Speaking of baby names...I've been looking to my family tree (I'm an ancestry.com addict) for ideas, and my ancestors and some names I am HARDLY fond of. Apparently Dorcas was a very popular girls name in the late 18th/early 19th centuries. I thought my fan was weird when I saw Dorcas popping up all over my tree bit apparently this hideous name was pretty ordinary. Queen and Princess are also in my family tree. I had one relative who named all their sons after presidents (with the last name as the middle name): George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and Andrew Jackson.
Re: Crazy names from your family tree
I also found some interesting family names on ancestry.com. "Cotton" is in my family tree (a man's name). Also, there are a few "William Cole" ancestors. I thought that name is really cool (first name William, middle name Cole), but then I realized his initials would be "W.C." That is the abbreviation for public bathroom here in Switzerland, so that is NOT going to work!

Napoleon Bonaparte (last name).
It's important for you to know that this side of the family was dirt poor southern hillbillies who had a history of retreating further into the country whenever a war/draft was looming.
