I made this little set for a friend... I used a baby template, and I'm in shock at how small it all is. A little neck will fit it that bib?? Eeekkk! Wake up call!
I've been shocked at the teeny size of the neck holes in my bibs too! I tried to stick one on my 2.5 year old and it was too tight but not by much so I guess it'll be fine! Can't believe how teeny they are though!

Check out my latest projects for the master bedroom. I bought this coffee table and lamp at a moving sale that was posted on Craigslist. I turned the coffee table into a bench and redid the whole lamp
I made the artwork for the baby's room! I saw them on etsy, but didn't want to spend the $75 + shipping, so I used my own materials and made them for about $10! I'm getting so excited for her arrival!!!
That's the same look I'm going for for our LOs nursery! I've pinned pictures just like that and yours turned out adorable! What's the nursery look like in general? I'm stuck on bedding which is making it hard to pick paint and all that!!

Love these @MamaBrunco! How did you make them? What did you use for templates for the birds/trees? Is that fabric or paper that you used?

Wow ladies, I'm slacking on my check-ins, but I've been busy making stuff!
First, I made this really cute sweater for my little girl (can't remember if I've posted this here or not):
Then, I decided that it was so damn cute that I wanted a smaller one to match the hat I received from WoaC, so I switched to a lighter weight yarn and a smaller gauge hook, and made this one:
Then I saw this pattern on Pinterest and decided that I need to make a few of these...I started with this one and plan to make more - crocheted basket:
Then I made my mom a pair of wristlets (fingerless gloves) to keep her hands warm while she works from home in her igloo office:
And finally, I made a newborn photo prop for a lovely A14er, aviola329:

Umm so you're amazing!!! I'm in awe!!! It takes me forever to finish a crochet project!!! Those sweaters are BEYOND adorable!!!! How long did they take? Could a beginner tackle that????? Here in Botswana winter comes May-Aug so it will be mighty cold just after LO comes....buildings and houses are not heated here....gets down to about 35 at night outside.

Awww thanks!! "> The sweaters, because I am currently not working, took me a day and a half with several breaks in between to get my toddler fed/thirst quenched/attention/out of my yarn/out of shit in the kitchen/etc. I'm sure a beginner could do it, but you would need to know how to follow a pattern well. I'd be happy to make you one, if you're interested!
My due date was pushed back to April 28, so I lurk here. I could use some advice.
This is the blanket I'm making for the baby. I don't know what I was thinking when I started it. The stripes are supposed to be horizontal. However, if I keep going it is going to be HUGE! If I stop here it is just a smidge bigger than DD's baby blankets, but the stripes will go vertically and I don't like that as much. WWYD?

I think if you keep going or stop, either way the stripes will be vertical - is this supposed to be a swaddling blanket?? And TBH, it looks fantastic whether the stripes are vertical or horizontal. Nice work!

Not really a swaddling blanket. Just a blanket to throw over babe in the carseat, etc. It's crochet.
Right now the rectangle is longer vertical stripe-wise than horizontal, but it's to keep going after the white stripe so that it's longer in the other direction (does that make sense?)
A crochet Easter pinafore I made for the baby. I might add a couple of decorations to spice it up a bit. Also not sure if I like the opening in the front or the back.
Made a mini baseball pennant mobile for over his crib! So excited to finally start hanging things up for him
I love this!! I think I'm going to steal this ideas since DH is a huge baseball fan!! Where did you get the team flags?
I work at a baseball store (cardinals clubhouse)! So we had a pack of mini pennants. Id maybe try mlb.com or something of that nature if you're not in the saint louis area!
Made a bunch of bibs and embellished some cloth diapers to use as burp cloths.
I love those all!! Ahh I wish I knew how to sew! or had friends/family that knew how to sew!!
You ladies amaze me! If you have free time and want to make me something just let me know how much!
PM me what you are looking for! My DH is ready to kill me because I've been making so. much. stuff. Crafting has been my nesting since we can't set up a nursery, so I'm always willing to make people stuff!

OMG LOVE THIS!! Did you use a pattern?? Can you link it here?? I'd love to make this for my baby girl!
Did a bunch of sewing the other day. Made at dog a new bed, a new apron for myself, a cute pillowcase for easter, and a few other small things. I felt very productive. Trying to dwindle down my fabric stash.
I have to AW something that my sister (also a crafty mom) made and gave to me at my shower...she painted a little gnome home and made gnome people that look like all of our family members. LO is the one with red hair wearing a pointy hat. Love!!

I created some digital wall art in Illustrator yesterday. We are naming our little girl "Aria" which means lioness and is also a kind of music. Now I just need to get them printed and finish antiquing the frames. Hooray for finally putting the finishing touches on the nursery!
I think there are several versions of the pattern floating about, but that's the one I used. Post a pic if you make it! Loads of scalloping so a onesie underneath or a cute cloth diaper/diaper cover might be in order.
I totally will! Though I might use cotton yarn and make it as a summer dress, since it can get into the high 90s and 100s here during the hottest part of the summer - this would make the perfect "First 4th of July" outfit!

I love that you are using the importance of the meaning behind her name!

Making DH a "Yay! You're a daddy!" gift basket for his birthday. It's gonna have lots of daddy-type presents, but the DIY part is this deck of cards I made, adapted from a Pinterest tutorial. It's 52 reasons why I know he's going to be a good dad. I can't wait until all the other stuff comes in the mail to put it all together!
Re: Crafty Momma Check-In
I'm also planning on painting some pictures for the nursery. I'll post pics when I'm done!

FTR I wish I could sew too! I'd never have to buy clothes for the kids again (well, until they started school anyway lol)!
Thanks! It's definitely been fun
