Andplusalso, my mom just sent me an email and the first line was, "Did you know if you put your iphone in airplane mode it will save time on the battery." Ack. 73-year olds. Gotta love 'em.
I didn't seen a symptoms thread and I feel like being a SS, so here I am.
Today is one of the first days I"m really feeling the physical aches of pregnancy. Maybe it was the chair I sat in for a 90 minute meeting this morning, but I am ache and my back hurts and I cannot get comfortable. Such a sad panda.

I feel you. I think every muscle in my butt, hips, thighs is sore right now. Oh, and my lower back and upper back. I feel like I've been beaten.
@wtfisup yeah it sounds like you overstretched the ligament. RLP is no joke man! I'd take it easy for the next few days and rest up. I know not what you wanna do when it's nice outside
@abastian00 For the first time ever. My co-worker brought some in.
It's been 90 minutes... we're waiting...
skamber - the Samoas are a must try. Last night I made myself a sundae with vanilla bean gelato, salted caramel sauce, and crumbled samoa cookie. And it was glorious.
I turned on the olympic women's hockey gold medal game in class today because I wanted to watch it, and I dgaf. I plan to watch the men's semi final tomorrow, too. My students didn't get much done. But, we talked about ancient olympics vs today's, so it is all good.
My coworker is watching the game right now and every so often I hear the most amusing sounds coming from his office - groans and whoas and even a Scooby "ruh roh!"

They're my afternoon snack - I have about 3 hours to go! (It's not even noon yet!)

SS: I want a new OB, and I think it is too late to switch.
He's fine when I'm not pregnant and only going in there once or twice a year, but now that I have to deal with his practice on a weekly/monthly basis, I want to scream. They are constantly running hours behind schedule, and now I've been waiting for a call back on some messed up maternity leave paperwork for 3 days. I want to scream. Efficiency, people!
And, at my last appointment, he recommended I "didn't" go to birthing classes because you know, birth plans are great and all, but sometimes you just have to trust the doctor. I don't even know what to say about that. I understand that birth plans may have to go out the window, but it would still be nice to be educated about stuff. No?

Ugh.
Um - no. I firmly believe you should educate yourself. It's your birthing experience, it's your body; you have a right to an educated opinion about how you would like it to go. That to me would be a big red flag (not because birthing classes are necessary, but because no one should tell you NOT to educate yourself on the process.)
The rest sounds like a nightmare too. I don't think it's ever too late to switch (maybe during labor, but...). Can you ask around to friends and family whom you trust for a recommendation for another OB?
Edit: agree with your dr that birthing plans don't always go as hoped, but thats no reason to throw out the baby with the bathwater, so to speak

Thanks.
I totally agree and am rational enough to understand that sometimes birth plans don't go as planned... but why wouldn't I at least try to learn more about it?
I mean, I will obviously just educate myself, but it kind of bothers me that my doctor didn't seem to even want to have the conversation with me.

Hmm. Yeah, I'd be ready to switch. If a doctor is pulling that attitude, I tend to feel like they think patients are dumb and my desires are stupid. You should never discourage a patient from pursuing education.
Is it definitely too late to switch? I mean, it would be awkward, but you could do it.
SS: I'm getting ready to cook a ton and go visit a former coworker, who just delivered her twins at 30 weeks. The babies are "okay" and in the NICU. I'm cooking chili, breakfast wraps, and brownies to take to her and her husband (they'll be at home). I just ache for what she must be going through. She's also healing from a c-section. Every time mine wiggles inside, I'm like, "STAY THERE. And keep wiggling."
A very dear friend of mine just called to tell me she's pregnant with number 2!! I'm so happy for her! They tried for over a year for this baby and I'm so excited it's happening!

Damn you time zones!
So I just had two Thin Mints and a Samoa. They were pretty good!
I don't know if it's too late to switch. I'm going to ask around for any recommendations the next few days. I guess it can't hurt to call a different doctor and talk to them.
I hate girl pants. They are stupid. In case your wondering why I hate girl pants there are a few reasons. One the pockets hold nothing in them pockets are made to hold things that's why they got invented. Two some of them even have fake pockets what is the point of that just put the stupid pocket there it's not like it can hold anything anyway (see reason one). Three men/boys pants are looser and in my opinion fit a hell of a lot better are more durable and in general a better made product most of the time. (Skinny jeans is another matter entirely and men/boys should not be wearing them a long with pants that hang off your butt. Those both should not happen.) Anyway back to my point girl pants suck and I hate them.
@lest12 - definitely worth looking into. You deserve to feel happy and confident with the medical professional you choose to work with throughout your pregnancy and delivery!
My back is a beast lately. And strangely enough, it's my upper back, not lower. Finally called a chiropractor & just found out my old chiropractor treats pregnant ladies! I'm so stoked! He's such a good chiropractor. A Can't wait for my appointment on Tuesday now! Please let this help all my other aches too [-O<
I haven't seen this posted today, and Im not sure how this works (meaning am I supposed to start a new tuesday ss/aw/ thread) but either way My SS moment:

Does anyone else notice how many typos there are that say "love tit" instead of "love it"? I giggle every time.
Or is this something that everyone is doing on purpose, but I'm not in on the joke?

I have a new Dr. appointment at 1:00 today.
The stress of all of this has obviously caused ugly crying all morning so I'm sure my new doctor will be impressed by my composure!
Thank you for the push in this direction though, ladies. xoxo.

All of these are great with that kid!
