This is a picture of my engagement ring, we never got pictures of all our rings together at our wedding or anything, so I don't really have a nice picture of my wedding band.
My husband designed my engagement ring on his own. He always said it was the "guys job" to pick the ring and he would never even let me talk about rings in front of him, he wanted to do it all on his own. Funny thing is, I had picked out almost the exact style of ring for myself before he proposed. lol. He knows me too well (and my love of pink).
The center stone is a Canadian diamond, the side stones are pink sapphires.
My wedding band is a replica of this ring from Tiffany, but it's not from Tiffany. We picked the styles for our wedding bands together. My husband's family friend is a jeweler and made both my engagement and wedding ring, as well as my husbands.
One pic is from our wedding, and the other is from right now when I shoved the rings on... Don't mind the redness on my finger.. They are swollen. So I don't wear them anymore.
I wanted a solitaire ring, but my husband said that's too boring so he picked this ring instead. And I love it!! It's my favorite cut which is emerald cut. They are dirty and need to be dipped again, but that can wait.
I'm loving this post! Love the stories! Love the rings! My engagement ring is my great grandmothers. My wedding band is the best we could find to match/compliment the style without custom making something. Please excuse my dry, cracked hands.
I found a rendering of a ring and hubs surprised me and got it custom made! Still wouldn't have asked for anything different and haven't ever seen anything quite like it.
It's so fun to see everyone's rings! Ours are kind of different. I'm allergic to all metal, so I did some looking around and found a maker of wooden rings on Etsy. His portfolio is beautiful. He used to lay hardwood floors and had an accident that damaged his hand pretty badly. So he makes them all one handed, which is amazing. I showed my H his site and he picked out and surprised me with the style. The bands are made of ebony, maple, and an azurite stone inlay. We got married in our backyard, so I plan to send the maker some wood from our land and have him make us rings on our 5 year anniversary, when the traditional gift is wood.
Here's a picture of just the engagement ring and then my husband's on top of mine. I usually wear the engagement and wedding band together. Since my hands are so swollen right now, I just ordered a slightly larger wood ring from Etsy from a different seller. It doesn't quite match, but it was ready to ship and I figure I can wear it on another finger later.
That's so awesome! I've never seen anything like that. Super cool.
This is mine and DH's rings. The center part of mine was my engagement ring and is the match to his. The outside is my wedding band and is fused to the engagement ring. They were his grandma and grandpa's rings. Gold bands with diamond accents and sapphires in the center (my birth stone). I had a pretty special bond with his grandma (even lived with her for a bit after grad school when I still didn't have a job). I'm pretty sure she threw it at his head and said "It's about time!" when he asked her if he could give it to me.
I have two different bands. We had two weddings, a small ceremony and a bigger wedding. DH surprised me with a new band on our "big" wedding day, which was sweet. Of course the wonderful wife I am, I got him nothing. Oops!
Eveyone's rings are so beautiful, and I love the stories behind them! I don't have a great picture of my engagement ring, but it's sweet, simple and lovely white gold with leaves on either side of the diamond. And my wedding ring was my grandmother's wedding ring - yellow gold lattice work set the whole way around with tiny diamonds.
Ignore my fat fingers. I picked this ring out from Kays. I originally only wanted a simple solitaire, but then fell in love with the vintage feel of this ring. Ps love that all of our rings are unique!
He plans on getting me a "better" ring one day. We couldn't and can't afford (since we got pregnant) to get a fancy engagement ring right now but this was his mom's. I forget what it was before it was a ring but her ex husband had it made in to a ring.
My engagement ring- sorry this was the best pics I have of it ATM.
It's a round 2.5ct Sapphire with almost 2cts worth of small diamonds surrounding it, set in 18K white gold. I had it re-sized when I was pregnant with DS1 and now it is too big for me to wear
My wedding ring was my Grandmothers, not her wedding or engagement ring- my aunt turned those into a necklace; but still one of the very few she kept since she had bad arthritis in her hands, and very special to her. It's a unique gold setting with a fairly large single diamond. Best guess is it was made in the 50s or 60s. My aunt gave it to my H after my Grandma passed away and I hope to pass it on to my children one day. Ignore the giant blue ring, it's one I was selling on Etsy. My H has a simple gold band with silver running through it to match.

There are only two lasting bequests we can hope to give our children.
Here's a pic of a pic (no phone pics of my ring)...the pic is a little darker with no flash, but the rings are actually lighter and brighter if that makes sense. Pic is from our wedding.
It's a Tacori and the stones on the sides are pink sapphires...DH had it customized with the pink just for me
@Kendy20, that's my exact set only in white gold! (Sorry, on mobile I can't tell if yours is white gold or yellow gold.) I loove the tulip setting on the side, too!
@luckyu317 It's white gold :-) I went to get it cleaned and the sales person said he had never seen a tulip setting before. Guess they aren't making them anymore. Makes it even more unique :-)
We were walking around the mall one day and passed a jewelry store and I remembered that I'd wanted to pick out a birthstone necklace for my mother since her birthday was coming up. While
I'm checking out the necklaces, he stealthily headed over to the engagement ring section and picked one out. So yeah, long story short, I got proposed to in a Zales.
Because of the ring's design (there's like a band under the ring itself), I can't seem to find a wedding band that I like to go with it. So, even though we're married, I still haven't gotten a wedding band.

This looks really similar to a ring I saw at Tiffany's- I think it's gorgeous.
I'm late, too. I've enjoyed reading all the stories behind the rings. There are so many unique rings are out there! My DH picked the engagement ring out all on his own. The diamonds in the wedding band are from my grandma's wedding rings. She passed right before my DH proposed but knew that he was going to.
The engagement ring is rose gold where the diamonds are and white gold on the sides. The wedding band is all rose gold. I love it. I wanted vintage looking and it's exactly what my husband chose!
Yay, I can participate now! I just got my ring back from WI for it's every 6 month inspection. DH custom designed the ring, and we just found a band that fit. He was pretty excited about it, I told him I didn't even require a diamond. I do love it though!
Love this post and all the rings. Was thinking of resetting my ering after 11 years...a previous poster had an awesome three stone setting. I need a nice cleaning for sure...but Here's mine.
I see that this post has brought out the lurkers of May 14, but really @HeathB85 your one and only reply is to Attention Whore your engagement ring? /:)

I'm a little confused by your comment, but ok. I'm certain I am not the only one who has just posted a picture of their ring? Pretty sure that's the point of this post. I apologize if that offends you, but I frankly don't see the need for you to try to start drama for no reason...

No, dear. You were not the only one to post a picture of their ring. However you have now 2 (two) whole entire responses on the entire TheBump.com community. And you choose:
1) oooo look at my sparkly dinosaur shit 2) Sorry, I cannot compute your logic
Since you don't seem to speak plain English... let's try this. Who the fluff are you? Are you even pregnant? Are you even due in May 2014 if you are pregnant? And WTF did you do, just search TB for the most AWy NBR thread to start your interaction with total strangers?
Clearly the hormones of pregnancy are affecting you ladies severely. Just because I haven't posted anything to any of the other threads doesn't mean that I don't take the time to read them. I don't feel the need to post if I don't have anything to say. I saw this as a fun opportunity to get my feet wet without having to offer an opinion on subjects which I have no opinion on. Perhaps I'll start doing that to appease you. It surprises me that you are so defensive about something so silly as to how often I have put in my two cents...
I choose not to spend my entire day on this forum posting and arguing considering that as a soon to be, May 11th just to verify, I find I have little spare time to argue with women who are obviously bored.
Have a great day! (Oh and way to turn a fun post into a downer)

I know I'm super late to the party, but thought I'd share anyway. All three rings are vintage. DH picked out my engagement ring all by himself and I couldn't have picked a more perfect ring...and I'm really picky!
The rest of my pictures ended up on an external hard drive when my laptop crashed last week so I don't have easy access to them but I do have this one:
I picked out the engagement ring but I'd given DH a few top choices, and the one he ended going with was a surprise when he proposed. He did good, this one was my favourite The band wasn't part of a set, it just worked well with the e-ring. I love them both!

I've always called diamonds dinosaur shit because let's be real, that's what it is, among various other things...
