Luke has a fever again.
I haven't called his doc yet, but I suspect we may have to reset that big sparkly ticker very soon.
UPDATE: Attempts at cowbell were unsuccessful. Headed to the ER. Since he has no other symptoms they will likely keep us for a couple days to treat a potential central line infection.
-------------------------
UPDATE 2: ruled out the flu and RSV, blood cultures so far are negative. Waiting for more cultures, but I suspect virus bc DH and I both feel kind of crappy now too. I'm really frustrated with how everything is being handled; just sloppiness everywhere. For example, his TPN came 4 hours late and they didn't check his file so they didn't use his regular TPN formula so he only got about half the calories he needs, starting 4 hours late, after drinking only Pedialyte all day. Wtf.
Oh, and AF showed up overnight. I think I'm crankier than Luke is.
Hoping we can go home tomorrow.
-----------------------
Update #3: I think this pretty well sums up our day today:

MONDAY UPDATE:
All cultures from Saturday were negative, but the one from yesterday was positive. GI doc thinks it was probably contaminated but won't let us go home until they run another set to make sure, so we're in for one more night.
The on-call GI doc helpfully pointed out that teething can cause fevers. So we may be spending 4 days in the hospital for teething. ::facepalm:: But with a central line every fever has to be taken seriously, so here we are.
On-call doc did also return us to full feeds last night, and our regular GI doc let that stick this morning. So that makes this a little more bearable.
If they don't let us go in the morning I might pull a MOH and bust on outta here....
