Left is the last bump pic I took, 3 days before giving birth. Right is 3 days post partum. I'm 6 feet tall, gained 7 pounds and have lost 9 so far (don't be jealous -- I was on the miserable GD diet and I'm still about 60 pounds overweight). Despite being below my pre pregnancy weight, there's a huge difference between how I looked before pregnancy and how I look now. It will take weeks for my stomach to fully deflate and become normal again.
Yay! I'm so happy this thread was started, I know when I was a FTM I would have loved to see something like this. Excuse my PJ's, but they are super cute, they were given to me right after I gave birth, so they are falling off now. Anyways, this is me 5, almost 6 weeks PP. You have to remember that my baby was born 9 weeks early so I didn't have a chance to reach max capacity. All of the stretch marks that I have are from my 3 previous pregnancies, again because I didn't go full term I didn't get any new ones. But just like @Laura8388 said, I would rather have a billion new stretch marks than have a baby STILL in the NICU. What I really want to share is how my belly looks with my c section incision right now. I had never had a c section before, so I was curious to know what it would look like PP when I found out I had to have one. I felt like I should see how you ladies feel about me sharing that before I post pics of it. So if you'd like to see my c section incision let me know. Haha, that sounds funny, but I'm willing to share:)
Ok, one yes vote is all I need! Eek, this is kind of scary, but here goes... The side view shows how my skin still hangs over the incision which my EX mother in law said will never go away (bitch), but @katykatykaty made me feel better about that. All in all, not as bad as I expected, but then again I didn't know what to expect! Thanks @Laura8388 for permission to post;). Blast damn it, they're sideways! Foiled again! Oh well, hopefully you get the idea.
@zombielove126 - I tried to take a picture of my scar too to show how my stomach looks wonky. It is crooked seeming with a lump on the side. I had the same exact thing with my first and thought it would never go away. It took a while but eventually did about a year later.
@babylimas, wonky is a great word to describe it! I had a larger lump on each side of the incision initially. When I went for my first PP appointment my doc said it was scar tissue, he told me to massage it and it should go down. I've been massaging it and it's gone down quite a bit so far.
I amazed... I mean, I get how it all works, but it still blows my mind that babies grew in our bellies and that's where they came out
It blows my mind that our March babies that have already arrived should technically still be inside our bellies. Whenever I look at Cam I think, damn - this is what he would look like inside of me right now. Unbelievable!
You ladies look amazing--like crazy amazing to see flat stomachs so soon PP. I just want to throw out there, though, for all the FTMs looking for an idea of what to expect, that it doesn't always work that way, so please don't feel bad about yourself if it takes longer than a few weeks to look like these lovely ladies do. Pre-preg I had a thin, athletic build and while I did lose the weight, it took 9mo and my body was VERY different than it was pre-preg (shaped differently and my stomach was still jiggly and not at all flat). If my expectations were that I should look like some of these ladies it would have been even harder than it was to get used to my 'new skin.' Just love what your body has been able to do and make reasonable goals that work for you. I love the 9 months to gain it, 9 months to lose it philosophy.

This thread is amazing and I have learned so much from reading everyone's stories! All of you mamas look absolutely beautiful! It really helps to see all the different results. I know that my body will be different PP, and just like pregnancy, everyone's experience is different. It's threads like this that make me happy I joined and became active on this board, because I am pretty sure I would feel SO lost.
@vineyardmel - I agree that this thread is actually not a good representation. Everyone sharing had babies early and had pretty low weight gain. Also I see no stretch marks. My picture looks more flattering than it is bc it's only from the front - I still have a very rounded belly that sticks out farther than my boobs.
I also gained about 15 lbs from BFing my first. I didn't realize that could happen and was very disappointed! I always said "9 months in, 9 months out," then switched that to "9 months in, oh hell screw it."

I think I like that philosophy even better!

I wanted to share again to show my stretch marks, and my incision is close by so I threw that in as a bonus. I'm a little over 3w pp. And the stretch marks are a little darker than they look in the picture, lighting I guess.
Love this thread!!!! Thanks for starting it. I see no reason for it to become something negative unless people make it that way. Unlike most of the weight posts we had earlier in the pregnancies, it doesn't seem like any of these posters are trying to be braggy or rub it in people's faces what they have/haven't lost. I really appreciate it being posted! As a FTM, I've been wondering what to expect. And all the "post-baby" photos I search on Pinterest come up with 8 pack abs. So I'm extra appreciative of reality on here.
Edited: I forgot to mention how amazing ALL of you look!!!
Wow, you all look amazing! I never had a flat belly before pregnancy unless I was sucking it in. I don't have any idea what I'll look like PP, but I doubt it's anything like you ladies.
Re: HDBD post partum edition updated with more pics
