Baptizing DS - what to get Godparents?

He will have 3 Godparents, 2 Godmothers, 1 Godfather.  What is customary to give to them?  And where can I get something appropriate for him to wear without spending a ton of money?  He will be 11 1/2 months and is already wearing 18 months in some clothes, and at least 12 months in all others.  TIA

We aren't going to get the Godparents anything.  I will send them a nice note after the baptism thanking them for being part of DS's life.  Can't help on the outfit - we got ours from a speciality store in VA for about $80.

Honestly, I think being asked to be a Godparent is gift enough.  You could try BRU for an outfit for your son- they might have some nice suits or casual suits (clearance from Easter).

I will be getting a little sometihng for the Godparents but I am not sure yet so thanks for posting this.  We got DD's dress at BRU.

I've never heard of this before I came on these boards.  I've been a godparent many times over and never got anything other then the honor.

For outfits- we got DS's at Elder Beerman.  I also saw quite a few at Sear's.  Target on-line has some as well.

We got engraved photo albums from Things Remembered.  The godparents loved them!
