For me, also got formula samples in the mail and was pleasantly surprised to discover that Similac now makes a formula specifically as a BFing supplement.

Yesterday was the 11th, and my due date is Feb. 11, so I was thinking "hey, a month until baby!" And then I remembered that I'm going to be induced at least a week before my due date. Well, shit.

I've had my OB tell me this for every single pregnancy starting at about 36 weeks. I have yet to deliver a baby before 38w6d!

That would be fine with me! The problem is that now I'm going to be second-guessing every twinge until she comes!

Oh and opening a pack of newborn diapers and smelling that baby scent hit me like a ton of bricks. I just sat there and looked at how tiny they are and realized a baby will be using them soon. Whoa and now it's making me tear up. I really can't wait for this opportunity to raise a baby again. I mean I can wait...she doesn't need to come early!

So we toured L&D, started packing our hospital bag, cleaning like it's spring and a couple of BH that were back to back. Feeling a bit anxious as we move closer. 6 weeks left! The nursery isn't even close to being finished.

I'm with ya on the procrastinating. Nursery also not done --- at all. I really feel like I've been in heavy denial through the majority of this pregnancy!

: / One "shit just got real" moment though was last Wed, at my midwife appt, when rescheduling --- they asked how many weeks pregnant I was (33, at the time) and my EDD (02/23), and they said, "Oh, well we can just schedule all your remaining appts and print them out for you!" ........ *gulp*

I finally had the shit got real moment. My mom came over and we scrubbed the house from floor to ceiling, and DH and I started setting baby stuff up throughout the house. My oldest daughter and I started organizing, and we have a laundry basket full of teeny, tiny clothes waiting to be washed. We are almost baby-ready.

I also registered online but I went in store and the "gift" is a little bag that has lots of nice samples of things - a paci, a bottle (avent), baby's first teether, buttpaste and more! Plus a bunch of coupons and Baby! Magazine.

We had our home birth class on Wednesday!

The nursery is FINALLY all cleared out and ready for painting (yeah, we are way behind, it's called second child syndrome lol)!

I got formula samples too the other day--12 of those ready to feed bottles from Similac. I honestly have no clue how I got them!

My moment -- I am pretty sure I had a few contractions last night. They were not like what I had been feeling before. They were not super painful but they definitely caught my attention and I had to stop what I was doing when they happened. This happened around 8:00 last night. I went to bed and drank some water and they stopped.

DH is clearly not worried as he said "Let me know if they get worse and I'll warm the car" without taking his eyes off the play off game haha

Sounds like my husband. Last summer I had my appendix taken out and when I woke him to go to the ER he honestly asked if I wanted him to go with me. A few weeks ago I brought this up and asked if he was going to have the same response when I go into labor.
