Mine was yesterday. We had been out all morning... Nothing strenuous just riding in car and eating lunch. Started having cramps and contrax on the way home. I sat down in the recliner, drank water, and tried to relax but they kept coming. They weren't painful but they were uncomfy enough that I was concerned. DH tried timing them but they were all over the place- not consistent at all. Finally I got antsy and decided to try moving around to see if that changed things and then they stopped. So apparently my BH keep going if I lie still? Odd. I've had a few more today but that was definitely the oh sh!t moment for DH. I really haven't had many painful contrax with my past pregnancies (c/s) so he didn't quite know what to do!
Bought and assembled the swing. Installed carseat. Hospital bags are 90% packed. Cerclage comes out tomorrow. Closing in on 37weeks-means 2 or 2 1/2 weeks for me!

BFP #1 (natural) 12/23/2010. Stillbirth due to IC 4/2/2011
TTC #2 starting 03/2012
RE starting 07/2012
05/2013 BFP on a Letrozole (Femara)/trigger!
Cerclage, Procardia, Makena, GD (with insulin), MBR, and we made it!
Our Angel was born sleeping at 20 weeks due to IC.
Mom flew in to help with DS/DD, DH installed/moved around car seats, hospital bag packed (95%), small gifts for DD/DS purchased and wrapped for when LO comes home, breastfeeding cover made, Procardia only has 2 days left till empty (with no refill), and I'm 3+ days passed the date that DD/DS were born 4+ years ago. R-E-A-L!!
Edit: T&P to you @BioGirl21 Please keep us updated!
Formula sample in the mail, we bought a dresser for the nursery (we're reusing everything we had, so buying a "big" thing was like whoa), I asked DH if he remembers how to to install the car seat base and that we should do it soon and he says "yeah, we still have plenty of time" and I had a few random contractions that night!!! Yeah lets not wait on that installation please! She could be here anytime.
Our baby boy passed to SIDS on 12/6/12
A gift from Heaven...Our LittleRAINBOWarrived 1/31/14!
I had to take DS's car seat out yesterday to Scotch Guard the seats in my new car. When they were dry, we decided to just move it over and put the base in for the baby's seat instead of having to take his out and move it again in a week or two. So, I now have two car seats in my car instead of just one!
DH has been all calm and collected and is always like "we have so long until the baby gets here."
Well, he said to me this morning: "I guess it's close enough that the baby could probably get here any day...since you're full term and all."
Shut up, DH. Just shut up! The baby needs to stay in there for weeks yet...
This attitude, apparently inspired him to set up the crib and install the car seat. So now I have a constant physical reminder (that isn't my stomach) that there will be a baby in my car in 0-5 weeks!
I also saw my family this week and when we said goodbye, my dad was like "hey, next time I see you you'll have a baby."
February 2014 siggy challenge (Feb 2014 BMB): Ugly Cry
MH is currently organizing the pantry and just asked me if we wanted to have a shelf dedicated to baby stuff. I hadn't even thought of that, but, yeah, we need a place for bibs, baby food (eventually) etc.
Doctor told me at my appointment on Thursday that she doesn't think I'll make it my ultrasound next Thursday. Guess I should probably start packing my hospital bag, huh?
(Don't worry - I know I'm not recognizable enough to start my own thread about having my baby!)
I haven't posted this in it's own thread because I'm more of a semi-regular but my water broke last night. Yeah, shit definitely got real. Laying in L&D at 5 cm and starting pitocin since I haven't progressed any in the last 4 hours.
Aside from that, we put the car seats in the car last Saturday. That made it feel real too.

I've had my OB tell me this for every single pregnancy starting at about 36 weeks. I have yet to deliver a baby before 38w6d!
Several of you have mentioned receiving formula samples in the mail. I plan to breastfeed, but wanted to have formula on-hand just as emergency backup. Where/how do I get a sample?

Oh my! I'd say shit's getting seriously real for you! You're in my thoughts! How're you doing so far?

Thanks! I'm doing ok, I got an epidural a few hours ago so I'm not feeling anything. Epi's are awesome, btw!

Someone help catch me up! I have seen so many posts about formula samples coming in mail- what am I missing!? I feel like I've sign up for everything but only get coupons in mail? And good web sites I am missing for samples?
My shit just got real moment is right now. Reading everyone's responses is making me feel like I've dropped the ball big time ha. At least you guys have me motivated now.
@BioGirl21 good luck!! You're going to do great. Congrats in advance!
@mdr619 I received the formula samples as well, I registered at BRU and Target, but didn't request samples or anything so i'm not sure how they knew/where they came from. I'm also planning on breast feeding but was happy to get the samples just in case.
I had awful cramping last night and a lot more braxton hicks today. I am sick, so am probably dehydrated, but it made me realize labor could happen any time really. I also have my at home visit with the midwives on Tuesday, installing the car seat base this week, and feel like I have almost everything I need at this point. Oh yeah, and I just felt baby hiccuping in my butt, which is a reminder of her being head down and how low she is at this point- walking has started to become very uncomfortable and I feel like when I sit on the toilet i'm gonna push her out.
No crib. No car seat. No stroller. Everything else is packed in boxes and the movers come Thursday. Then a 14 hour drive to move when I'm 35 weeks. No definite housing picked out for the moment. I'm either crazy or WAY too laid back for this...impeccable timing in military life...

We are taking all of our child birth and infant care classes. We took baby safety and child birth prep last week. I've got breast feeding tomorrow and DH has Daddy Boot Camp next weekend. For me and also DH, our Oh Shit moment came yesterday when DH had a meltdown because he has a huge work deadline that's 3 days before I'm due. He panicked because he's scared that since we are at 36 weeks he realized there's nothing stopping labor. If I deliver early, he won't be able to take ANY time until that deadline passes. We have a ton of support if that happens. But it won't be the same and he will miss a lot of initial bonding.
@BioGirl21 - Good luck and please do keep us posted!!! :bz
-The last of my newborn CD stash is scheduled to arrive tomorrow, and next weekend we'll complete the necessary stuff on our registry. -DH installed the bases in our cars and is nagging me about my hospital bag. (I'll also complete the shopping for this next weekend.) -All the baby items we have already are cleaned and prepped. -We have our fur-baby care lined up, fridge stocked, and house is as clean as two people with colds can clean. (I know as soon as we're over being ill, we'll disinfect everything!)
As to shit getting real, Minion feels like it is too strong for my uterus to hold. Every time it moves, I feel like my vagina is ripping in half...or it'll rip open my abdomen!!! It's definitely having another growth spurt and is tired of being cooped up.
I tried to install the car seat bases, but I decided the wind was too cold and I was too hungry. Oops. I will get that done this week I need to get my ass in gear!!!
Otherwise, I assembled our pack n play since we are using the bassinet feature for LO immediately after birth. I also made a banner for her/the nursery.

@mdr619@cestreets
I know motherhood maternity sends you samples in the mail.
@chereen@cgunarat I have made several purchases at motherhood and have received several "thank you" gifts, including a few bottles, but no formula. Maybe it's regional?
Motherhood Maternity I think is where formula samples come from. (Well, info given to them and it goes to similac/enfamil, etc). With our loss, I got all the formula samples in the mail, and never did a registry, but did sign up at Motherhood Maternity.
I also just signed up at Similac Moms (had a thing in one of the several freebies)-and got some sample formula in the mail the other day, along with coupons.

@BioGirl21 - good luck!! FX for a easy and smooth delivery!!
I also received formula samples in the mail this week, and have no idea where they came from. Like pp said, I'm assuming they got my info from a registry I created.
My moment came this last week- I only have 8 days till my induction!!
-My DH installed the car seat and we already had it inspected. - nursery is just about done, just need to finish washing a few things, organize all the gifts we received, and some missing decor. - hospital bag list is ready for shopping to be able to pack. Just need to finish buying off what I need from the registry and we should be all set. 8 days?!?!
Just got a few things delivered yesterday (cloth diaper covers, diaper pail liners, snappies), and I have all of LO's clothes washed & ready. My mom gave me her bassinet last night, so I need to wash it and its sheets...still need to purchase a few things from our registry that we didn't receive at the shower. It still doesn't really feel "real" though...maybe I'm just strange. Lol
Someone help catch me up! I have seen so many posts about formula samples coming in mail- what am I missing!? I feel like I've sign up for everything but only get coupons in mail? And good web sites I am missing for samples?
Try searching Similac Strong Moms - I think that is where mine came from. Also, I think if you are registered at BRU that might have something to do with it??
I was just at the grocery store with DH and bought a big box of giaganto thick pads for after baby comes. We both had a good chuckle throwing it in the cart ! Baby stuff makes sh!t seem real... *after* baby stuff makes it even realer!
Doctor told me at my appointment on Thursday that she doesn't think I'll make it my ultrasound next Thursday. Guess I should probably start packing my hospital bag, huh?

That would be fine with me! I was just telling DH that she's definitely going to stay in there another month now that we're second-guessing every twinge and in baby-prep overload!
