports, which is yours?
In the middle of a meeting, I get a phone call from my children's school. Some kid not only pushed and kicked my daughter, but he then took a thumbtack (yes, I said a fucking thumbtack) and tried to stab her. Now, Emma is very petite and easily bruises. Also, she doesn't know how to handle violence. So she's got a bruise on her stomach now and was crying until I got there. When I got to the school, the kid's mom was there acting like it wasn't as big of a deal as it was. Not only that but the principle just suspended him. His little rotten ass needs to be expelled because this is not the first time he's acted this way. So when the mom reacted the way she did all nonchalant, I laid her ass out right there. I seriously considered beating her with a chair. If he doesn't get expelled, I'm taking my kids out of that school. I'm so fucking pissed with the whole situation. Emma is ok though. She's calmed down and is now happily enjoying some hot chocolate.
Random vent: So DH's hobby is saltwater fish and corals. We have 2 huge fish tanks in our apt with rare fish and he grows and sells rare corals. It's not really a money maker since he puts money into it as well, but he's not been putting money into it recently and saving the money he has been making as we're about to move.
We've saved up everything we need, but we're still hoarding money for repairs and moving expenses, etc.
Well the other day he tells me that I need to make sure not to spend any of the money we have in checking right now (obviously besides eating and bills) because we want to save as much money as possible. He said it kind of condecendingly like I'm too stupid to realize that the money is not play money. I told him I'm not an idiot and in fact a much better saver than he is.
Now today he calls me and says that he's going to buy a very rare coral for $500 (apparently it's worth $1000) and his friend is going to keep it for him until we move. He justified it by saying that we have plently of money to move and when this coral grows out, it'll be worth $1000/frag. I'm all for making extra money on the side but the fact that he's allowed to go spend money on his hobby and I can't go to Target really irks me. He was like "I just don't want you to be mad, but I really want this coral and it's worth a lot."
Usually when he knows I'm pissed off, he'll clean the kitchen and start the laundry and get DD to pick up her toys. All I'm saying is that house better be spotless when I get home!
I lost my cool today ladies.

I'm glad she's ok. If he has ever bothered her before, or if he ever does again, go back to the school and say he's bullying her. Legally they are required to start an extensive investigation that goes to the superintendents office.
If she is in a public school, they will almost definitely not expell him. That is very, very rare. Are they in class together? You can demand that she be moved to a different class. Know that you have a lot of power in the school system. You can't get him expelled, but beyond that if you're not happy with how things are being handled, go as high as you need to until you are satisfied.
Caitlin, that's kind of fucked up. You need some money to go enjoy and he can keep playing with his fish and corals. Sounds pretty though. Post a pic later.

She's in a small private school. He's actually in the class above her but, the kids all come together after snack time.
omg, if my child did that I would be *horrified* not act like it was standard/normal behavior!! That child wouldn't need to be expelled because I would move them to military school and/or a different one where I wouldn't need to show my face at that place again.
So, I literally just posted that I'm having a boy on FB, and immediately am flooded with messages from a high school friend about how I should positively not circumcise. *sigh* DH and I haven't talked about it yet, but in the end, it's our decision. Give me some time to be excited about the baby before you start pressuring me with your concerns about his wiener. GEEZ!
Silver lining that she did it through PM? That is so freaking weird. People are weird.
Yeah, I suppose. Glad it wasn't a public brawl. She's one of those super hippie "I don't take my kids to the doctor for anything" types. I don't agree with most her parenting, lol. But they're her kids, and I'll never tell her to do something just because it's my opinion. I don't want to be one of those judgmental moms. :P
Are there more documented instances with that kid @jensavicci? I would be requiring that that kid be kept away from my daughter at all times. I can't believe that mother was so nonchalant...especially when a freaking thumb tack got involved!

Yes. A few months back he kicked a teacher. Why they didn't remove him then is beyond my knowledge. I can't believe a private school is accepting this behavior either. But, I'm doing some research to see if there's anything else I can do. Either way, I'll be damned if anyone touches my daughter again.
@Salsera29 thanks for the advice anyway! I appreciate it.
@jensavicci I teach at a public school and it really is ridiculous how many parents these days don't teach their children to take responsibility for their actions. Instead they push the blame on anyone else and make up ridiculous excuses. I'm glad Emma is okay and hope someone makes sure that little boy learns that there are consequences for his actions.
Me: 30, DH: 35 Indianapolis, IN TTC since 1/2010 BFP 1/23/2011, MC 2/5/2011 BFP 11/23/2013 , 11/23 1st beta 307!! 11/25 2nd beta 910!! EDD 7/28/2014 and so excited!
My random thought ... Only in pregnancy do you get excited to be bleeding from your asshole - because you realize that the blood in the toilet is from internal hemorrhoids and that you are NOT miscarrying. I literally thanked God that I was bleeding from my asshole and not my vagina.

@jensavicci I'm so sorry for your little Emma! What a terror that boy is. I think you did the right thing. Here's hoping that his parents wake up and get him some help before he ends up in juve or jail!
Ugh, I can't stand to see parents sitting around while their kid turns into a sociopath. I am glad your daughter is ok but I just can't imagine how awful that must be to deal with as a mother without breaking faces.
Oh my goodness @jensavicci I'm so pissed right now for you! I'm so glad you let his mom have it! IMO, at that age, it's 100% a parenting problem! And the fact that she was so nonchalant about it just proves that. Give Emma sweet kisses from all of us tonight. Bless her heart! I want to beat that mom with a chair right now for you! UUUUUGH!!!
Jen, I'm glad Emma is okay. Sadly, it's going to take a lot more than that for a school to even remotely consider expelling a kid. My coworker's wife is a teacher at a charter school and a kid (elementary age) deliberately pushed her down a flight of stairs while she was pregnant after she broke up a fight he started, but he only got suspended. He got a longer suspension for bringing a knife to school. It's crazy, but schools don't want the hassle of trying to expel a kid.

@sxymamakat
Omg, wtf is that ridiculousness? That's so terrible and I'm upset just hearing about it. Did she and her baby turn out alright?
She was livid, obviously, and pretty bruised, but she and the baby were fine, and he's now an adorable 2 1/2 year old. She really took the brunt of the fall to stay off the belly (I think she was around 24 weeks? Ish?) The principal thought it was unnecessary to call an ambulance, she did anyway (again, obviously) and quit the job a few days later. She felt bad leaving during the year, but she had to look out for herself, and it was in a pretty rough section of Philly.

I'm so glad they're both well! But there really are some Effed up schools in Philly for sure. My neighbor's daughter who is a teacher was beaten up by some kids for not rewarding them with candy. The amount of violence in this city is disgusting and I wish I could just home school.

Oh Jen I'm so sorry to hear about Emma. This is literally my biggest fear when it comes time to send my kids to school. Glad she has calmed down, but the fact that the mom was so nonchalant infuriates me.
I had a dream last night that I was in training to become one of the next Power Rangers. Nobody would tell me which color I was training for. Also, even in my dreams I am no good at round house kicks.
I have gone to brueggers for those amazing bagel sandwiches I've been going on and on about three days this week, and I'm about to make it four once my thyroid meds settle.
Also, when I was a kid I would eat salt and vinegar chips and corn chips in lieu of meals all through school. I dreamt last night that I finally found the brand in stores and was elated. I woke up all ready to order a case each from their website this morning, only to find out that the brand was bought out by a far inferior brand and my favorites aren't available anymore. First-world devastation, yo.
I'm a little late here but @jensavicci I'm appalled that a parent would not react more severely when their child acts like that. I'm so sorry Emma (and you) had to endure that. I would have lost my mind on the parent and the school. I'm glad shes doing okay now, but I would be making damn sure that kid isn't allowed near her as well. It blows my mind the acts schools allow kids to get away with these days. Things like this and the other stories PP's are sharing make me scared to put my kid in our school system!
@Caitlinrj I can definitely understand the frustration. DH is the spender in our house and I'm the saver. I think its kind of unfair though that he asks you to watch your spending but then he can go and spend hundreds. Yes it will make money eventually but why not buy it later once you have moved and used the savings you guys are working so hard to accrue?
