I just wanted to say I had my cerclage removed today! I was terrified when I needed to have it placed as I thought I could lose another baby. Then the date of removal was so faraway. Today I hit removal date at 37w2d. I am scared and excited and so incredibly grateful LO and I have made it this far!
As for dilation and effacement I got nothing for you ladies. Or even the state of my mp, sorry. (I'm not sorry)
After I was discharged from the hospital I also promptly bought 5 boxes of Girl Scout cookies and looked at DH like he was crazy when he asked if I was sharing.
Married 11/23/11, TTC starting 10/12, BFP#1 11/30/12, Adoption of stepson finalized 03/19/13,Loss of our daughter at 20w4d due to incompetent cervix 03/27/13, BFP#2 06/28/13, DS2 born 3/1/14.
Yay, so happy for you! So did it go ok? Did you get any pain meds? Ugh, soooo nervous!
I opted for heavy sedation instead of a spinal. The whole procedure took maybe 10 min. I had to check in 2 hrs prior, had it removed, and then baby was monitored for an hour. Since I didn't have a spinal I was able to get up and walk, eat, and pee so once they were done with monitoring I was discharged. I was so sedated I was essentially out. My MFM does the removals in L&D and not in his office. I had minor minor spotting, it has already stopped and I am a little sore, but overall it was way easier than having it placed, that's for sure.

I'm glad it went well, I'm jealous though. Mine does them in office as long as there are no difficulties and with no sedation or spinal. Eeeek.
