I was going to tell my sister in law (who's due in Feburary) about that thread because I found the October thread so helpful but when I read how they tried to chase @AmyG* away, I was disgusted! Those poor girls have no idea what a valuable resource she could have been. It's totally their loss!

WTF is their problem?? AmyG and a couple others on our board, crunchymama and kimbo included were keys to me being successful at BFing. When I started to doubt myself I would read their advice and be reassured everything I was doing was correct or I was able to troubleshoot.

She's trying to HELP not be a know it all. Some seem to have sticks up their asses.

They think they know it all because some have nursed before but every baby is different and what worked for one may not work for another. And, after so many of their own asked questions and needed help why didn't the haters stop commenting and just stay out of the thread? She was obviously helping a lot of women on their board.

Amy is too damn nice not to give them advice, too. That's what's sad. This is just really irking me. It may seem a little creepy that an older lady wants to help new Moms nurse, but not after you've nursed and become passionate about it and know how hard it is.
