Dexter toddles around the house with his hands behind his back clasped and his little belly reminds me of Winnie the Pooh.
I'm beginning to irrationally freak out about the French courses I have to take this fall ( was GOING to take LAST fall but it didn't fit into my schedule.) I am so not brushed up on my French and terrified because I need these last two French courses to complete my Bachelors. I just want this to be over.
FFWC: I've never owned or even tried on a pair of Toms. Are they worth looking into? One of my friends from home is having a baby shower this weekend and I'm excited to actually get to go to it I'm having a rough time figuring out what to wear though since I normally wear dresses to these things but its too cold for me to wear one up here

You can still wear a dress. A sweater dress with boots, or a sundress with a cardigan. You just have to wear a peacoat or so either polar vortex acceptable jacket

I've never tried them either, but there is so much cute on zulily right now that I think the kids and I need multiple pairs.

STUCK
I've never tried them on either but I think I'll be ok. If you're inbetween sizes it says to order a size down. I'm usually a 10 so I ordered that. I hope they fit well. If not I think resale I'd make money vs. losing it. DS got 2 pairs in sizes up for the summer. I'm so excited, it's ridiculous!
I got in this morning and wondered why I had 11 notifications! LOL you are welcome @pokedot. I couldn't do it again. SOMEDAY I will buy myself and LO a pair of TOMS, it just won't be today.
I just got to work from taking LO to the ENT and she has to have tubes like immediately. So, she gets tubes next Tuesday. I almost cried on the way to work about it. There is something wrong with me!

Aww, she will be OK. A few of my friends' LOs have gotten tubes and the parents said it was a very easy procedure, and then their kids weren't getting infections all the time.

I don't have any sweater dresses....never needed one in SC. But the cardigan idea is a good one! I do have some of those that would work over a dress. Thanks for the idea!
@willy_gert There is nothing wrong with you! I am sure you are nervous and overwhelmed, I would be. At least she will finally get some relief. I know there are some S12 moms who have been through it that can give you some advice.
I'm eating an iceberg salad. I have had at least one salad everyday this week. I'm kind of over it but I still have a plethora of lettuce in my fridge that needs consuming.

So do I, but I was too lazy to make a salad last night and too rushed this morning, so there it sits, while I'm at the office.

Making a salad takes too much time. You have to chop everything. So much work for something I don't want to eat.
I always thought Toms were ugly too. I ordered them the last time they were on Zulily because I heard how comfortable they are and I wanted something I could just throw on to take the kids outside and such. They are super comfortable. So now I ordered their ballet flats to see if I can get ones that are comfy and more attractive.
Yea...for the money, I have plenty of options that can be thrown on to go outside and are still comfortable. I'm only talking about that basic style. Up until today I didn't know they made other styles and some of those are cute.
I still don't understand anyone's deal with Tom's.. They're ugly. They're on the same level of ugly as Crocs, and IMO are only cute on kids/babies.
You already know my stance on Croc's but I do love me some TOM's on kids. I don't care for the kid looking ones on adults however. I got some wedges that I'm more than excited to own. The ballet flats are cute too.
@BPer, AG maternity jeans are the best. Super comfy, and they are on sale at destination maternity right now, though I think they're worth the regular price.
Did everyone else know that H&M had kids clothes but me? They're cute. I thought H&M was just for skinny girls so I never checked out anything there. They have plus size, maternity, kids and home stuff. I feel so enlightened!

CJ's daycare called for me to pick him up because he's being fussy. For the love of Pete, I'm trying to caught up on documentation given all the snow days. Plus I could have billed two more hours. MOTY right here
There is nothing wrong with thinking that. Fussy? Does he have a fever? Is he showing a physical symptom of illness? I would question them on that for sure. If my kid is sick, I would pick them up, but fussy? That could be needing a nap, hungry, anything.

Agreed! Thankfully daycare always calls DH first because he works in town and he will ask them all of those things before saying he will come to get her.

I'm pretty sure they should get over it. My kids are fussy 75% of the time. They are kids.
S/o daycares. Yesterday my mom picked DD up from her morning school (8:15 - 12:30) and her pull-up was so soaked in pee that it was falling off of her/making her pants fall down. They also fed her popcorn which gives her diarrhea (they have the documentation saying not to give it to her).
I want to say something but I don't want to sound like a bitch. But seriously? Can you not take my child to the GD bathroom or at least change her pants?

Either one of those situations would make me say something. Both happening in the same day would make me livid. Honsestly, I am not a bitchy person, but when it comes to the care of my kids, I will say nearly anything. They can't advocate for themselves, they depend on me.
B fell and got a gash on his head at daycare today. WE had to take him to have it stapled. I felt like a terrible mother for taking him back to daycare afterwards but I didn't have any other option as I've been slammed with work.
I love it when someone calls me an asshole on Facebook, but they vaguebook it so that people won't know it's me they're talking about - so our mutual friends are unknowingly being all "yeah! What an asshole! RAH RAH!"

I agree. Have you been noticed stuff like this before or was it a one time thing?

Not really. I mean, they have lost a couple articles of clothing and aren't the best with communicating what is going on in the classroom. It was just the combination of those things happening in one day that seemed pretty ridiculous.

That sucks! I'm sorry BME!
It half hurt my feelings and half cracked me up. Facebook is such a weird place!

Seriously. DD is fussy every single day when we leave the house because she'd rather be asleep still. If I stayed home to meet all of her whims, I'd never be in the office.

I would have said something. They should be doing bathroom breaks/diapering every two hours, minimum. And giving a kid food that the parents said is not OK is stupid and potentially dangerous.

I emailed the director (she isn't in the office after 2). If I don't hear back from her tomorrow I will call. I'm still simmering.
I'm looking at houses even though we're really not looking to move anytime too soon. I'm just getting the itch to move into a slightly bigger house. I want to stay in our area but every house in our price range needs as much or more work than what we've already put into this house. I'm so over renovating!
