  • I'm with @calibr8te regarding baby books. I read "Cleo in the Snow" yesterday to LO as we had a snow day and I thought it was the most ridiculous waste of book I've ever read. Dr. Suess - I love. Boynton - some are good, some not so good.

Anyone who has recommendations of some good books that their LO's enjoy, I'd love to hear them!

Whaaaaaat? Do you live in the tropics? I would be a frozen popsicle without socks in bed at night!!!!eleven1!!!!!!!!

Edit : wear. And nope, Maryland. I also can't sleep without one leg out of the sheets. My legs and digits get claustrophobic .

  • I miss Taco Hell's Chili Cheese Burritos. They were so good! I haven't seen the new heavy trend y'all are referring to. My UO (at least to DH and his fam and other country folk): I don't understand how anyone could be happy living in BFE. It's one thing if you live on the outskirts of a town that has a mall, Starbucks, decent grocery stores, etc. that you could get to fairly quickly. But I don't get why anyone would purposefully live so far away from civilization and only have access to shitty fast food restaurants, crappy grocery stores, and a pharmacy here and there. I mean...why would anyone want to live somewhere where you can't even have an effing pizza delivered or go to a movie at a movie theater without having to drive over an hour away?!?!? There is so much more to this world, and I truly don't understand why people purposefully shelter themselves in this way. #ihatewhereilive #charlestonianforlyfe #holdme
We live in BFE on purpose. There is one fast food restaurant in our town, one crappy grocery store, 3 gas stations respectively, and the best pharmacy ever. A lot of people here raise cattle. We raise goats. I like being secluded, I don't have to deal with traffic, I have one neighbor I can see from my house (wish it was zero), it takes an hour to go to town and get all my groceries etc I don't mind I spend less. There is not much for entertainment, but we like to cook out, go fishing, walk in the woods, and we love on a lake so most of our entertainment is free. I've lived in cities and towns and didn't like the cramped together feeling, it's not for me but that's ok plenty of people like it. I'd rather live here with my goats, chickens, and big ass garden.
@gatorsgirl731 - Someday I want to raise Boer goats.  I feel like you do about living in BFE.  Someday we'll get out of the Caribbean.

Ew me too! If I do end up falling asleep with them on I will somehow take them off in my sleep and they end up in my sheets. I live in Utah and it's freezing here. Socks are not for sleeping.

I LOVE the colour and my brother always blames my mom for giving me a yellow nursery as a baby.

I love yellow too.  All shades of it.  I am drawn to yellow clothes when I shop, but I have been told be several people that I pull off the color well.  So unless they are all liars, I think I am ok.

I don't hate yellow! My baby has a yellow nursery as well. (And red and turquiose) My living room has pops of yellow. I even have a yellow entertainment stand. I just think it looks awful on most people.

Yellow is good in design. :)

Love your tv stand!  But do you keep those frames up all the time?  It would drive my OCD brain crazy to not see the bottom corner of the TV.

I just put it there for valentines but it doesn't bother me at all. I just turn the tv on for background noise. I'm never looking at it!

I mean...somebody has to feed the world, amiright? Can't farm in the city.
Actually, you can. There's a continent doing it: Europe. And we still waste shit loads of food (overproduction) through subsidies and we export foods.

It's a little rubber cup that you shove inside you to harvest your blood. You have to empty it. I cloth diaper but the diva cup is just too much hipster Eco friendly crunch for me.

I'm rolling my eyes at you so hard right now, @ntrick. You can't see me, but I am. :) Of course you can farm some things in the city. Other things that are raised on farm require decidedly more space, horses for example. Also, I would wager that the poplulation density in Europe requires a bit more outside-the-box thinking, thus more innovation in urban farming. But sure, we can add that to the list of shit Europe does better/more efficiently than the US, a point you'll never hear me arguing with. :)

I would never live in BFE somewhere. I told my husband if he gets into med school in Omaha that me and Jude will not be going with him. (I've heard since that Omaha is not really THAT small.. But still. No.)

For cereal? You would really not move with him?
I mean.. I would! I just wanted to be dramatic.

Ok, I figured as much, but then I was like...

I tell my husband all the time that if he gets stationed at certain locations, I'm not going.

My brother and sister-in-law live in Korea. It's not so bad. But seriously.. Don't go.

I just heard on talk radio South Koreans drink the most shots per week. Apx. 14/week.

My UO/popular: we must invoke "it's 5 o'clock somewhere" rule ASAP to beat S. Koreans in drinking. MERICA!

@quartermisses: fruits=sugar=fat=fat people with diabetes. Juices, yogurts, fruits (especially bananas...drink!) FULL of sugar. Some fruits are good because they have fiber, but they are full of sugar and if said person is obese and cannot move...this equals more fat.

I can get on-board with veggies and apples in a blender, but #aintnobodygottimeforthat and convenience is huge!

I dare you to try a low carb...lean meats, veggies and protein shake diet for 2 weeks. Dared. Accept the challenge?

I hate people who take pictures of their kids in just diapers. Especially when said diaper is so full it's sagging. Dress yo kid!

Agree!! Especially when it's a pamper with a bright green line going down the center of the poor kids diaper. If you MUST take a picture of your kid in a diaper at least change it first!!!
Yes!! A girl on my Facebook entered her daughter in a "modeling contest" online and the picture is cute, but she's in a disposable and the first thing I noticed was the blue line and said the same thing...c'mon, at least change her!
