I guess I'm a little spoiled... I got roses & a diamond & Tahitian pearl necklace which matches the earrings he bought me on our honeymoon in Moorea, Tahiti.
Didn't get anything, but DH is between his old and new job at the moment.. so we are completely broke (had to borrow food money from out parents this pay period !!) BUT I did get a big ol hamburger for lunch and spent the day with him. He is normally a big romantic so im sure he wishes he couldve done something but honestly im just happy to hang out with him all day.
I walked into my garage and found my car decorated. My DH had written on the windshield & doors. When I opened the car door, he had a box of (my favorite) GiGi's cupcakes on my seat along with a hand written letter. He's also taking me on a surprise adventure Sunday. He's the best!
My husband got up late at night before valentines day morning and put little kids valentines all over the house for me to find. He walked through my entire morning routine and put 36 cards in places I would find them. In the fridge, in the shower, in my coat pockets, in my car, in my work uniform, and every where in between! It was so sweet since he really knew my whole morning to a T.... Weird cuz he NEVER gets up with me that early lol.
My husband called me at work and said, happy valentines day. I didn't get you any flowers-because I was planning on getting you some on your birthday.... Oh thanks I say. Well, I surprised him with pizza from our favorite place and a light rose wine. I came in the house and my daughter ran up to me saying " mommy I have a present for you!!! And gave me a bouquet of roses." Apparently she picked it out herself .
DH surprised me with Him!! He's been gone for two weeks on business and it was supposed to be a 3 week stretch before we'd see him again. I've had a really hard time so my baby brother kindly invited us to a valentines day lunch yesterday. Lo and behold he was in on the surprise all along... DH walked in behind him at the restaurant with a bouquet of red tulips. I bawled my eyes out! Our son was equally surprised and was SO excited to see Daddy! And it gets better... We're leaving to visit my parents in Florida tomorrow and DH is coming with us! I'm so excited! So this has easily been the best valentines day....ever! He also had my other brother babysit last night and we went to our favorite steak house, sat at the bar, listened to live jazz and ate oysters. I'm a lucky girl
Well a few weeks ago we raided a consignment shop during a deal and for a bunch of onesies with a lot that were about how awesome daddy was but no mommy ones...so DH surprised me with three onesies that were all mommy ones- one he said he wants Addison to wear home from the hospital! Oh and construction paper card because I was making fun of his hole punch he had for some work stuff.
I got him the daddy diaper backpack that Quicksilver makes that he wanted and filled it with a special beer from a favorite brewery, a magazine subscription, Reese's Hearts, and some baby care items. He surprised me by scheduling an elective US for us so I get to see our son once more before he arrives. Such an awesome Valentine's Day. Can't wait for our appointment today - I could hardly sleep!
I was totally spoiled this year : ) DH bought me the most beautiful diaper bag EVER! It's the Storksac Elizabeth. https://www.storksak.com/product.php?shopprodid=45&variantid=149 . He also gave me flowers and a card and is taking me to a surprise location today to go snowshoeing. Feeling very blessed.
We don't like making a fuss over Valentine's Day. Normally just a card or something simple like make a small dinner at home. But this year he surprised me with my favorite Hershey's pot of gold chocolate and Reese's peanut butter cup hearts. Soooo yummy (and greatly timed I needed a sweet tooth fix). A card and most importantly a new chain for a necklace he had custom made for me last year! I have been able to wear it for months cause the clasp broke so he bought a better one for it so excited! I missed my necklace. He's such a sweetie! And I don't wanna fuss cause I know he's planning on proposing in a few weeks at some point.

Re: Happy V-Day, what did ya get?
Heartburn!
We agreed to not to exchange gifts this year. We went to dinner with our church group, that was fun!
