Hadn't seen this one started yet. We had Gs appt today she is 16lbs 6 ounces (20%...up from 10% last time so we are excited about that). 28 inches (65%). Doc said she is doing great and not to worry that she hasn't said any consonants yet;)
Right! Its not even January yet! Although our beautiful babies were
born at all different dates majority are April babies and will need
another month to be 9 months!
Thanks for starting this thread! I am always anxious to see where my DS falls on the growth chart since he was not on the charts at all the first three months (he was a preemie). He turns 9 mos on Jan 8 and his appt is on the 16th. I can't believe he is going to be referred to as a 'toddler' soon!
LO turned 9 months yesterday, but her appointment is not until January 10th. No clue how long she is, but she is 22 pounds. Mommy's little chunker She is constantly on the move now, pulling up on things, crawling, chasing the cat! She also know what to do when she wants our attention.
I have a 22 pound little chunker as well! He's a big boy and just turned 8 months on the 26th! I'm scared to know how much he's going to weigh at 9 months, my back hurts .
@bellabean76 Really don't worry! Rhys went from zero to sixty in one day. He just woke up one morning and was saying D's and B's... The next day or two he started saying M's and even "Bwuh". It literally happened overnight.

Any other Canada ladies to weigh in? My Doc does a 6 month and a 12 month well baby check up. No 9 Month over here! my LO was 22lbs at his 6 month though.... 90th percentile :P
LO was 9mo on Friday and our appt is thursday. I can't wait. She has been very small...closer to the 10th percentile than the 25% so I'm anxious to see.
Miles turned 9 months on the 22nd. He's 25lbs and 31" tall. Talking up a storm and just started clapping and kissing.
I am in a bit of denial that his first year is going so fast. My baaaaaybeeee!
Torrin is 31" and 23.8 lb. Dr. Said he's doing just great. He can pull up and take steps along furniture and has three words. "Neh!" (No) being one of them. Still working on the hand gestures, he doesn't really do that consistently but that's ok. He's doing well!

Our baby just barely turned 8 months on the first. At six months she was 28 pounds, 30 inches. I am thinking she is now hovering around 30 pounds and is longer... but I don't know by how much.
She is rolling like a champ and just barely starting to inch worm. She loves to make all kinds of noise, no words yet but definitely some sounds with meaning (ex."nanana" means "holy crap I am super tired").
Other than that, 8 months is super fun. I love to play with her. I do not love her current cold.
Camden had his 9 month appt today. He turned 9 months Dec 29th. He weighed 23lbs 8 oz (80th percentile) and his height was 30.5 inches tall (96th percentile). Such a big boy!!
We had our appointment yesterday. LO weighed in at 17 lbs and 13 ounces and measured 27 inches.... Which was odd because she was 26.25 at her 6 month appointment. Dr. said not to worry, he suspects she was mismeasured at 4 months and it just caught up.
She is talking up a storm and babbled through her entire appointment, however she is not on the move yet. And of course my neurotic side can't help but worry because I have some serious development issues linked to severe autism in my family

Reading through this thread so far, I hear Garrison Keillor's voice in my head saying, "Lake Wobegon, the town where all the women are strong, all the men are good looking, and all the children are above average..." We have a lot of big babies and a lot of babies who are hitting milestones early! Way to go A13! Our 9-month app't is on Thursday. Can't wait to see how much DS has grown!

We just had our 9mo appt today. She turned 9 months on December 30th. A is 23lbs and 30 inches, big girl! She is crawling, standing, and babbles up a storm. I'm relieved because the last two appts (4 and 6 months) we were sent for follow ups at the Children's Hospital. Not this time! Is it bad that I was super excited that her convertible car seat came today? (ordered online). She is officially over the height limit for the "bucket". Time is flying!
Ginny had her 9 month appointment yesterday and an endocrinologist appointment today. I trust the endo's measurements more because they have a digital scale vs. a balance scale. lol
She's 17lbs 3oz and 26 1/4" long. Still a bit of a peanut, but she's growing - especially now that we've got her medication dose figured out. Both docs are super happy with her development and said she's ahead of the curve on several things, which is always nice to hear. We're still waiting on a few genetics tests to come back that will help us narrow down the type of CAH she has. After that, we may test Charlie since its a genetic condition. We should know more around the end of the month.

We had ours in Thursday - she was 19lbs 2oz (50%), 29" (90%) and 44cm (50%). Doing great developmentally and hitting all milestones...doc was happy. She's been crawling for a while and even takes a couple of steps every now and then.
@OhSewCrafty -Glad that Ginny is doing well. Good luck with the genetic tests too.
Noah's 9 month appt was on Thursday. Looks like he's one of the smaller babies here. He is 18 lbs 14 oz (25%) and 28.5 inches (52%). He's dropped in percentages in both wt and ht but gained over 1.5 lbs and almost 2 inches since our last visit. He eats very well with three meals a day plus 24-30 oz of BM/Formula but is very active so his pediatrician was not concerned. Still no crawling mentioned in other posts but he stands when he holds into his activity table etc.
Connor turned 9 months on the 3rd. He had his check up today though. 24lbs 4 oz. 32 inches and 19 1/2 inch head. Verified no murmur anymore and up to date on his shots.
@bellabean76 glad to hear your pediatrician wasn't concerned about no consonants either. At our 9 month appt. I was concerned that T wasn't babbling with consonants, but the doc said she thought he was doing fine.
Just got back from our 9-month checkup (he is 9 months old today!): 29 inches tall (77%) and 21 pounds 11 ounces (82%). This is the first time my pedi has used percentiles. Apparently my child is also above average (in size)!

I thought I checked in here but I guess I'm losing my mind Had Daley's 9 month appt on Wednesday the 15th (she was 9 mos on the 3rd). She is 30 1/4 inches long and 21.09 lbs.
Christian has his 9 month on Friday. He weighs 20.2 lbs and is 28.25 inches long.
My question is if two babies measure the same height, should their percentages be the same? What is that percentage dependent on?
As said above that there is a difference between boys and girls. Also, if a baby is the same gender.. one who is 28.10 inches would be at a lower percentage (maybe even a few points lower) than one who is 28.5 inches. Quarters of an inch and ounces are factored into percentages.
We don't hit 9 months until Tuesday. His dr appt is next thurs. all I know is he is enormous! And just today he started saying "babababababa." It was literally overnight and adorable.

He learned how to sit up from lying down on his own this week. He talks all.the.time and wants to eat everything we eat.
Our appt is on Friday, I am excited to see how much she has grown
