We're renovating our kitchen (as one does in the third trimester) which means we have a makeshift kitchen in our living room. I hate the area rug in our living room that my MIL gave us and have been trying to get rid of it. My husband will not hear of it because he thinks it's the greatest rug in the entire world.
This morning after he left for work I "accidentally" spilled my coffee all over it. I'm sitting here patiently waiting for the stain to set in.
The sweet tooth that I didn't have when I was pregnant is here full force now! I ate cheesecake at like 10:00 last night. I justify it because I don't want Maizey to have skim milk!;)
I dropped a box of Captain Crunch this morning and it spilled all over the floor. I cried. Then I made our dog clean it up because it hurts too much to bend down. Lazy party of 1.
I am taking full advantage of my sistee this pregnancy. She is a RN student and so far this pregnancy she has checked my bp amd sugar a million times when i was having problems. This semester she is doing her Pedi/OB rounds and we have been having fun with her practicing belly mapping and other fun things that come with pregnancy.
She learns, i don't freak out unless needed...everyone wins.
It's so sloooow today. Don't you guys know I have a busy day at work and need things to distract me?
I have another. I bump stalk a poster I know from the past. Her current board thinks she's awesome and stroke her ego, but I know what she's really about. I have been tempted to PM crazies on her board, but I keep my urges to myself.
Oh one more. This is how it is here. And i am totally taking advantage of it. Except i stead of school, i am not doing anything today. Not even getting out of my pajamas. Not guilty at all.
My baby shower is tomorrow (from my Dad's side of the family) and so I looked on my registry and only one thing has been purchased. A towel set. I am thankful for what ever I end up getting tomorrow. I just feel like the two nights DH and I spent at the stores making our registry was pointless.

have held my babies on my lap and tell them
about You, but since I didn't get the chance,
would You please hold them on Your lap
and tell them about me?

I know I should love feeling the baby move around, but he is the most active, strongest, insistent baby that I've had so far. He moves soooo much and it is so painful. He doesn't move softly or lightly, he just punches and kicks and stretches constantly. Sometimes I get annoyed with it.
I don't always wash new clothes before wearing them. Including DD's. And nothing bad has ever come of it.
I usually only wash new underware before wearing it. DH sometimes has me wash a new article of clothing for him if it's itchy.
I never wash anything first, and I've never had new skin issues, including undies sheets and towels. Oops the thought never occurred to me. I will wash LOs NB stuff and oddly I wash new guest linens before they use. I may not pre wash LOs stuff as he gets older if there's no sensitive skin?
March Siggy Challenge .. What I miss the most during pregnancy
Out kitchen is a mess, we have piles of laundry that needs to be done, but I'm still in bed, watching The Vampire Diaries. I know I have an excuse (I'm still not completely over this bug, and DH wants me to rest) but I probably could get up and clean. I just don't want to.

I never wash new things either. The only exception is dark jeans that would otherwise turn me into a smurf. I will be washing the baby's things, at least at first, so they will be softer.
If my husband asks me what's for dinner tonight I may lose it on him. Our birthdays are only 3 weeks apart and cooked him a great meal and a birthday cake for his. I know he has to work all day but if he can't think of something or just take us out I know I will be upset.
Probably more a bitch - Also, I'm over the whole I want my doctor to be there during my birth thing. Maybe it's because I've been felt up by more doctors in the last 2 weeks then I'd care to remember but I just want a mw or doctor there when he arrives. They (obs) rarely do anything for you during your actual labor and unless you have prior issues won't know anymore about your baby then someone else who can read a chart. And no this isn't a STM thing, I felt the same way with DS. If you have specific things you'd like to happen if possible, write a birth plan.

@beachcomberbride Me too. Have you ever played the game "Mortal Combat"? She knows all the special moves and does them to my insides.

Every year I have this secret evil wish that everyone will fail in their damn New Year's resolutions because they swarm the gym. I am a year-round gym-goer and I hate January. Yesterday I circled for 10 minutes looking for a parking spot. Grrrrrrrrrrr. Can't people make their healthy resolutions year-round, on their birthdays or something? Then I'd be all on their side. As it is, I can't wait until they all drop away......
Also, I think I officially hate the sound of happy children's laughter. I feel like an evil person, but there's an indoor waterslide where I do my laps and when it's open there are DOZENS of children on it and they SHRIEK. Indoors. In an echoey pool room. Again, grrrrrrrrrrr. I'm probably going to be a terrible mean mother.
I'm in Cancun Mexico and I'm drinking the ice water and eating the washed fruit and vegetables!
Whoa-bad choice!! I was there 2 yrs ago, only brushed my teeth and had ice cubes in a drink. One or Two drinks and I still got montezuma's revenge, had to go on antibiotics when I came home after spending bad times in the bathroom for over a week and being completely dehydrated. I can't imagine if I were pg at the time. Just FYI!
DH has been gone all week and comes back tonight... I may be spending the rest of today cleaning up our apartment so he doesn't figure out I've been living off of paperware and frozen pizzas.... If he shows up early I'm screwed lol!
I brought a ziploc of nuts to work for my morning snack. I put enough in there to leave some at work so I can have a snack on Monday morning too. Nope, ate them all. They were delicious.
Also, I switched the chairs around in the office until I found the most comfortable one. If anyone complains about me stealing the good chair they can deal with my bitchy wrath.

I had my first appointment with a nutritionist after being diagnosed with GD and after going through my meal log and glucose readings she told me I'm not eating enough carbs. So in the course of the meeting I told her I'm craving a strawberry glazed Dunkin Donut and she said you can have that for lunch with a salad. So I did, but I also had two Munchkins.
I guess my confession is that I love this onesie and I'm pretty sure someone has bought it for us. My husband has always loved going to the gym and working out and being fit and his friends always make jokes about him 'flexing' in pictures when he's really not. So this was just adorable and funny to us

I made my post slightly controversial to get some love it's or responses , but really we are at a nice all inclusive and we are not leaving the grounds. I'm on day 3 and everything is good. I DID wash my hands after getting off plane waiting for baggage and the faucet said No Drinking Water. I was verrry conscious not to touch my mouth, bite my cuticles or nails, etc, until we got to hotel and I could rewash!
DH got montezumas revenge in Mexico on a cruise ship stop two years ago. I do not wish that on anyone (maybe some of you would wish it on your MILs haha)!
March Siggy Challenge .. What I miss the most during pregnancy
I've been borderline anemic for the past month or so, and my doctor told me at my appointment last week that I needed to start taking a supplement. I still haven't gotten to the store to pick one up, and I'm feeling guilty about it. I'm already having stomach issues and am dreading making them worse.
I keep expecting to start craving charcoal like @babylimas, but I haven't yet, so I guess that's a good sign.
I went to the the movies last night for the sole purpose of getting popcorn. Got the free refill before I left so I can eat it again. The worse part is I'm allergic to corn, and I'm paying for it now big time.
I couldn't care less about losing the baby weight relatively quickly. We are walking miracles! Why the hell are some women so obsessed with this? Is it pressure from their SOs, or other insecurities? Just can't comprehend.
Because I like looking good naked. Concern/Awareness =/= obsession.
add me to the sleep through the nighters. and I'll even confess (totally flame worthy) that I don't have stretchmarks* and I doubt I'll get them. my skin doesn't even remotely feel tight. ">
Also, I REALLY want to change my avatar from one of the default pics, but I'm afraid people won't recognize me as a regular anymore. Think I'm safe to change it?
I don't think it's snarky, just rude... Which is why I didn't say it, but a couple of the baby nurseries people have posted have made me super cringe with how bad they were IMO. Like my nightmare nurseries.
That being said... I LOVE seeing nursery pics so keep em coming! I'm close to the point of being able to share ours and I'm excited (also feel free to tell me if you hate it at that time. Ha)
We have HEAPS of bills to pay this month and I went yesterday and got my legs waxed and a pedicure. It cost $75 which totally could've gone towards a bill. I told DH and he was like "that's ok it's important u feel good and love yourself". Thank god I have a nice husband!!!
I wore a pre-pregnancy, non-maternity dress to my shower. The fact that it fits AND looks better than the 7 maternity dresses I ordered makes me ridiculously happy.
Re: FFFC
I was pumping while reading this thread and wasn't paying very close attention and over filled the bottle I was pumping into!
