This is my 1st and was grossed out by it. SO thought I was kidding him until I called the doctor and explained what I saw. Has this ever happened to anyone? How long after did baby come? Doc told me not to worry but I'm a little nervous. First time mommy jitters I guess...

If you ask me what I came to do in this world, I, an artist, I will answer you:
Losing your Mucus plug CAN mean labor, it can also NOT mean labor. I think it's a valid thing to post.
OP just keep a watch for cramping, bleeding, etc. it's good you already called your doc, hopefully it will give you some peace of mind!
It's just a different ball game when it happens to you then when you just hear about it.

It's much less of an eye roll at Grace herself, and much more a great big "ohhhhh boy, here comes the MP deluge" reaction.
I didn't say it was "bad" I said I don't get why people have an issue with this post. People post about snissing, blood clots, and gross shit all the time- pregnancy, labor and after birth can be pretty fucking gross and a damn mucus plug is not the worst of it.
This. Plus the whole "ZOMG AM I THE ONLY ONE IN THE HISTORY OF EVAR?!?!" questions that come with them. Cause, you know, millions of women haven't been pregnant or had mucus plugs before this, and Google (or one of hundreds of pregnancy books) couldn't possibly provide this information.
Uh, swearing throughout your post is much more "feisty" than what OP received. It's just the first of many. It's like "Am I pregnant?" "Is this movement?" "Am I in labor?" Questions. All very repetitive, but questions none of us internet strangers can answer. Calm down.
Well I felt bad for OP. When I lost my mucus plug I went into labor the next day- I totally get where she is coming from. Especially being a FTM. I get people aren't excited about repetitive mucus plug posts but a lot of posts are repetitive here- it comes with the territory of being on a pregnancy forum. there are a bunch of pregnant women going through the same stage- I didn't see the big deal with her posting this. That's all.
OP - it could be weeks before you go into labor. Or it could happen soon. None of us know. Be sure to pay close attention to your body. And go with your gut. If you dont feel right call your doc or go to L&D. I personally dont care if the nurses look at me like I am crazy, its your body and only you can tell when it doesnt feel right.
Good luck and I hope baby stay snuggled inside you for at least another 7 weeks ;-)

To everyone who is all white knighting and all "what's the big deal?" : people can post whatever they want. This is a forum, and we get that. As more and more people post these kinds of topics, though, posters should expect to get snark, gifs, sarcasm, etc. especially if they post when we've got several of the same kinds of posts on the first three pages. You are all correct, OP's post isn't a big deal. But I invite you to stick around for two months and see if you don't change your tune about everyone having the right to post mucus plug posts.

Can this please be the only MP post?
