@alwaysnc4me, I've fallen twice this winter and wasn't worried a bit until it took my OB seemingly-forever to find his HR at my routine appointment after the second fall. Little stinkers already! [-X
@TalllMomma29 - you do realize there's like, at least 3 hours (driving) worth of river that you can stand on the PA side and stare at NJ from, right? Make sure to make the most out of every meal.. if you're in Philly, eat a cheesesteak.
And also, layers are your friend.
I was trying to be vague and mysterious for all the lurkers, because it's the internets ;-) But heck, Philly is a big city... That's where I'll be, and I am totally planning to eat cheesesteaks like it's my job ;-)
I am also definitely planning to pack every long sleeved layer I own!
Hahaha. Sorry!! You are quite mysterious!!! I somehow feel like if people are willing to try to track me down in a city of 1.5 million people, they deserve the chance for me to be like, "omg, you're f'ing creepy stalking me from an online pregnancy board?!?!" and bitch slap them.
I'm always extra paranoid because I stand out so much! I've seen too many 20/20 specials where some creepster online pieces together random bits of information and then manages to track someone down. Luckily, it would be extremely difficult to try to kidnap me, and way too much work to get rid of my body... so I always feel pretty safe ;-)
As a Philly girl, this just makes me want to watch everywhere I go for a 6'4" pregnant lady, just to wave and creep you out. ;-)

Definitely be smart to pack warm. I live about 30 min outside Philly and it is supposed to be in the 20's again next week even though this weekend is supposed to be 50's. Dammit, Mother Nature, you're drunk!
What do you think it feels like for baby when I sneeze? I had a sneezing fit today and I wonder if she's in there thinking "cut that shit out mom!" or if she can even feel it at all.
Great now I can't help thinking what it must feel like for the baby when I have an orgasm.... Though that thought might just make it never happen again X(
Like a massage... a fetal massage.
...and all you guys thought I was an asshole. Psht.
Dirty Dancing is great and all but I don't think it held a candle to Patrick Swayze in To Wong Foo: Thanks For Everything. I mean, it's like footloose in drag.
So, I literally just posted that I'm having a boy on FB, and immediately am flooded with messages from a high school friend about how I should positively not circumcise. *sigh* DH and I haven't talked about it yet, but in the end, it's our decision. Give me some time to be excited about the baby before you start pressuring me with your concerns about his wiener. GEEZ!

You should tell her there's a new way you can do a circumcision in utero and it's already been done.
Everytime I go to Starbucks I want to quit my job and work there. The staff always seems so happy.

Omg I LOVE that movie! I'm all about "chi chi Rodriguez" in that movie. I'm going to have to watch it again
God, Chi Chi was so awesome. I think it would have been really easy for them to go over the top but they all nailed it. My favorite part is when Seayze's character gives the woman he is staying with the power to stand up to her abusive husband.
I don't really have a crush on any celebrity. I always have to put thought into who I think is or isn't hot. Also, men with big muscles, not really crazy about them. Whatevs. Show me a picture of a banana split or hot fudge brownie, I go wild.
@dlsexton I have a friend that works at Starbucks. I know her from going through grad school together. And she is very happy at Starbucks despite having a Masters degree. It could be a good plan!!

Silver lining that she did it through PM? That is so freaking weird. People are weird.
Re: sleeping in a bras, I've been sleeping in a sleep bra from motherhood since my tatas were sore back at 10 weeks and its like heaven. If you can find the right night support, embrace it!! I'll never go back!
So my parents finally got their dryer fixed today. The repair guy said that they(and us) are using the "wrong" kind of soap. According to him only stuff made by one of the "big four" companies is formulated right.
The washer is a HE and I use Dropps, which says its okay for that type. My mom uses some cheapie brand that says its okay for HE as well.
Has anybody heard anything like this before? Seems like bullshit to me, not that I will be switching, the stuff I use is the only one I've found that doesn't piss off my eczema.
@sxymamakat, now I will probably pee myself (more than usual for a pregnant lady ;-)) if a stranger waves at me ;-). I'm moreso worried about the creepster fetish people that are not pregnant but lurking here. If you are actually a pregnant woman and not a psycho killer, feel free to wave!! ;-)
@dlsexton, I'm a lawyer and there was a Starbucks in the ground floor of the building where I used to work. There were MANY times where I seriously contemplated quitting and working in that Starbucks where I would see my former coworkers every day. I still think about it but my new building doesn't have a Starbucks so the daydreaming is a little less frequent ;-)
How did the other friend make it worse @jessa8907? I hope you get if figured out soon. Stress dreams suck!
She basically told me I was overthinking things. At one point she insinuated that I just didn't want to be in the wedding. Which is not true at all the timing just sucks. When I got pregnant the date was still in May and then it got moved.
Does that friend have kids? Because that's just a stupid thing to say. Ugh.

People love to do this to pregnant women when it comes to weddings I feel like. They think they aren't capable of being involved or no longer have a desire to take part in what's going on.
I think this makes me an SS but whatever: I've only been feeling light movement so far (anterior placenta) but yesterday in thelibrary Millie kicked me so hard twice, it really startled me. Then last night as hubs was feeling my belly she did it again and it scared me so bad I squealed, lol!
It's such a bizarre feeling I still can't figure out how to describe it to hubs, but I loved it!
I have an anterior placenta and have not felt any certain moves yet! I am excited to hear this. Last pregnancy was the same, anterior placenta, but I felt first movement at 14 weeks, I think feeling movement helps with bonding and I feel like I am missing out not feeling her.
I have an elective ultrasound tomorrow to find out the sex. I wish I could go to sleep for the next 24 hours just to make them pass quickly. It is crazy how this one ultrasound is going to give me a clue to how my life is about to change. Will have two boys or one of each? If I have a girl, I am likely done after this one. If it is a boy, I will likely try one more time. (and then probably end up with three boys). If it is a girl, I am going shopping immediately for some frilly outfits. If it is a boy, I am going home and digging out the baby clothes I kept from my first.
Everything is pointing toward girl. People are predicting it that way, my intuition says it is, the chinese chart says it's a girl... so, it will probably be a boy.

You never know! Most of my symptoms, relatives, and the Chinese chart said boy for me and we are about 90% certain after my Monday appointment that it is, in fact, a boy!
With DD everything was spot on. All the OWTs, the Chinese predictor, everything said girl and we sure enough had a girl.

I am just used to things not going the way I want them to in life, I guess. lol. Always work around it and plan another path. But, my first laid plans are often thwarted.
To be honest, I really do want a girl. More than just about anything. But, I refuse to show even the littlest disappointment at the ultrasound because I will love the baby no matter what and DS6 will be there and I don't want him to think I am not happy. My saving grace is I like my boy name I picked out so much that I will actually be disappointed if I don't get to use it.
I want to feel a kick or something im so jealous of all of you that can already. I keep talking, *out loud* to the baby asking it to kick me, even in the crotch. Im 18 weeks today. Babys gonna be lazy just like daddy! :-)
@TallMomma29, I'm going to be in Philly on Monday (not in center city like a normal person though). I think, just for kicks, I'm going to start waving to tall ladies, just in case. :P Not really.
@amlonica, I don't feel kicking... and 18w4d as STM (even though it was 11 years ago) makes me nervous. Or else super lazy baby... I hope.
Average size: 10.5 inches ***, 12.7 oz. Taste buds are starting to work...
10.5 inches on a rule seems gigantic. I don't think that pomegranates are that large. I would have thought a banana is longer than a pomegranate???
The fruit comparisons drive me crazy . It worked well for the difference between, say, a poppyseed and sunflower seed... but now I feel like every other week the new fruit is actually smaller than the prior week. Last week the baby (banana) was long and skinny, and this week she is short and fat? Pomegranates are DEFINITELY not 10.5 inches long.

I think all of you Philly people should definitely spend Wednesday-Sunday waving at any super tall blonde chick you see ;-) (Now that I went #2 I don't look pregnant anymore :-()
