Is there something on the TB that really grinds your gears? Is it a certain acronym? An overused gif? An eye rolling newb question? Grammarz? Do tell!

It drives me crazy when someone posts, "I'm pregnant but GOSH I'm so surprised because we weren't even trying!"

OH MY GOD GIRL. Unprotected sex can get your pregnant. You don't have to literally say outloud, "Honey...let's try to get pregnant once we commence this sex."

I don't know why it bothers me so much. It just sounds silly.

Have any of you tried this? Was it accurate?

Every time someone mentions having a "gender reveal party" I want to shake them and say

NOBODY CARES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know no one IRL who has had one so this is a Bump related phenomenon to me.

People who post asking for advice or venting, get negative feedback & then get really upset about it.

Listen folks, it's a public forum. If you don't want feedback, don't post it because not everyone will agree with you or like your baby name.

Bottom line: Do not ask questions you do not want honest answers to!

I'll join the hating on the gender reveal parties. The only way I can support this kind of party is if the parent's are really socially unaware and send out invitations that read sex party. Then it would be worth a good laugh. I wonder how people would come dressed?

This bothers me too. I think it's really insensitive to make a comment like that when so many people suffer from infertility.

This! I roll my eyes every time I see a post asking about the gender determination test that they sell or any other form of determining gender, not sex, but gender.

My biggest bump pet peeve to date is the suggestion to include ticker warnings on the loss board and the ttcal board. I never felt welcome on those boards because I have two healthy living children. I understand it is meant to protect people who might be sensitive to being exposed to children but really? Do they live in a bubble where they can actually pretend other children don't exist? Just because I have living children doesn't mean that I wasn't just as hurt by the loss of my angels and having to hide the fact that I had children or warn people seemed down right offensive. Rant over.

This is a bitch to myself. I hate that I knowingly open a "baby name" thread and will have an eye twitching reaction to it. I seriously can not understand why people want to name their child such ridiculous names. I think if you have to ask an opinion on a public forum to name your child, there's your sign!!

For sensitive/political/controversial topics I hate it when people get offended when others don't share their personal views...then go on long tirades and multiple post trying to convert others to their way of thought and why they are wrong. Make your point and then move on but don't dwell...it truly isn't worth your time and frustration because the likelihood of you changing their mind on internet forum is slim to none.

I know this is stupid but it really bothers me when people use "andplusalso." I cringe every time I read it. All three of those words are fine as stand alone words. No need to mash them all together.

I really can't stand drive-by "take my side" posts. If you aren't participating and supporting other people on this board, then please don't post about whatever current issue with your mom/MIL/BF/DH you're having in the hopes that we will all tell you that you are right. Chances are, you're not going to get the response you want - and that's because you're a lot like you are here IRL, not interested in other people's thoughts/ideas/opinions/issues and only concerned with yourself.

Heh, I definitely had my momentary guilty conscience too on this. I've mentioned our deal- not about it being easy trying, heck, we tried over 2 years with no luck, but that I went on birth control, was on it like I should have and followed directions, and THEN got pregnant as a huge surprise. So, guilt-fest over over here. :-)

For me, bad grammar. I have to correct my student's grammar on discussion boards all the time, it's not much to ask for a little basic proofreading. I'm not asking for flawless dissertations, but it really needs to be intelligible if you want me to even consider reading through it. Rant done. :-)

Go to the "need siggy help" stickied on the first page. It's different now. You need to be changing it through the little head icon at the top right of the page.

Seriously though. I get a tad annoyed when people post "new here" and then never post again. Why bother? I feel bad but I rarely respond to those anymore.
