I just spent the last 30 minutes checking out the cervix's of strangers. This is what happens when you can't sleep and reach the end of the internet.

I remember my first gyno exam, I asked questions any teen would. My doc cheerfully got out a mirror and showed me my cervix. To this day I am thankful and amused :P.

I found this site back when I first started charting, it was such a great find - I had no idea what a cervix was supposed to look or feel like and couldn't find it for charting CP and such, this site helped me to figure things out like no written description could!

I love this! I should ask my doc to do this for me at my next exam, I've always been so interested in all of that body sciency stuff. When I had surgery to remove a ganglion from my wrist many years back I asked and was allowed to watch, it was so cool!

I found this site back when I decided I wanted to check CP and I couldn't figure out what exactly I was even feeling around for. It was really helpful and fascinating and it did result in me finding my cervix so that I could add yet more info to my chart.

That happened to me by an old lady working at PP when I was in my late teens/early 20's. Her words "Darling, you have a beautiful cervix... I can tell you don't smoke." Wow.

This is a common mistake for new/learning providers. Those are not the appropriate words to use when talking about genitals. I am sure she got a talking to.

As for the old lady, she should know better.

I totally made DH look at it, and I made sure the first one I showed him was the CD1 cervix lol. His face was great. Good thing he loves me.
