We always test together. But I peed on a test really early one night and thought I might see a really faint line. I took it downstairs to him and asked if I was crazy and he said yes.
The next morning I took another and there definitely was a faint line. They he admitted he thought he saw one the night before but he didn't want to get my hopes up;)

I had done a blood test and it was later in the evening so I had said we'd probably not hear back. I accidentally ignored the call from the doctor but saw I had results on my online medical chart. Sure enough, message stating that I was pregnant. I screamed to my husband who was in the kitchen-- "I'm pregnant, I'm not kidding" and read him the doctor's message. We had just rediscussed pursuing infertility advice.
Called him at work and said "omg you won't believe this but I'm pregnant" We were not trying and in fact I had had a CT scan the week before so I was obviously freaked out about that and to be honest still am. So sadly, nothing exciting here!
I POAS just before getting into a bath. DH walked in and tried to give me a glass of wine (what a sweetie). I told him thanks, but no thanks, then lifted up the stick. His reaction was pretty bland. But then again, this is our second and a complete surprise. I think he was just relieved I had a reason for the over the top tears the day before.
Of all the months to get pregnant I did not think it was going to be November. We got married 11/15 and of course my period had shown up a week early so no happy night for us. I O early in my cycle, but I came down with a cold the day after the wedding. DH got it the following week. I only took the rest because dd was playing with stuff and opened it (along with a dozen tampons). I didn't believe it was positive. I was shaking as I woke dh up to look at the test and make sure I wasn't hallucinating.
Not super romantic, more like shocking, even though we were ntnp.
First one...put a sign around our new puppy that said "big sister".
Second one...put a shirt on DS that said "big brother". He was napping when he got home so I had to wait a while!
This one...took three tests over two days because I didn't believe it...when he came home from work, had DS in a shirt that said "one of three" DD in a shirt that said "two of three" and I wore a shirt that just said "three" across my belly.
I put baby booties in his Christmas stocking and when he came home from work I told him I we got an early Christmas present. I told him I opened it because it was addressed to me first so he should get it too. He pulled out the boots asked if we were finally getting a puppy.(he really wants a dog) Once I pointed out there were 2 not 4 he got it and gave me a huge hug and grabbed my stomach and told the baby to be a boy
Wasn't feeling good for about a week. Thought I had the flu. Ended up taking a spare test we had, immediately texted my husband saying CALL ME. after no response for 10 minutes sent him a picture of the BFP. he was at work. Apparently proceeded to go out to the smoke pit and throw up.

Adorable. You might have to get the puppy next Christmas.
I wasn't planning this at all and I had been sick for about a month or so we were down visiting our parents for 2 weeks for Christmas and he went out and bought me tests. None of the family knew I was testing, I just went up and took it. Then I went into shock and came downstairs sobbing hysterically and he instantly knew. My mother in law was very worried so I just took the test and put it on the counter she looked at it and went "oh yea I've known since thanksgiving!" Lol. Then my mom came over and they told me it would all be okay and I calmed down and now I'm happy about it. DH was excited from the very instant he saw the tests.
Soon to be mommy of 3! DS Grayson (3yrs) (Emergency Csec) DS Camden (1yr) (All natural Vbac) DD Isabella due 8/2/2014

My mom claims she knew the whole time too after I told her. She said it was easy to put the pieces together since I hadn't been feeling well for a while.
So for a year I have been holding on to these personalized M&M's that I had made that said "I'm Pregnant" on them. I was going to give them to him as soon as I found out. Well I have PCOS so the process took longer than expected. I found out I was pregnant the Sunday before Christmas. I kept taking the Wondfo pregnancy tests for a week but I guess I wasn't waiting long enough for the results to appear (dumba$$) so I had been disregarding them. Finally I took one and left it out while I did my hair. When I looked down it had two lines (jumping up and down). Finally I could use that damn M&Ms (which were probably stale at this point). My husband and I never had candy in the house so I wouldn't have an excuse to why I was trying to give him these. So I went down stairs and since it was so close to Christmas I said:
Me: Look honey I got your niece and nephew some candy for their Christmas stockings.
DH: (Looks at the M&Ms bag obviously doesn't read it and says) Cool
Me: No, look at the M&Ms I had them made.
DH: (Still doesn't read the M&Ms just looks at them and says) Yeah that's cool
Me: Read the damn M&M's!
DH: Ok, "I'm Pregnant"....Why would you get my niece and nephew M&M's that say I'm pregnant?
Me: Ughhh!!!! I"M pregnant! and then I basically threw the test at him.
Didn't exactly turn out the cutesy little way I was hoping for. But it was really funny afterwards.
We were visiting my parents for Christmas, and I just had a feeling. So we drove to Shopko and bought a test, which I peed on in the bathroom of the store (so classy). When I saw both lines I climbed into the car and showed FI. He was surprised, he thought I was getting my hopes up. We're not that cutesy.
I POAS on a Friday morning when my period was about 5 days late. H didn't know I did; he had a big test that a.m. & I didn't want to distract him.
I got home first and downloaded "What to Expect When You're Expecting" onto my Kindle. When he got home I said "I'm reading something you might be interested in" (we're both big readers & like to recommend stuff to one another, so a totally normal conversation). When he asked what, I showed him the title page. Then he picked up the dog & did a happy dance.
That's cute! H is definitely not a big reader. He would have laughed if I said that! Lol.
I think my dh is still in shock. We came home in sept with our 3 year old from the Philippines. We had tried for two years and put trying on hold when we decided to adopt. We had sex once in October. I had been feeling queasy and he said "you're pregnant!" And we both had a big laugh. Three days later I decided to test and BFP. I took a white tshirt and wrote big sister in sharpie and when he got home he froze when he saw her. It took me 20 minutes to convince him I wasn't kidding. I don't think he will come out of shock til august hahaha.

I found out Christmas Eve morning and was totally surprised to see a positive result. The dr said I had a 1% chance of getting pregnant naturally and had just finished the work up for ivf. When my h got home from work , I gave him a present and told him "this was a present for both of us but I received it early so it's only fair he gets to open it too". He opened it only to find 2 positive test. He was just as shocked as I was.
Our first pregnancy I screamed and said I'M PREGNANT! (This later was a loss for us)
After a year of trying, I took a test while my husband was ice fishing and faintly saw a line...(I was a pro at this time taking ovulation tests by peeing in a cup and testing that way so I did that for this test too)...well it wasn't dark enough for me sooo I wrapped the cup in foil and put it in the fridge and went to get a digital test (which came out positive) then went to the store and got a daddy book, mustache comb, and other mustache themed items because the deal was once I was pregnant he could grow a mustache. When he got home, I had the video camera (secretly) all ready to go, hit record and gave the gift with the tests in it. It was great. (this one was also a loss for us but we have the video still)
With this one, I just knew a week or so before I took the test that i was pregnant, and told him. I was afraid to test because of our history and the fact that I was spotting and never starting my period (I thought maybe this was another loss). Well I took a test, and instantly it was positive, came out of the bathroom and told him "we have a problem". I'm 13w 2days today and of course this was the least romantic ahha
I ran from the bathroom to the balcony and whispered loudly (whispered because the kids and his parents were sleeping in room fairly close) "OMG, it is positive, no f'ing way, it is positive already!" Not as cleaver or cute as I had wanted but I was totally shocked it happened so soon and because it only happened once in my fertile time frame since I was traveling so much in November for work.

We spent the day cleaning the garage while MIL and FIL watched DS in the house. After having dinner, I snuck out to the car to grab a test I realized I left in there and might as well take, even though my period wasn't due yet.
I peed in a paper cup, dipped the stick, all that jazz, and when I looked down and saw 2 lines I was shocked, totally unexpected!
I ran upstairs with it and called DH into our room. I pulled it out and said "Guess what? I'm fucking pregnant!!?!?!?!!!!" He was really excited too, which made me feel even better, bc when I found out we were expecting DS1, his response was "are you sure?"
I took a test when I woke up the morning after Christmas. He was still asleep, so I wrapped it up and stuck it under the tree. I woke him up and told him Santa had forgotten to leave one present, so he came back

It's probably because they were looking forward to months of frenzied TTC sex...
