I too have my a/s today at 10 central time. And also cannot sleep. I also have to go grocery shopping so I can't even lay around and snack while everyone else sleeps.
A/s at 12:10 EST and I'm so anxious. And they're making me drink an abnoxious amount of water so they better hope I don't have to sneeze in the waiting room because I just might pee my pants.
And it's also my moms birthday and she wants to know if she's having a granddaughter or grandson so baby better cooperate!
I have my first (and hopefully only) ultrasound today at 3:15pm EST with follow up afterwards. I am a little freaked out since with DS I bawled in the car on the way home from our ultrasound. Everything turned out to be fine with his brain in the end but I am afraid of scary news again. We are supposed to get a couple inches of snow today so I am hoping it holds off so I don't have drive across town in poor weather with a ridiculously full bladder. To add to the stress-fest the inspection on our house is today so I am hoping that appointment goes well too so we can get it sold and have that huge weight off me. Basically my anxiety issues will be in overdrive today and I will be a crazy person.
Just a regular ob appt today after work. Still excited to hear a heartbeat!! (and talk to ob about the massive number of Braxton hicks I've been having....seriously 10 time more than I had with dd by this point....I'm sure it's all normal though) Enjoy seeing you babes if your having an ultrasound today!
More importantly, it has the right number of everything, a strong beating heart, has lost its pteryodactl beak from the dating ultrasound and in all other ways looks on track and healthy.
After being so worried yesterday, we were so relieved today. Hope everyone else has equally happy news to share today.

So happy to hear that, Luna C!!! (I LOL'd reading this - I forgot about the pteryodactl beak! I'm sure he's a handsome little man!)
He has the CUTEST little button nose. It's perfect. Everything looked perfect. We were so elated. (I even said at one point, "He has such a cute little face," and he turned and looked right at us/the screen. The tech even said, "I think he jsut asked, 'You talking to me?' ")
I'm actually thankful for the anterior placenta -- he was moving and kicking SO much. (I actually witnessed a few swift kicks to my tummy onscreen that I couldn't feel.) He looks like a future karate master in there.
The only "bad" news we have is that the crib/bed we loved is probably too frilly for a boy to use and I have to at least temporarily say goodbye to all the gorgeous girl names I was looking at. We are having a rough time with boys' names. I can hardly complain though.
I have my a/s today at 9:45 PST. I cant wait to see if my doctor was playing with me last week at my regular checkup. He used the handheld us machine and at the end of the appointment he said i think this baby has outdoor plumbing. I asked if he saw something and he just smiled and said i have 50% chance of being right. He also did this in front of my mom knowing she was having a reveal cake on Saturday and there hasnt been a girl born on that side of the family in 17 years. Of course I will be happy with either and just want to hear I have a healthy baby!
Good luck everyone!
@secondtimeinMSU good luck! FX that everything today goes smoothly! Also, I heard from Carolyn that your DS is singing the fight song DD really picked it up this past weekend and now pretty much has the whole thing down pat, haha! I had to act all stealthy like I didn't "know" you or when you were due...didn't want to come out as a creepy internet stalker
@mullenem I am a little concerned about his loyalty to MSU though since last night he was demanding his giraffe so I told him he needed to swap me for someone else (he already had a lot of "friends" in bed) and he handed over his Sparty. Poor Sparty =(. It is crazy how much DH has still kept in touch with his old work but he always did like the people and the job just not the pay. I did hear they are having some new titles and pay rankings system or something so maybe they are going to work on advancing people more in the future.
It is so good to hear everyone else is just as nervous as I am! What a relief I thought I was being a crazy paranoid FTM. A/S today at 3:00 excited to see baby boy and thankful DH will be there with me. Good luck everyone!!!

Had my A/S at 8AM EST. Everything looks great, measuring exactly to the sate. Moving like crazy - at one point while the US tech was looking at the legs, baby did a crazy double leg kick that made both the tech and me jump!
@mullenem I totally understand where you are coming from. If you ever eventually do decide to venture out into DH's new neck of the woods let me know. It wasn't a huge initial jump but you can see laid out for you how much you really move up in just a few years. DH isn't terribly well connected since he is pretty shy but he is well liked if it is a lab close to his.
@bebemac I totally agree. The water torture begins in less than a half an hour and I feel like I am going to be sick. I am shamelessly using the bump to distract myself as much as possible.
Had my a/s. Baby is breeched with its butt on the corner of my uterus so there was not much room for baby to move it's legs open. That being said the tech had a decent enough shot to positively say she believes it is a girl. I might have to go back because in the position she was in made it difficult to see a few organs, but spine, skull and heart all look great! Yay for cute button noses @LunaC mine is so cute I just want to kiss it!
So until baby proves to be a boy (which could be at birth or not at all) I will say we're most likely having a girl!
Hi all! Just back from my OB checkup. Not a whole lot to report, which is good enough for me at this point. I'll take boring any day! Second ultrasound is coming up next Tuesday, so DH and I are looking forward to another chance to see the kiddos.
Glad to hear everyone's appointments so far have been going well--good luck to everyone still waiting. Can't wait to hear how they go!
My A/S went great! I couldn't have been team green even if I wanted to be, baby BOY was flashing himself everywhere. Everything came back normal so far and I now know why I have been in pain for the last week. He is literally doing a head stand and has his head wedged in against my bladder. At one point the tech asked me to and go and empty my bladder to see if she could get him to move and I came back with a half full bladder since he is blocking it oh so nicely. This isn't to say that he is not an active baby since he was busy moving all over just not doing any flips but more jabs and jerks and rolling from one side to the other.
Good luck to the rest of the ladies still waiting!

@MNOpea I can't sleep, either.
