I cannot understand why parents put their little girsl in bathing suits whose sole purpose is to show off a hot body. That is why adult women wear them. There is nothing cute about it on little girls. I think it is classless and says a lot about the parents.

We never watch the superbowl in my house, I only know what day it is this year because three other managers requested the day off.

I was sad when I heard that Seattle beat San Francisco because DS was at my mom's house decked out in a 49er jersey for the game and so I was sad on his behalf...not that HE gave a crap, lol.

I am not a fan of baby bikinis either but mostly because we are a pastey, pastey family. That said though one of my favorite photos of me from when I was like 2 or 3 is in a little gingham pattern bikini standing at the ocean edge. I guess back in the late 70's it wasn't as big of a deal (and neither was skin cancer unfortunately).

YES! I have to buy my 5 year old daughter bathing suits as soon as they come out, otherwise, only the suits I'd put on a 21 year old are left. FOR FIVE YEAR OLDS! Ugh. I hate it.

Omg poor child! Maggie Moo is/was a ice cream chain...similar to cold stone. You tell them your flavor of ice cream then what candy you want. Then they mix it all up in a cup or a waffle cone! It was amazing! Sadly the ones where I'm from all closed. The only one I know of now is in Raleigh, NC and idk if it's still open.

@maggie-moo Yep! Maggie Moo's is an ice cream shop (parlor?) in the US. Not sure if it is specific to any particular region - but we have them in Nebraska.

Love me some Maggie-Moos's!! The closest one to us in Ohio is about 1.5 hrs away.

I personally like their ice cream best for milkshakes! It's a little too smooth and melts too fast if you eat it like normal ice cream, but that makes for the BEST milkshakes! Oh, yum!

Seriously - my kids basically go to the beach in a burka now. I destroyed my own skin as a teenager so I'm going to save my girls just a few of the nasty wrinkles I'm rocking now.

Now I want ice cream. I think cold stone creamery has only made its way up here in the past couple of years. Somehow, I have not yet gone to one (I think there is also Marble Works? Haven't been there either, but looking forward to it eventually!

If you have a miscarriage at 5 weeks, there is no way you have become super attached to people on this board, or that they have gotten attached to you. Post on one of the loss boards where you make get more than empty platitudes.

And just an FYI, on the April board a woman did have a loss, and she stuck with us and is still with us and the new board and just had a child a few months ago. So don't assume people are not close yet or getting along well. It doesn't make sense why would she go to the loss board for more genuine sympathy...she doesn't know them at all, we are her board we can comfort them just fine, if you don't want to be supportive or be bothered then don't click on the loss threads, but don't sit there and tell women they can't come here and talk about it. Next time just keep your heartless UO to yourself. And I saw your DD, think about what you say.

My UO: I can't stand seeing women completely invalidate one another's feelings on the bump sometimes . No, I don't mean telling someone Shanaynae isn't a good name, or even telling them that no, you aren't showing at 6 weeks you are bloated.. I mean when someone gets on to voice a fear, concern, or complaint, and women jump on them with a "I would kill if THAT was my only problem! Or " quit complaining about ______ because you don't know what hell I went thought TTC" or whatever.

Seriously, our pain and anxiety is relative to our own personal situation and experiences. Our journeys and pregnancies are literally incomparable and sometimes all people want is a shoulder, and they will seek it wherever they can. If yours isn't free to be leaned on, keep moving sister.

@PaddyB Many of us, especially the TTCALers, the IFers, and the IVFers, have been around the Bump for a very long time. We have preexisting relationships that have happily graduated to this board at the same time. Personally, I know several of the ladies here from previous involvement on other boards, and I would not want them to fade off the board without a goodbye. I do care about these ladies, and I do have an attachment to them already. Even when the ladies who post about MCs are new to the Bump, I feel for them, and often send a PM to let them know somebody's here if they need to talk. The newer members may not know about the specific loss boards, but many of the ladies here do, and still have friends on the other side that they can help guide others to. I hope your journey to motherhood teaches you more compassion than you currently display towards others.
