UO: I think peaches are nasty.  Something about their smell turns me off, not to mention the texture.  A fruit that is fuzzy can't be trusted.

    Me too! Nasty!
I always get weird reactions from people when I say I don't like peaches.

    No peaches in Osoville, k?

    Deal! No problem!

My UO: if you don't like peaches, you've never had a good one.

I live in GA, where peaches grow better than grass, and there is nothing better than a ripe off the tree peach.

Also, I moved to GA to avoid winter weather. I did not sign up for this and I want a refund. It does make me feel better that Chicago (where I moved from) has 7' drifts in places and I got 2 snow days for rain.
    Married DH <3 : 7/7/12; 3 fur babies (2 dogs and 1 cat)
DS born 9/3/13; DD born 7/22/15; LO due 5/28/18
FS (age 5) and FD (age 2) to become AS/AD very soon!

My UO is I am not a germaphobe in the least. I practice good hand hygiene especially at work but lily will not get a flesh eating bacteria if I put her in a shopping cart without a cover. I put a picture on Facebook of her first time sitting in a cart and my crazy SIL immediately scolded me telling that lily will catch "Germies" if I don't use a cover. Why don't you use your parenting energy on your almost 3 year old that constantly smacks you across the face. (Sorry for the added bitch fest)
Shopping carts are more disgusting than porta potties. Fact.

Sometimes even the most perfect child goes through a hitting phase. Its not a parenting thing, its a baby learning how to communicate frustration.
Fact:  Next shopping trip we will hit up the porta potty and do some crawling lessons.

Yes, you are absolutely right hitting is a form of communication.  I have been hit, kicked, pinched, bit, and spit on as a way of communication.  My point was she should use the time to scold me to figure out what her kid is trying to communicate with his year long "phase" of hitting.
Ok 1, you are truly disgusting. Ew. And 2, hypocritical much?

  • Veronica Roth needs to be beaten for ruining the Divergent Trilogy by using dual perspectives in the 3rd book (Allegiant). If I wanted to know what Tobias was thinking I would ask. I didn't, therefore, I don't care. I want my stupid YA novel to be all blithering idiot 16yo girl without a shred of common sense to be untainted by someone with a level head. Period.

I also hated the ending. I get what she was trying to do, but she failed.

TOTALLY. As soon as I saw the split narrative, I knew exactly how it was going to end. It made me so sad.

I'm reading "The Selection" series now, which means my whiney, YA dystopian requirements. The 3rd one comes out in like May, so it is giving me something to look forward to.

I've had fresh Georgia peaches when driving through the state. Nope. Can't do it.

I'm gagging just thinking of trying to eat one. Bleh!

Nooooo!!! I loved the dual perspective. BUT I was used to it from the Delirium series.

I want to know everything Tobias is thinking. Hot damn the actor they cast is sexxxy!!

Now- if you want to discuss the ending. That's when I get upset!!!

This. If it's below -20 or above 100, I think complaining is the only reasonable reaction.

Nope not hypocritical when it's my patients.

  • My UO: I feel like a lot of people think of FL as this tropical paradise that's always sunny & glorious. I grew up there & it's not...it's humid as shit in the summer & the Mosquitos could eat you alive.
It's easy to think about living there during a blizzard, but FL has it's downside just like anywhere else.
(No offense to any FL ladies...just saying it's not all rainbows & butterflies)
  • Completely agree @LokiLahve. DH says hed move there in a heartbeat if I was up for it. Hell no! Sure the vacation spots are great...but that's all it will be for me, vacation.

I actually grew up on Disney property. You don't fool me with your pixie dust ;)

We lived ON Disney property, not IN the parks, lol. We could see the fireworks from our back door & if we went down to the community's lake we could watch the water lights parade.

I have actually held off on getting the last book because I've heard it was so awful. But I'm also dying to know what happens! This makes me sad! :-(
