DD has always loved her baths, but the past three nights she wants to hop out almost immediately, before I have a chance to wash her. I don't think anything has changed in terms of water temperature or anything. The only thing I can think of was that my parents took care of her for two nights last week and maybe they made the water too cold or scrubbed her too much or something and now she has an aversion?
Has anyone else dealt with this?
Re: Sudden bath hate?
also, a couple of days ago i yanked one arm of his shirt a little to hard to try to take it off and didn't realize it was hurting him, and now he is MAJORLY traumatized by having his shirt taken off, like as soon as we start to approach him to do it he bursts into hysterical tears.
i dunno, are their memories improving or something, so now if something bothers them they remember better and are super sensitive about it? i am baffled.

Also in the bath tub I got her to start "washing" herself with her wash cloth and dumping water on herself with a cup and that really helped calm things down for us.
I'm glad I'm not the only one dealing with this now. DD is fine as long as the water is coming out of the spout, and then she wants to get out. So last night I just washed her really fast while the water was coming out, and then she wanted to get out once I turned it off. I have always used bath time as a time filler in the evenings when she started to get tired and cranky, and I'm sad that I can't do that right now
Oh, I also thought I'd add that DD is in weekly swim lessons and has no problem going underwater.
