How long after nesting did you go into labor?

I'm 29 weeks and have been cleaning and organizing like crazy the past week or so.  Just wondering if it means my girls might be coming a little early or if I just know I won't be able to do much later on.

What were your experiences?

Re: How long after nesting did you go into labor?

  • I think it really depends on the person/pregnancy. With my singleton it started to hit me super hard around 22 weeks and he was born at 36 and a few days that was an induction. My twins I had it from 18 weeks rrreeaalllyyy bad, like tear apart the house and wash everything total home make over bad and I was induced at 34 weeks for IUGR. In fact I still have that! My house looks show room ready constantly because that nesting feeling never went away. And my 3 rd pregnancy (late term loss which was actually my first) I never had it at all. I was the complete opposite. But I don't think it's a good indicator of when babies will come. Take advantage of it just be cautious and don't over work yourself :)

  • No correlation for me. Just be careful it isn't a self-fulfilling prophecy by overdoing it.
