Intro! :)

I'm the mom to an almost-19 month old little guy, and we just got the call today that he's allergic to peanuts, egg whites, and cat and dog dander.  We'd known about the dogs since we have a friend whose dog always gave my son hives (not the dander though, just the saliva whenever he got licked), but the peanut allergy is what's really throwing us.  He did have hive breakouts when he ate peanut butter and scrambled eggs, and he also threw up certain foods when he was around a year old.  But we were kind of just hoping he'd grow out of it.

We got our scores back and I guess that according to the RAST, he's moderate for those categories (class 2), although our pediatrician categorized them as high.  We had to make an appointment for an allergist where I guess he'll get skin-tested, based on what I've read on the board.

I just wanted to introduce myself and thank you for all the help you've given each other already! It's good to know I'm far from alone in all this new stuff!
