ETA - I just remembered that we had finished watching the dvd of Finding Nemo, and it was stuck on the dvd menu which kept repeating "Just keep swimming, just keep swimming, swimming, swimming...." It was kind of an inside joke for us afterwards that we used as a code word for having sex!

ditto, but I was 24. He was also clingy, and I was very, well, I was dating you for fun, and was just too old to be a virgin anymore. I met my now husband the day we broke up.

I was 20yrs and 2 months. I was tired of being "Sandra Dee". Seven months and 4 lovers later I started dating DH, whom I had been friends with that whole time but never saw for apples until then.

I kinda wish that I had held out because I wasn't in love with the first, I had been in love with the second but he had already broken my heart and the other two were out if boredom. I actually kind of feel weird when I get in these conversations because most people talk about what a letdown their first time was (and grateful that sex got better) I remember it hurt at first, but I orgasmed my first time and DH lasted REALLY long (apparently he was nervous so it helped). I actually remember I got a yeast infection the weekend before the wedding. When I went to the doc I asked if I'd be "good to go" the following weekend. He said to get some OTC stuff and not to worry that I might not be able to because it's "just one night and doesn't matter."

I explained I was one of those girls that dreamed of waiting until my wedding night and both my husband and I saved ourselves for that moment (we're both romantics). The nurses in the room actually cried a little (it was weird) and he wrote me a prescription and told me a bunch of home remedies to try as well. Thank God it was cleared up by then!

That is so special! I just think it's so extremely romantic that you both saved yourselves for each other. Love this!

17. I would have lost it at 16 we were both drunk and the guy I was hooking up with got whiskey dick (I know... super romantic, right?!)

I had this crazy notion in my head that I wanted to have been high, drunk and had sex by the time I went to college so I would know how to handle myself and not be taken advantage of. I wanted to be prepared. In the end I partied so much in one summer of HS that I was over it by college and ended up a pretty tame, home-body nerd.

The summer after junior year in HS though I realized I had one year left and if I wanted to lose it to someone who wouldn't be drunk or an asshole I better get serious.

I ended up dating a guy in his twenties who worked at the same restaurant as me. He was into me way more than I was into him but it felt good for a little while to be 'loved' that much. He was very sweet and patient with me physically, but was emotionally needy and suffocating. He was a good first, although the relationship in general was not great.

Unfortunately, I remember him most for being someone who said "I love you" first, and being the only person to whom I said "I love you too" without meaning it...

ETA: I wanted to add that it didn't hurt. He was a bit long so any pain with him was from being cervix punched...
