All the engagement rings look beautiful! We're not getting married until sometime after 2016 (when we're closer to family), so my experience with this kind of stuff is limited. And TBH I didn't really look at people's rings until now - wouldn't be able to tell you which ring goes on which hand without a quick google consult.
Do you ladies wear your engagement rings all the time? Because I know myself and those kinds of settings would just beg for me to knock them against stuff/get caught in stuff/etc. Or did you wear the engagement rings until you got married and then they wandered into the jewelry box?

I have no idea on the cut, clarity, carats, etc of my ring. But I do know that the diamond is flush with the mount, so it doesn't get caught on anything. It makes the diamond less prominent, but my life significantly easier.
@amparo1981- I wear it most of the time. I don't wear it if I'm doing something that might knock it around. I actually have a "stunt double" plain white gold wedding band that I wear a lot. I like wearing a ring but I don't always want to wear the big set.
my rings are also soldered together so I can't just wear the band.
@amparo1981, I wear mine all the time. I used to only wear my wedding bands on occasion but our house got broken into once. I had luckily worn it that day, because if it had been stolen no amount of money could ever replace it. Most of my friends wear their engagement rings all the time, too. My sister in law wears hers on her right hand and her wedding ring on her left, which I think is kind of neat.
@amparo1981 I wear my set all the time, even in the shower. The only time I take it off is when I'm doing something that could harm it (pottery) or if we're going somewhere that I might be mugged for it (which is almost never).
My set came with a replacement warrany. As long as I get the settings checked every 6mo, if I lose a diamond, they will replace it for free. You get used to the bulk of the ring pretty quickly.
@Lelo2006 That ring is absolutely beautiful. It's so unique. You'd never be able to find something like that now.
Thank you so much! I had wanted a simple solitaire and had told him a while before he proposed. Apparently his whole family was worrying that I wouldn't like it because it's obviously the opposite of simple. I couldn't love it more. It's incredible that they want me to have such a special family heirloom. James will get it someday to propose to his future wife . And I'll get a new monster ring .
I had mine soldered before the wedding. I wore it all the time until I couldnt during pregnancy. I did remove it for showering, messy projects, and etc. Then I had to get it sized up a little before I could wear it again. Wore it all the time until pregnancy made it impossible again. And now I think I will have to get it resized again. I was working in daycare when I got engaged so I told DH whatever he picked I wanted more of a low profile so I wouldnt hurt the kids. I actually had the situation of DH thinking the stone/setting wasnt big enough.
Love these! My is small but very unique. I always wanted a solitaire, but with a twist, literally it turned out. I told DH that if it were bigger than 1/2c I would sell it haha. I just didn't want a gaudy ring and as I have tiny hands it didn't take much to look gaudy. I just couldn't wear a big ring every day. I love my ring more than any possession I own.
I love my ring. I picked out the setting. I thought I lost it a couple of years ago. My husband was like "we have insurance" but I was really upset. I found it a month later stuck in the carpet underneath my son's dresser.
@emandia do we have the same rings?! Did you see mine? They look a lot a like! Small, simple and very sparkly!
@amparo1981 I had mine soddered together and I always wear it. Only took it off when pregnant cause it didnt fit with my bloated fingers..but mine is smaller. It doesnt really catch on anything.

Proposed on Easter by filing a bunch of Easter eggs with jelly beans and one with my ring. I am sucker for jelly beans so I start eating away... And then I opened the one with my ring! Nails are done bc I decided getting my nails done was more important than eating lunch !
@amparo1981 - I wear my engagement ring and wedding band everyday but take it off when I sleep or shower. Also if I'm cooking something that involves sticking my hands in it, I'll take it off.
I wear my ring whenever I leave the house, but I don't wear any jewelry inside. As soon as I walk in the door I take all the jewelry off and hop into my pajamas.
We have insurance on my ring and it's replaceable so I don't overly worry about losing it. Also, the way it's set makes it easy to wear, doesn't snag or scratch anything.
@ashie624 -- Hey I think we do have the same ring! I didn't even notice that the first time through. I was on my iphone earlier and could barely see them. Too funny! Love it!
I wear mine all the time and we also have insurance on it as well. Eventually I will get a top band...it was custom designed by my husband and the jeweler.
Re: s/o Proposals...Lets see the rings :)
Never mind, found it in the other thread. How many strands is yours?
