i will get all excited and be like I'm going to clean today....then i sit down to drink my coffee and then i turn on the tv...and then i decide its prob best to take a nap. i tell myself when i get up from my nap ill clean and then i decide its time to eat lol I'm to damn lazy to clean and when i bend down to pick up stuff i end up peeing on myself then i have to change and it just never works out... nesting is overrated lol ill do it two days before i go into labor like i always do...
DH and I have both been nesting I guess. Lol. I went through our filing cabinet and cleaned out years worth of old papers. We've been transitioning DS #1 to a big boy room plus dragging all of the baby stuff out. We found the totes of baby clothes from DS for this new little guy and have been washing them like crazy to get a head start. So far we have most of the 0-12 month clothes washed and put away.
We are trying to finish in the next few weeks because my chances of going on bedrest are high by time the third trimester rolls around.
Since we're moving in a couple months, I have easily resisted the urge to nest. I have been planning ahead of time though for what needs to be done. Since we have a 1 year old who will be sharing a room with ds2, I guess I have twice the planning to do. However, if i had the space where we'll be keeping the boys at, I probably would be nesting like crazy.
What is this "nesting" y'all speak of? Cleaning? Organizing? Painting? Very intimidating.
But for real... We moved into this house about a month ago and still haven't painted anything. Every wall is pure white. Ugh. I have every intention of doing that stuff, but can't seem to find any motivation.
I have a feeling that my Amazon Prime membership is going to come in handy. I'll just have everything in my "cart" and when my water breaks, I'll "checkout".
I've never procrastinated like this before.
HAHAHA I keep everything in my "cart" too. If something goes on sale tho I normally go ahead and get it.
We are moving in 2 weeks so that is probably why I'm not feeling the urge yet. Once we are in our new place and there is actually a nursery, I hope it kicks in!
Nesting has hit hard this week. I went out and bought a ton of new organizational items for different areas of the house this weekend and have been tackling areas bit by bit. I'm anxiously awaiting tomorrow (my day off) when I whirlwind through all of our closets and throw shit we don't need or use anymore away. I also have continuously building plans for the deep clean on my house. I've reorganized the cabinets in the kitchen for a spot for baby's bottles. Oh and I've carpet scrubbed the will be nursery (once hubs relocates his home office) twice.
I think I'm nesting at work too.
We are still house hunting- with no luck- and I would like to be moved by Easter. I wish I had the luxury of nesting, but I don't, so I try to ignore it!
I have a (not-too-close) friend that is also pregnant now, and after her baby shower, she had her clothes "washed, folded, and put away"- the next day! Our lives are in really different places now, so I just try not to compare! (It's tough tho!)
I've had it a few times now. It feels so good to get the work done... And then my toddler comes along and destroys it lol. Here's hoping I get it again near the end of third tri!
