I didn't ask anyone to join. I'm just commenting that saying you'd only join with active members (who could also easily be fake) is a silly reason to me. But to each thier own. I'm mobile and even though I browse almost daily when I have a few minutes it is hard for me to become familiar with anyone as I can't see signatures, I feel like Facebook gives me the opportunity to get better acquainted. It's all a personal opinion. Join or don't. They were just extending an offer to include everyone.

I barely post here, that doesn't mean I'm any less who I say I am. FB is just easier for me to keep up with.
Same...plus it's easier on mobile which I am 99% of the time
That's all fine and dandy, but we still don't know you from anyone because you don't post here. I'd be more comfortable joining a group where it's actually women I know and have talked to (like SNLT, Curlylocks, etc), rather then just some random chick who occasionally posts asking for people to join, KWIM?
If you're no different, then I don't see what the issue would be with giving a list of screen names of people who are members, so other non-members can decide if they're comfortable enough joining.
And do you actually know them personally?? Seen them? Had play dates? Hung out?
Lol that wasn't my point...my point was that you don't truly know someone and it's much harder to get to know someone in a HUGE forum like this than in a small Facebook group. That's all I'm saying.
And I post in here if I feel like it...I have a local moms group of friends who I am really connected to and have hungout with and if I have question I ask them not in here because I value their thoughts and opinions because I got to know them. I'm getting to know a lot of the ladies in this other group I can't wait to get to know them better and I am beginning to value their opinions also!

I don't think either site is necessarily better than the other. People can create fake fb accounts using fake names just as easily as they can create fake bump accounts. It's amazing how easy it is. This argument boils down to whether you like one site over the other and whether you feel safer with people not knowing your real name, or knowing everyone else's real name.
That said, it's pretty damn easy to create a fake profile on either site. Goodness knows I only post on here when I'm not playing with my belly button lint while playing WoW and calling for takeout because my 500 lbs frame doesn't fit in my 1980 Dodge Dart to drive to Dominoes anymore...
I guess I'm not concerned because I talk to strangers every day at work and they know my first and last name and it's on my name tag and on the invoices they get sent home with. If someone wanted to follow me home from work and be creepy hen they could because I live 5 minutes away from my work. So for me people that don't even live in the same city (or do idk) to know my real name is of little importance to me
My point exactly @lilygrace48 ! It just appeared that people had a false sense of security here talking to "regulars". We can all agree that even the most "known" member can be a bored teenager lonely for friends. I don't think anyone was trying to make people choose one or the other. Just an open invitation.
@LilNunz1, my name is David Keagan O'Reilly Thomas IV, I was born on February 17, 1962 (don't forget my birthday!), and I've weighed 500 lbs since I was 12. Is that too personal?
(this is me trying to be funny, and then starting to doubt myself, but posting anyway, I hope it comes across as funny....)
I joined the FB group a while back, checked it out and then "quit" the group. I feel as though I have a closer bond with you anonymous "regular" ladies(?) here on this board. I also have a great imagination and don't want to screw that up with finding out who you "really" are (right now, at least).
Whatever your avatar picture is on TB, I imagine you in that costume 24/7 IRL. @snuff9861, yours is the best!
It seems that most of the FB members are ladies who aren't regulars here. Which is fine - not sure there is a need to straddle both.
I'd be up for joining a FB group later on... comprised of people I have gotten to know on here. I'm not sure I'd join the current FB group if it's mainly women who are pretty much strangers (with a few exceptions).
Nothing against the current FB group - different strokes for different folks. I just doubt I'd join that one.
Oh,and I will say, I joined my August 10 BMB on FB a long while back, and I've gotten to know those ladies really well - many get togethers, a girls' trip to Vegas, etc.

I'm totes legit.
