Girl is Lyla Claire. Boy is Mason Joseph. Lyla because I wanted an L name for a girl because I have always been obsessed with my capital cursive L. Mason is my DH's grandfather's name and Joseph is my dad's middle name.
DD's mn is Lyla for that same reason! I liked writing it when I was pregnant.
If DH was naming, it would be Ian Joseph for a boy or Reagan Claire for a girl.
I'm liking John-Paul Joseph for a boy (Joseph will be the middle name for boy 1, no matter what) and some combination of Bethany, Claire, Grace, and Miriam.
We have a nickname we are calling the baby until we know its gender: Bosh. Our last name begins with "S," so it stands for Baby of S* Household. Bosh is doing great so far.
For a girl I like Charlotte Louise or Lillian Lynn (Both go well with our last name.)
As for boys, we're lost. It's been difficult to find names that are unique w/o trying too hard. We're considering Graham or Victor.
My little man is Graham!!!!!!!!! Good choice ! I love that it's classic, not made up but yet not that common! Where we are anyways!
My husband and I are both J names, and years ago we decided when we had kids we would do the whole corny J name family thing. For a boy we are already settled on Jaden. Girl's names are a hot topic. I liked Jocelyn and he shot me down. I haven't yet approached with Jillian or Jordyn yet for fear of rejection
If I had baby today, baby wouldn't be named for days! Ha!
We spent SUCH deliberation over LO#2, and we didn't find out the sex until birth, so we finally came up with TWO perfect names. We ended up using our girl name, Providence Louisa, and didn't use our boy name, Abraham Koert (Koert is a Dutch family name). Now, I'm not feeling Abraham Koert so much. Isn't that weird?
I'm thinking I'd like to use place names this time. Our oldest is Ruth Seraphina, #2 is Providence Louisa, and I'm liking the names Bethlehem (girl) and Zion (boy) this time. We sort of have a biblical theme going with names, but one is an actual "name," one is an ideal/virtue, so we may do a place this time. No ideas on middles yet.
(I know- we choose the weirdest names. Roll your eyes- it's not the first time I've seen it! I just can't stand trendy, cute-sy names, and I totally abhor the Southern girl double-names. My name is really common, and I always wished I had a "different" name.)
I actually totally can picture you with another daughter named India Rose.
We love Katelyn Ruby for a girl. Ruby was my Mommaw's name.
For the boy, nothing. I love Malachi, Chi for short but the husband says no. We shall see...
If we have boys we will be naming one twin Nicholas. We were pretty set on naming one baby Nico, but then we thought that Nico would be great for when he was a baby but not when he was a teenager and adult, so we decided on Nicholas and We'll nickname him Nico, . That's all we've agreed on for now...
Being that this is LO#4, DH and I have a list, but it's really difficult to make a name you've passed over feel "fresh." We might be starting from scratch, even though I do still love Asher for boy [and secretly a girl, although I despise unisex names!]
honest opinion: is Max and Maddox weird together? I love both the names, my DS is named Max. Just not sure if they go together or are strange together.
....and as you can see I swear I am having another boy. Haven't even thought about girl names but I will have to because we aren't finding out!
In my mind, those names seem way too close. I'm sorry!
Don't be sorry! I wanted your opinion, that's what I think but DH says he likes them together so we are not agreeing. Hopefully a few more people will chime in!!
Me and DH can't agree on anything! He won't give me any ideas but quickly shoots down all of mine! My top names have gotten shot down but I'm going to keep pushing them! Boy: Timothy Hagan (Timothy is DH and FIL's first name - Hagan is a family last name on my side) Girl: Lainey Marie (After both of my grandmothers!)
Naming our daughter was
easy, because we just gave her my grandmother's name. This baby is going to be
impossible, because DH all of a sudden has opinions about what we should name
these kids. Like, excuse you, but I've been planning this since I was 14.
What makes you think you get a say now? :P
We just know that if it
is a girl, the middle name will be Dawn, after his mom. Right now I
really like Amelia, Cecelia, or Felicity. Boy names we have nothing.
NOTHING. We don't want it to be too trendy, and we'd like it to
have the same 'feel' as DD's name. We probably won't even start arguing discussing
names until we know the gender to make it easier.
My mom's middle name is Dawn and will be the middle name of our LO if a girl too! I LOVE Amelia Dawn! Has a beautiful ring to it!
We are Jewish and naming for my grandfather, so the first name will be a B. Also, my in-laws both have A middle names, named both of their children with A middle names, and I have an A middle name, so my husband wants to continue that tradition.
I love so many of these names I lost track of who I wanted to reply to! Seriously some good names people. We have a girl's name set that we don't want to share with anyone, even the internet, but we are completely stuck on boy's names. We like:
Declan (I've loved this name since high school, but it's becoming so popular, we're on the fence now)
Henry
Nathaniel
Owen
Cael (or Kale? I can't decide which spelling is better (or worse!))
Jack
Coen
Hugh
Bowen
Noah

We really like Killian Michael for a boy or Seamus Michael. For a girl we really like Delaney Marie or Delaney Grace. McKinley or Paisley are close seconds
We haven't discussed names at all, but this is what I like.
Girl - Amelia, Adeline, Genevieve, Elinor/Elenore (possible nickname Norrie after my great-grandmother). Middle name - maybe Elaine after DH's mom
Boy - DH is a junior but I'm not too into the idea of a "III", or his name as a name in general. I like Owen (my dad's middle name), Benjamin. Maybe we can still use DH's middle name (Lewis).
I'm kinda concerned about coming up with a name where the initials spell something weird - our last name starts with W so it's a definite possibility.
@tigger99 I have loved Harper for many many many years. Finally Im having a baby. Ive noticed that it is getting more popular, and I dont care. Kind of irriates me, but still going with it!.
Girl: Charlotte Rebecca Boy: Minot Pierce (nicknamed Mitt)
Charlotte is his favorite aunt (deceased) and Rebecca is my mother. His grandfather was Minot Pierce and he's been sold on the name for 10 years. Last night he said he didn't think he wanted that name anymore. So...boy name is now up for lots and lots of discussion.
Girl options: Charlotte, Elizabeth, Rose, Violet
Boy: William John ( after our grandfathers)

Purely out of curiosity, where did you come across the name Bowen?
My favorites right now are Sawyer for a biy and Kylah for a girl.
At this point the name will be 'boy' or 'girl'. We know a billion people (my H is a social butterfly who is still friends with everyone he has every made friend with). It makes choosing a unique name hard. That being said, I am about to not give a fucking and if our kid has the same or similar name as a friend or family member or their kid, oh well.
We have a Sawyer! Love its classic-ness and its uncommon but not wierd. We get lots of compliments!
Every man in my husbands family is named Robert (they all go by their middle names), I really don't like the name Robert, but it means a lot to him. We both like Declan (we both have a lot of Irish in our families) and that's what he would be called.
Re: Let's talk names! If you had your baby today...
Boy: Samuel Aldean (Dean)
Yes, Aldean is a famous country singer's surname. It's also a mix of both of our grandmothers names that are too old fashioned for our tastes.
Girl: Raegan Lynn
(middle names are same as ours)
If this baby is a girl she will be Sadie Marie.
If this baby is a boy he will be- Nolan, Ethan, Cole, or Landon. Middle name will either be Christopher or Ross.
I'm liking John-Paul Joseph for a boy (Joseph will be the middle name for boy 1, no matter what) and some combination of Bethany, Claire, Grace, and Miriam.
I'm gonna side with Chad on this one.. haha
