All of you Canton/Akron mommies, I am expecting my first bundle of joy and am new to the area. Was wondering what your thoughts are on the obgyn offices around? The only 2 I'm familiar with is Stark Womens, and Atrium. Any opinions or thoughts? I would really appreciate any feedback!
Thanks!
I go to Women's Health Group and have gone to them for about 3.5 years, since I was pregnant with my son. I love all the docs there (see all of them in rotation when pregnant). They have offices in Green and Tallmadge.
I'm in Cincinnati too! I work in Clifton and live in Anderson Township! I think with this many Cincy Bumpies...we might need to schedule a brunch or something!!
We are actually new to Cincy. DH is French, I grew up in Florida. We moved to Utah for DH job, then Oregon for my job, and then Cincy for my job. Been all over!

@robbinrl@nelleebelle When I found out about the pregnancy I defaulted to the OBGYN I went to in college. The practice is called Dayton OBGYN and they are a part of Premier Health Specialists which is a Premier subsidiary. They have an office in the women's center at MVH and also in Centerville, and you can deliver either at MVH or MVH South. I was going to ask my doctor if being a part of the Family Beginnings program was an option while also staying with my doctor, so we'll see what they say. Not sure how insurance works out with Family Beginnings, whats covered, and what isn't.
I think that practice does family beginnings too. When I planned to do it last time it was covered the same as the hospital for me with Anthem and would generally have been less expensive because most people spend less time in the hospital with less interventions. I ended up needing to be induced due to signs if pre-e so I didn't get to do family beginnings, but my experience at MVH was still great.
I lived in Ohio up until 2 years ago. I was born in Cincy, raised in Mansfield and lived in Columbus my last 5 years. I miss Columbus so much. All of my family is in ohio too so I get to go back and visit a lot. Go buckeyes!

Very cool! Well, welcome to the Nati officially! I grew up in Batavia, went to HS in Anderson and now live in Milford. A brunch would be super fun! I go to school at Cincinnati State!
I'm in NW Akron and pregnant with my second child!
TSBride08, I recommend the OBGYN Associates of Akron - the only all-female OB group around here! I've seen Dr. McGrievy this whole year for several pregnancy losses and now this pregnancy - she is really really fantastic as a doctor and a person. Or Paragon OBs/midwives has great recs, but my insurance doesn't accept them.
