  • Here goes nothing: I confess that I don't wash my hands after I pee unless I actually get pee on my hands. Or sometimes if someone else is standing right there in the bathroom and I don't want to be judged. I know, I know... I'm gross! Flame away!

And no, I do not work with @tondraluv (as far as I know)!
    Why?

    Same!
  • i got really mad at Rylee last night. Her sleeping pattern is getting worse. Not sure if she is teething or what but I cant deal with the lack of sleep. Last night i lost it and i kind of yelled at her a bit :/ i feel horrible thinking about it but i was half asleep and my mind was not functioning well. I really hope she passes this phase soon cause momma needs her rest.

    HAHAH , I wont judge (pissyhands #2)

before Rylee was born i used to do the same. and sometimes when im home i wont wash them every single time. that being said since becoming a mom i am more aware of germs than before.

Honestly, the doorknobs getting out of the bathroom and out of the teacher workroom are probably so dirty that washing my hands seems pointless. I didn't get anything on them. And I sprint to the bathroom between class changes so I don't have a lot of time. I guess I just don't feel like my hands are that dirty. Or they are, but it's from being a teacher, not from using the restroom. And now in the winter, it makes my hands dry to wash them too much... and I already have to wash/sanitize them every time I pump.

I considered selling my son on the black market this week - just kidding! ( sort of) No, my real confession is that I'm not really concerned about privacy issues. I can't fathom why anyone would want to go to any effort to find me based on my internet postings and I honestly don't care if the government wants to listen to my phone calls or read my email or texts.
Me either!  Some people get so fired up about this.  I could care less.  If it helps them find terrorists or whatever then they can have at it.  It doesn't hurt me in any way.
I couldn't care less about this either.  If you want to learn all about my baby's poop habits, my complaints about my husband, my thoughts on the last episode of Sister Wives, my bitching about my job, and all the bills I pay, knock yourself out.

I do understand the theory behind the concern though --that it is a slippery slope and what are they going to monitor next..

I just don't really care.  Can't care.  Too much other stuff to worry about.

  • Agh - wash your hands, women! You're grossing me out over here! :) I wash my hands mostly to get everyone else's nasty bathroom germs off of them! I open the door with my shirt on my way out. I get sick enough working at a K-12 school.

My confession: I am already planning a mental health day for next week. I've directed a play the entire month, getting up at 5:30 a.m. for practices, and tomorrow I have to get up at 4:30 a.m, ride a bus for four hours total, and spend 14 hours with my students. I love them, but come on. I also have horrible back cramps, (but no period, what's up with that?) so I feel more justified in staying home for a day. Oh, and DS will definitely be going to daycare.
I'm sitting on my sofa in yoga pants, no bra, just ate a Totino's party pizza, LO is at daycare, DH is at work, and I've got two laptops, my phone, and an iPad open in front of me, and I'm watching ExtremeCouponing.

My PLAN? Get J off to daycare, grocery shop, errands, hit the gym, get nails done, fix a nice dinner.  Um, no.

    GO FOR IT.

  • I confess, I cried watching Sundays episode of KUWTK. Watching Khloe walk into her home and just looking so numb. And then, them showing the clips of when Khloe and Lamar were all in love and so romantic and the spark was there. I couldn't help it but shed a few tears. I can't imagine.

Mine - I am astounded at the number of moms on this board still breastfeeding. This is not a bad thing, I just can't even imagine putting LO to my boob to eat anymore (I stopped at 6 months)..... or just bringing my pump to work.... Kudos to you all for sticking with it - for me it's just like a different world.

My confession is somewhat related to this. I'm still breastfeeding, but started taking Domperidone around 6 months when my supply nose-dived out of nowhere. It's expensive, and you have to order it from overseas. My husband was skeptical, and said "Ok, you can buy it ONCE, and if things don't work out after that's gone, then just let nature take it's course".

I ran out of the Dom last week. And my supply tanked. And I ordered more, even though my daughter is almost 9 months old, I plan on weaning at 12 months, and I have a shit ton of milk in the deep freeze. WHY AM I SUCH A FREAK ABOUT THIS.

For the record, my husband does not usually monitor my purchases, or care what I buy. We even have seperate accounts. But I ran this purchase by him since it involved our daughter. And now I'm the sneaky B crossing my fingers that it's delivered to my house on a day he's not there.

I am the same way! I don't have a ton of milk in the freezer, only 50 oz, but I am completely freaked out about stopping breastfeeding. It makes me so sad and anxious. I still go out of my way to pump extra milk every day to put in the freezer, even though I honestly don't need to build my freezer stash anymore at this point... he gets plenty from nursing and I plan to day-wean at 12 months (still nursing morning and/or night).

You ladies make me laugh but you are all nothing like "Pissy hands",unless you go stealing peoples snacks with those hands  >:P.

It's a mix of things but the main reason is because my mom is abusing again & every time we have an event coming up (i.e my wedding, the baby shower, and now Brayden's party), she tends to get worse. For example, her landlord found her walking around naked WTF.  I had already cut her out my life about two months ago but now she's reaching out to my family & playing victim. With that said, they are all making me feel like i'm doing something wrong in not being supportive of her.

As someone who can relate to the abusing thing, I am truly sorry you are going through this. You're a strong person and do not need to be pulled down and backwards with that type of thing. I know it is hard when everyone around makes you feel ashamed for wanting to get past that.. but just remember you are doing a great job!

  • I always wash my hands when I am out in public. Sometimes I don't when I'm at home though. Between doing dishes throughout the day, taking my DS into the bathroom so he can go and me going its far too much- my hands look and feel like a old woman's. If I know the bathroom has been cleaned recently and we haven't had anyone who doesn't live here use it I will sometimes skip it when I pee. I am also the one who confessed a while ago that I dont sit on my toilet seats at home to pee...

I hope he is supportive of your desire to continue BFing. I feel like that is something you should be open about, not hiding. I don't think taking Dom is an over the top measure. I took it, though I was having a very different experience. I ordered mine from Canada.
  • I always wash my hands no matter what but I probably change my sheets seasonally lol. I guess we didn't do the changing of the sheets often growing up so it doesn't occur to me to do that every week.

I almost wrecked into a 'road closed' sign and barrels this morning. Lol I'm ok. They have been working on the highway by my house for years and for the last year I have lived here the right half of the road has been closed off and we drive far on the left. Last week they switched it and I was spacing out, staring at the light. It turned green and I started turning how I always turn. Lol. Slammed on my breaks. I'm very lucky the people around me were nice. The person behind me let me back up and go. Feel like such an idiot.

Oh, he is very pro-breastfeeding. He is just not that happy about me taking meds to do it, or the cost of those meds :)   He would never say "NO, you can't take it"...if he did, I wouldn't listen

Me too,but that's because James WILL NOT let me at his face with a wipe!  And if I get in there, it is so fast or he screams and twists and turns and pulls away, and he's STRONG and fast! I hate it!  I wish I could teach him to blow his nose!

  • This has to be flame worthy:  I think I have pink eye and I came to work anyway because I want to save my sick days for when my son has his billionth ear infection.  I am justifying this because I am using his old eye drops from when he had pink eye.
I had pink eye a few weeks ago and actually took off work to go to the doctor. He told me that pink eye is not something that they keep people out of work for, so I could go back to work right away (yay.....) But he said that i should avoid touching my face and wash my hands a lot (ironic, heh).
