Good morning snowdrops!

Not too much to report around here. I finally got a decent night's sleep last night, with no night sweats. I don't know if it was a fluke, but I'll take it.

Other than that I continue to stim and have my intralipid infusion today. I have a monitoring appointment on Monday and I am anxious to see what is going on with my ovaries.

QOTD: I work in marketing research and my company specializes in agricultural research.

Hi ladies! It seems like everyone is moving along now.

UPDATE: Nothing really to report here. I'm just waiting on my embryo report on Sunday and hoping a few of our embryos make it to biopsy and freeze. I'm so nervous we won't have any.

QOTD: By degree, I'm a mechanical engineer. I work for the Army as a civilian but I do mostly project management work these days. You pretty much need to have a background in engineering to keep up with the technical info.

Hello Ladies!!

Well I had my second Beta today to make sure the test is negative. I am waiting for the call from the doc so we can discuss what to do now. I will be checking in on you ladies all the time... hoping that I am the only one on the BFN list!!

QOTD: I have my degree in Marketing.... But I actually work in Check Fraud for a major bank.

@twinkie0612 Sending good vein vibes your way for your infusion! And also hoping that your good nights sleep is a common trend going forward!

@Lucyb82 I cannot beleive you have already had your ER today! wow... but then again I am in the central timezone and that could be a big difference!! Rest up girlie and tell those little embies to grow grow grow!!

Had a monitoring appointment ( CD5 after 3 days of stims). Nothing really to report she could see a couple large ones but said most were way too small to measure. This made me go into a panic and my nurse had to calm me down. She said my lining looks good and we should see more on Monday etc... I am still worried. They are leaving my meds the same over the weekend.

QOTD:
I am a gift buyer for a large store. I also am part owner in my families jewelry design company.

Hello all! I went in on Wednesday for a scan/blood work and that evening they called and had me add Ganirelix and continue with the same doses of Lupron (5 units) and Follistim (200). I went in this morning for another scan/blood work. Starting yesterday I have been feeling kinda crampy/ have some aches in my ovary areas and in my lower back, hope that is a good sign.

QOTD: Well, in November I resigned from my job as an Activity Director at a nursing home. I am currently a stay-at-home wife and an Independent Scentsy Consultant.

I started stims last night.. looking back it must have been hysterical if somebody was watching me and DH trying to get it together... we had the ipad going, I kept yelling about things being contaminated. ... I got the Follistim together and worked up the nerve to give it to myself pretty quick... I was planning on doing it all along but DH said he could do it if I needed him. Well when I freaked out and said I couldn't, guess what?? He tells me he cant. I think its what I needed to hear and I Just did it... but as we were getting the Menopur together I started getting really lightheaded and really thought o would pass out. So he got it together and I just came over when it was time and gave myself the shot. So thats our new plan; he'll get them prepped and I'll give myself the shots.

Hi snowdrops! I am laying on my couch after a successful ER where we retrieved 15 oocytes! I could not believe how quick and easy it was. Thank God for IV sedation.

The only issue was that my right ovary was directly behind my uterus. The tried everything (even going through my abdomen) and couldn't get there. So, all my 15 were from my left.

ER yesterday retrieved 30 eggs! I was pretty excited, but I got my fert. report this morning and only 10 are "ongoing." Pretty disappointed. I emailed my nurse coordinator for more details (I want to know if perhaps many of those eggs were not mature or if there is a problem with fertilization. We're doing ICSI, so I guess I thought the number would be higher). Trying to stay positive. 10 is still a good number, right?

And I am really thankful that I've had such a great cycle. Almost no side effects from the meds and no bloat.

Hi ladies. I had my ER yesterday and got my fert report this morning: 9 retrieved, 7 mature, all 7 fertilized. Yay! Our RE has said all along our protocol was about quality vs. quantity so we are happy with the results so far. Transfer is scheduled for Tuesday... grow embies grow!

@absolutelymaybe - We had 19 eggs retrieved and 14 were mature but only 11 were fertilized with ICSI as well. I haven't gotten a chance to ask but I was disappointed with the number as well because I thought almost all would be fertilized with ICSI as well.

**Update**

So the nurse already called back and said the beta dropped more so we are headed to our WTF appointment on Tuesday... YAY!! and she said that she thinks there will be no reason we cannot cycle back to back!! bring on the Hopeful Hearts!!

Hi Snowdrops! We also had ER on Wednesday (bright and early at 7:30 am - ugh). They removed 23 and 20 were mature. As the RE recommended ICSI (and we agreed), all of the mature one were fertilized. As of this morning, 15 are still on track with growth so it is very likely we will have a 5 day transfer on Monday. Bloating has gotten better over the last 24 hours or so but I have developed a distinct dislike of both Gatorade and Ensure (both were recommened by my RE).

Hello snowdrops! ER was today and they got 12. Same number as our last stim cycle, so at least I'm consistent! Hoping for a 5DET this Wednesday. One an odd note, our paperwork today said our plan was to transfer 2 this cycle (last time we only did one). I wish our RE would talk to us about these decisions, because that came out of the blue for us! I'm going to email my nurse later and ask. QOTD: DH and I are both teachers. We are both high school level, but he is at a public, and I'm at a private. It's definitely interesting to compare what happens at our school to the other's!

Doing my first estradiol shot tonight and happy to get things goin. Had baseline ultrasound wed and all is looking perfect dr says. Next fri is lining check. I'm two weeks from transfer today!!!!!!
Qotd I'm a hairstylist and soo busy this week! Im training a new assistant and it is exhausting!

I found out I have 8 fertilized embryos growing. I'm happy with that number! This is my first go round so I have nothing to compare to though. Im feeling terrible post ER, though. It went really well til about noon today and now I'm in a lot of pain. Hoping its better tomorrow

Hi ladies! We triggered with Ovidrel on Wednesday and had my ER today.

The retrieval went great. I was scheduled for 7:00am so we had to get there at 6:00am. My doc retrieved 16 eggs, which shocked us since there didn't look like there was that many follicles (I guess they were hiding??). We got 5 more than last time, so increasing the med dosage worked after all. which I am ecstatic about! He only took eggs from follicles that looked mature, so hopefully most will be mature.

Pain is very minimal so far. I am definitely high risk for OHSS so I have to take it easy for the next few days. My RE said my E2 was pretty high. I didn't ask him what it was, I figured he wouldn't know without looking at my chart anyway. Bring on the electrolytes!

We will hear back on fertilization tomorrow so hopefully we get at least 12 (9 mature and 9 fertilized last time) that are able to be fertilized. FX that there is a healthy one in the batch this time!! Transfer is scheduled for Thursday.

@Aurora1181 did you ice the area prior to injection? My RE gave me the instruction to ice the area first then apply heat after to promote absorption. I didn't feel the needle go in and just a little burning ad the PIO was injected.

@Aurora1181 I also do what @BankerBSN suggested, and also make sure DH is going fast. My DH had a hard time with this and I actually did it myself for the first few until I had to switch cheeks and couldn't do it left handed. Going in fast and pulling needle out fast makes all the difference. Tiny poke. Hope it gets better for you

@Aurora1181 my clinic also recommends laying down while your DH does the injection to make sure the muscle is relaxed. I've never iced before, but I definitely recommend heat afterwards and if you can getting up and walking around afterwards.

Transfer is planned for Friday! I start the PIO, medrol, and antibiotic today. The antibiotic kills my stomach, ugh! I go back for monitoring tomorrow, hopefully any fluid will be gone. I can't stand the thought of getting cancelled.

QOTD: I'm in public accounting....hello, busy season. Nothing like more hours to reduce my stress!

Welcome @sunshinedaisies000! My monitoring appointment is tomorrow and my ER should be this week as well (looking at your siggy, I wonder if we are at the same clinic...).

This is our 3rd IVF. For me ER isn't that bad. Mine are done under twilight anesthesia. I go in get my IV they take me back and administer the anesthesia and the next thing I know I am waking up and it is all over. I do recommend wearing comfortable clothes and bringing a pad/liner for the spotting. Other than that I usually just take it easy the rest of that day. I usually have a little cramping afterwards, but feel pretty good about a day afterwards. I've never had to deal with OHSS, though, since I am not a great responder to stims. If you have OHSS, recovery will probably be worse than I described.

Hi Snowdrops. We have our double FET today and I'm hoping that our embryos thaw successfully. I didn't sleep very well last night and am just trying to stay positive and relaxed. It's been very hot in Australia- over 40 degrees Celsius most days (100+ degrees Fahrenheit) and the nights have been staying around 30 degrees C.

QOTD: I'm a paediatric occupational therapist. I work with children with autism, physical disabilities and intellectual disabilities and I love it.

I'm on my first IVF cycle, too, and had ER this past Thursday. I was so nervous, but it wasn't bad at all. The worst part for me was when the nurse was trying to prep me for the IV in my hand (I've never had one there before) and was having trouble. Of course, not only was she having trouble, but she felt the need to give me the play-by-play of why it wasn't working and a lot of "Oops!" So, yeah, I started getting dizzy. But once she gave up and put it in my arm we were great!

I got on the table and the anesthesiologist told me he was starting the meds and I swear the next thing I remember I was in recovery with DH and I felt kind of amazing. (Apparently I kept asking him to take a picture of me. He would take a picture and then like 30 seconds later I would be like "Are you going to take a picture of me?")

Afterward I was fine. I was a little sore, but nothing major. They gave me Tylenol with codeine, which I took one right after retrieval and one later that night, but that's it. I made sure to eat non-gassy non-constipating foods for the days prior to ER, so I wouldn't have any bowel issues and made sure I drank plenty of Powerade Zero after. I really think these things helped.
