Mine comes because we always have an ultrasound. At our last one though, they checked me and argued with me a little bit about constipation while I was in the stirrups. So much for any modesty remaining. I wish he would have skipped that one!!!

Mine is still coming to all of my appointments. He feels that it's more important now because we're actually planning for this whole birth thing. If he couldn't make it I wouldn't be upset though.

Mine got invited to the AS, and he wouldn't be welcome to any others. He doesn't need to watch me get my BP taken, step on the scale, or watch me pee in a cup. He'll also get invited to the birth. :P

MH came to almost all of them with #1, most of them with #2 but only a few for #3. Mostly he doesn't come now because he stays home with the older two but we're also seeing the same home birth midwife we saw last time so we're both familiar and very comfortable with her. It's not like we're getting to know a new doctor or trying to figure out how hospital policies will fit in with our birth plan. I've only had one u/s this pregnancy and he came to that

Mine has been to all of them, front and center, including the recent swab and cervix check that he wasn't quite prepared for. (I'm one of the weirdos that is curious to know my progress). He mentioned that he might sit in the waiting room next time

DH doesn't come to any (aside form my ultrasounds at 8 was and 20 wks). He didn't with DD either, with the one exception with her being when I was on bed rest at 34w and they were checking to see if I had dilated any further. He won't be at any appointments for this baby unless there is a medial reason to be concerns that requires him to be there.

DH tries to come to All OB appointments and BPPs.

But, my OB doesn't have a consistent schedule, so I sometimes see her on days that DH can't make it.

I have bi-weekly BPPs and he has missed 2, but we couldn't see much more than a skull and a foot during those ones anyway. He comes with me as often as possible.

I have weekly NSTs. He came to the first one, but now he goes shopping while I hang out for those.

Mine comes because we have 1 car and his job is on our way home after the doctor. It seems like a waste to go all the way home, just to back track back to his job. Plus he watches dd for me.

Nope, no change. By my invitation he came to the A/S and the midwife appointment right after. Then yesterday we had a two-hour meeting with our doula where we talked about expectations and plans and concerns for the birth and how we would be together as a team, so of course he was a part of that.

But overall I prefer to go to my appointments alone and he doesn't feel the need to go. I've never cared to have anyone else involved with my medical appointments --- I kicked my mom out of the room as soon as I hit puberty (and I ADORE my mother) --- and MH is the most "your body, your choice" man I have EVER met, so it works for us.

Maybe if my pregnancy wasn't so blessedly, thankfully, WONDERFULLY boring and I had stressful decisions to make I'd want him at more of my appointments, but as it is I neither need nor particularly want him there and he is beyond chill with that.

DH came to 2 or 3 appts through week 21, then just came with me this past Tuesday because he wanted to ask the OB about me traveling for work tomorrow and other fragile flower type questions. I also got to have OB tell him to get Tdap and flu shot..better late than never. I'm not sure if he will attend any other appts unless they seem eventful.

Mine comes to everyone. He is self employed and it is easy for him to adjust his schedule (or me my appointment). He's good at them, asking practical questions and he's much better at remembering stuff as my pregnancy brain kicks in.

DH came to a bunch in the beginning and to any ultrasound appointments but then hasn't been to many since because of work. He plans on coming to the next few because we're getting close and he wants to get involved.

DH has come to two appointments. I wish he could make more but I'm OK with that. He helps run the family business and then handles some real estate we own after work. He's super busy and is our primary bread winner so he gets very stressed if he has to leave work during a crisis (typically daily). Since I didn't need him to be present for the routine appointments I've mainly gone alone or with my mom or MIL.

Wow, my husband is a slacker! LOL I never even thought to ask him to come to all these appointments. They are all pretty uneventful. He has come to my u/s ones.

DH has only come to 2 of my appointments--the very first one, and then for the anatomy scan. All of my appointments have been so short that I think it would have been a waste for him to take time off work and drive across the metro and back for a 15 minute appointment. He won't be at any more appointments until the end where baby is born!

He hasn't come to all of them, but he was at the one today where shit hit the fan and I am so glad that he was there. He has truly been my rock today and I can't say enough about how much I love this man!

DH came to NT scan, anatomy scan and my GTT just because he was off that day. If he happened to be off on any of the other days he'd come with me but he never is, not a big deal to me.

We're on our weekly appointments now, too. DH has been to every appointment up until this point, but these are quick and easy and we've luckily had it smooth sailing so far, so I told him he doesn't have to come. I just call him right afterward to let him know what's up, even if everything is fine.

My DH came to all 3 of my U/S, but not the regular appointments. I think if there were something going on I'd let him come, but since everything so far is exactly on track there's no reason for him to sit while I pee in a cup, tell the doc I feel fine, and go home. I'm sure if I offered to let him come with he would, but I just don't see a point.

Also, my nurse lets me record her taking the Doppler reading whenever I want to, so I share that with DH when I get home. I think having him hear that would be the only reason I'd take him to a routine appointment with me.

DH comes to every appt and every ultrasound, not bc I make him either but bc he wants to. I always tell him it's ok if e doesn't but he insists. I switched to weekly last week and he still wants to be at them all

DH is totally out of days other than what he's saving for baby. He went to the US visits and when there has been an emergency. Other than that, it's just me.

DH has been to almost every one. He has missed a few due to being out of town for work or unable to leave work (he is self employed so it's a lot easier for him to get away usually).

SO comes to every appointment now lol His hours changed at work so he's available all mornings (which my appointments are mostly mornings) so why not come with me, he's the one alway asking me. Beside, now that the due date is close, I'm having a hard time walking alone, so it makes us feel better knowing I have someone else with me.
