Good Morning Snowdrops!! If anyone needs to be moved to a different category, please let me know. I am swampped at work this morning and did not have time to go thru the old post... **hangs head in shame**

As for me today is my WTF appointment and I am a bit worried about what she will have to say. AF showed yesterday so I am hoping she says for me to take some bc pills today and lets get FET #2 underway! But we will see!

Lots of girls in the 2WW! I am excited to update with some positive tests!! it is already the 21st and we only have 1 result! Come on good news!!

QOTW: Our is Cancun Mexico... We have been to the resort several times and we LOVE it there... Here is a pic from our last visit.

@Ashris 13 - Good luck at your WTF appt. Keep us posted on your plans going forward.

UPDATE: On Sunday, we biopsied and froze three blastocysts and are currently awaiting the PGD results. My RE said they will take about 2 weeks so we won't hear anything until early February now. Hopefully, at least one of the three is normal and we can schedule a FET for Feb. If there are no normals, we are looking at cycling again in Feb.

QOTD: My favorite vacation destination is definitely Hawaii, either Maui or Kauai. We went there on our honeymoon and I loved it! Being east coasters, Hawaii is a real splurge since the flight prices are so expensive. Hopefully, we can make it back there someday!

@ashris13 good luck I know that WTF appt. are hard and hate going to them but hopefully you get to cycle soon!
@CallaLily30 good luck on pgd hopefully you can have three good ones and get to the FET ASAP! GL
AFM: did my second estradiol shot last night and feeling good. I love how that medicine clears up my skin and it's like glowing! Lol transfer is in 11 days Whoooo hooo!
Qotw: we love a tropical vacation and liked Hawaii when we went dec of 2012 but Jamaica was by far our fav vacation!!!

Well I have bad news.. I won't be a snowdrop after all. My cycle was cancelled. Friday I went in for monitoring and no follies and my e2 was 19! They had me continue meds through the weekend ( already on the max dose) and yesterday there was no improvement at all. The office staff was great and my RE had me come in and sit down and chat. He is very concerned with my quantity and quality. This isn't news really. After 2 years and countless failed/countless cycles and losses we are at a crossroads. My ovaries just don't want to play. I was prepared for this conversation as we had almost a similiar one a year ago after another cancelled IUI cycle. But he was willing and I was willing to give my old eggs a try. My second opinion agrees with my current RE. I have a better shot on my own then IVF since I actually do ovulate every month ( just not good ones).

So as to what happens now I don't know.... I am leaning towards donor eggs or embryo adoption. I have accepted both of those options. I am actually grateful I even have those options. I just want to be a mom. So I think we will take a break and pray and think about our next moves. I am still praying and rooting for all you snowdrops!

Yesterday I had a monitoring appointment and we had 16 follicles (12 on the right and 4 on the left). Most were in the 13-17mm range and a few were 11mm.

Today I had more monitoring and all follicles were growing nicely. Most of them were in the 15-17mm range, but I did have a few at 13mm and my lead follie that was on the right is up to 19mm. Interestingly enough my biggest follie on the left decided to jump from 16mm to 20mm in 24 hours. It looks like right now I have 3 good sized follies on the left and probably 8-10 on the right. This is definitely shaping up to be a much better cycle than the last two.

I am stimming one more night and then triggering tomorrow night for ER on Friday. I am hoping that we get at least 10 eggs this time.

QOTD: DH and I have only been on two vacations together. One to Disney World when we were dating (with my family) and one to Universal Studios about a year after we got married. I am hoping that if this cycle is a success, we might get to take a short "babymoon" this summer.

@Twinkie0612 That is wonderful news that you are responding better. It looks like your numbers have been getting better and better with each cycle. I am really hoping that this one is yours!

I had a monitoring appt yesterday after stimming for 4 days I only had 3 follies over 10 and about 16 less than 10 but my levels were high so they lowered my follistim to 150. Today I went in again and had 8 measuring between 10-13 so they were happy with that... I started Ganierelix today and go back in 2 days for another monitoring appt.

QOTD: I've been to Hawaii a couple times - I have an ex who was stationed there while we dated. The most beautiful place I've ever been and I hope DH and I can go there together someday!

Hey ladies! Sorry my formatting sucks - my iPad jacks everything up. We have almost the same numbers as our last cycle, and as of yesterday still had 6 growing in the lab ranging from 5-9 cells (which is in actuality 6-10). We go in for our ET tomorrow (through the 8 inches of snow we are getting!) and are still waivering on putting 1 or 2 back. I'm thinking about just deferring to the experts at this point. QOTD: We spend most of our vacation time going home to visit family in Michigan, so we get to spend a lot of time on the beach. My favorite real vacation was to Disneyworld a couple year ago. We drank our way around the world at Epcot and got totally loaded. It was awesome and so much fun! DH tried on a themed hat from every country - I have quite the collection of pictures!

@ksgsmu so sorry to hear about you being cancelled. I have been there three times during IVF and it's a huge blow to take. I went to donor eggs and finally got a BFP but had a etopic so I'm hopeful that it will work for me and in hopeful that you and DH will come to a agreement of what tondo and wish you the best. Come on over to the third party reproduction board of you have any questions about donor eggs or donor adoption. All the ladies have a ton of insight and it helped me a buch to read posts over there and learn a lot about all of it before we made our decision. Also you can always pm me if you have any questions.

@ksgsmu - So sorry for the news. It sounds like you guys have a few good options, though, and a best of luck on your path forward.

@HollowBerry - Good luck on your beta!

As far me, looks like I am not going to be a January Snowdrop :-( Nurse called this morning (day 5) and said I had four eight-cell embryos that hadn't been doing much and four that have developed into the EARLY blastocyst stage and look good, but they won't transfer unless they're expanded blastocysts. And, since I had a Lupron trigger, they don't want to wait and do a six-day transfer so that means we're freezing.

She said she expects we will end up with one to four frosties, but I won't know until tomorrow. Sooo looks like FET for March.

QOTD: We stayed at an all inclusive about an hour outside of Cancun. Was so beautiful and amazing. (Trying not to think about how many time we could have gone there for the cost of the IVF).

ET was today!! Instructions to kick back and be queen for 2 days, no argument from me. I'm in the 10 day wait

@spartangirl I also deferred to experts because I was waivering between 1-2 transfers for the last couple of days, but after brief consult with embryoligist and RE, I decided that I've left it up to the experts until now, I'll leave it in their hands and let fate take over. Good luck tomorrow!

Hello, ladies.
I had my ER yesterday morning. I was so nervous about it but it ended up not being bad. They retrieved 9 eggs, the doctor said of those only 4 were mature.

I just got off the phone with the office and they told me as of now there are 3 embryos growing. He said he expected that to happen as the other eggs did not look good. He said so far so good and I am currently scheduled for my ET on Thursday at 1pm. I am going to get a call tomorrow for another update. I am still so nervous, I just pray those little embies stay strong and continue to grow.

QOTD: I love Walt Disney World. I went 4 times with my family and I am trying to convince DH to go with me

One week from today is my beta! Doing well. Feeling optimistic.....today.

Went back to work today and then had an early dismissal due to the snow.

Good luck to everyone in the 2WW and cycling! I just know January will full of success!

QOTD: Dubrovnik, Croatia......went on a mediterranean cruise and this was my favorite place! It looks like a mixture of greece and Italy. The people are friendly and very nice. The food...delicious!

Had my ultrasound yesterday and the lining was 8mm - all set to go for transfer on Monday! Start PIO and other meds on Wednesday. It's so surreal!

We had our ET yesterday. It was a 3 day transfer. Our embryos weren't great quality but miracles can happen...that's what I've been repeating in my head anyway. We ended up transferring 3. My RE is actually pretty conservative so I think the only reason she allowed the 3 was because they were such poor quality. But, here's to hoping that one makes it. TWW should be a good time. I am trying the pineapple thing, just in case.

QOTD: Europe. I backpacked all over after college and would love to go back with DH someday. London is my favorite city.

Hi 'drops! Hugs to all who need them today.

Day 5 transfer was today so I'm now in the 2ww (or 10 days, Beta is 1/31). We deferred to the doctor and the lab's advice and went with two embryos vs. one. And now, we wait!

QOTD: I have so many, but it's winter now so I'll go with Aruba. One happy island!

@sunshinedaisie000 I haven't had OHSS but the symptoms they told me to watch for are shortness of breath (mild short of air they said would be expected), decreased urine and/or very dark in color, severe bloating, more than 3lb weight gain in 24 (which I do every day, so I discounted that one)

My one ovary did hurt and still does kinda hurt, feels like a knife in my side sometimes, but ER didn't seem concerned. But I think if you are in a lot of pain then I would call your ER.

Well we stimmed and we still only had one follicle but we decided not to cancel. We had retrieval today and we are just really hoping on our one egg. After already being canceled once I just had to take a chance to feel like I am doing everything I can. Please send warm thoughts that our little egg makes it to transfer on Sunday.

Hi Snowdrops! Hugs to all.

We had our single 5 day transfer on Monday and are waiting to hear the final Fert report to find out if any of the others made it to freeze (they should call today). I have decided that the 24 hour bed rest requirement drove me crazy especially since once it was over yesterday, it had started snowing and I still couldn't go anywhere. Oh well.

Beta isn't until 02/03 - not sure why Shady Grove waits so long.

QOTD: Bermuda. We have taken two cruises to Bermuda and love it. It greatly helps that we can drive to both NY/NJ and Baltimore ports so we don't have to pay for airfare.

ET was today. We went with 2, since that's what our Dr suggested. Beta on 2/4!

PS the Dr that did my ET must have swabbed my cervix half a dozen times. I was about threaten him.

I'm sorry to hear you guys didn't have any to freeze @jkayb123 - how many did you end up transferring? I'm assuming we are in the same boat, but I asked the clinic not to let me know about the remaining embryos until after my beta.

@spartangirl24 - congrats on not leg-strangling your doc during the cervical swab! I don't remember feeling that part but then again I was squeezing DH's hand and staring at the u/s monitor like my life depended on it!

@ashris13 - we are beta or bust, for now. I have a ton of HPTs but after all we've been through it seems kind of low tech way to end this kind of cycle!
