I am only 36+5 so I still have a bit to go. I started maternity leave as of yesterday and am a little bored, but only as I choose to procrastinate. I am going to clean up the baby's room finally today and organize that.
I'm 39 wks and 2 days, not super uncomfortable but I wish I could stay home until my scheduled c section this Friday! I'm still working, can't miss a day since that would affect my leave and insurance. Sigh. Only 2 more days to go till my last working day.
My pregnancy itself has been pretty good, but I've had lots of scares with issues with the baby (which all turned out to be okay in the end) so it hasn't been the easiest, mentally. I don't think I can relax at all until I see her healthy and breathing in my arms. So yes, in that sense I'm so ready to be done with being pregnant!
Sleep? What's sleep? I have had insomnia my whole pregnancy.
Besides that I am not too uncomfortable. LO is breech so not much pressure down below. Sometimes he gets up in my ribs and that sucks, but lately I think he's been more diagonal. Heartburn comes and goes but for some reason isn't as bad as it was.
I am really nervous about having a toddler and a newborn, so no rush here!
38w 5d and soooooooo done. My dr will allow me to go up to 41 weeks.. So there is somewhat of an end in sight...but I find myself everyday waking up and thinking, "I hope todays the day!" I'm extremely anxious. My hours have been reduced at work, so that's nice, but I still find myself struggling to get out of bed to even go work for 5 hours... I have noooooo motivation. Plus I'm tired of the same co workers asking me everyday how I'm feeling, when am I due, do I think the baby will come soon.... I try to put on my nice face but my goodness it's hard!
I'm 38 weeks today, EDD is Jan 21 and hoping she'll come on time. My birthday is Jan 24 and though it would be funny if she came on the 24th, I'd like to have my own day! I'm a ftm and so far this pregnancy has been thankfully pretty normal with no complications. The last week has been uncomfortable with pelvic pain, sore legs and feet, and lower back pain. Pregnancy has been such a joy but now i'm ready for this girl to be out!

38w 1 d here. Feeling exceptionally well compared to my last pregnancy. I felt awesome today with a ton of energy during my workout, but now I know I will be exhausted the rest of the day. Sleep is starting to suck, waking up about 4xs per night. Other than that, I am doing alright. I am really surprised that I am still ok with being pregnant. Last time at this point I was so done. I think DD1 keeps my mind off of the waiting game, which helps.
God bless all of you that are still working. My brain stopped working weeks ago!
38+4 here = 10 days left! I'm looking forward to holding this LO in my arms. Sometimes I think I'm just done with this whole pregnancy thing, and 2 minutes later I can decide I'm not ready for this LO quite yet. I'll have a lifetime with him/her, so what's a few more days before he/she comes? I have a dr appt on Friday (39w) and we'll see how things are looking then. If I've progressed a bit since my 37+3 appt I'll leave things as they are for the weekend since it's my parents 25th anniversary and they're taking us all out for supper. It'd be easier to do with an inside baby. But I'll definitely be booking an appointment for the morning after the anniversary to get my membranes stripped. I had it done with DD at 39+3 and it worked for her. I'm hoping it will this time as well. But who knows, baby might decide to come before then on it's own! I'm just super glad I've got a toddler to keep my mind and days busy enough I don't have time to wish this baby was in my arms already.
Induction starts tomorrow night for me, but I kinda wish I had more time. I'm glad she'll finally be in our arms, but I'm feeling unprepared and overwhelmed [even though I have pretty much done everything I can to prepare for this baby]. I am, however, very uncomfortable and am physically ready for baby to be here. Mentally, not so much.
I get induced tomorrow night as well! FX for quick deliveries for us both! I'm physcially done. I never thought I'd see 39 weeks since my first came so early. As sad as I am emotionally that my last pregnancy is done, it's so nice to know that by Thursday, he'll be in my arms and my family will be complete.
Holding up ok. Had my 37 week appt, but they didn't do an ultrasound I'm so nervous I just wanted to make sure she was ok. My cervical check was horrible. Had to make her stop... Why because she has long fingernails and I felt them. This is my first pregnancy, I'm due on the 28th, I'll be satisfied with having her cook for at least another week or two #scared #wishmymomcouldbehere
*snip* I'm 37w3d and feeling pretty decent, all things considered. I might be part of a minority, but I'm not at the "get this baby outta me" stage yet. As uncomfortable as I'm getting I still kinda like this pregnant thing. Feeling my baby move inside me is such a trip!! Also, I know life will be trickier once this tiny human emerges- keeping him/her inside as long as possible!!
The jacked up sleeping and walking (waddling) is getting old, as is the whole socks/shoes situation... but I still think this journey is kiiiiiiiinda epic!
A lot of this! I feel good physically 80% of the time. I'm just having FTM jitters this week and that makes it hard to feel ready. All the same, I can't wait to meet my little boy
I'm 36w 4d and I'm not at the point where I'm over being pregnant, but I am tired of blind shaving, awkwardly putting on sock/shoes, and grunting everytime I get up from anywhere. Today I have belly button and lower back pain but I suspect DS is moving farther down.
This is SO ME!! And people keep asking/demanding "you must be ready huh?" or "I'm sure you're over it, I remember when me/my wife…" But actually I'm fine, uncomfortable yea, but I'm in no rush to end this stage. Just trying to take it all in.
My nesting has fully taken hold and it is finally sinking in that I will be a mom of two children soon. Physically, I am uncomfortable but it is tolerable. I have noticed a huge difference in the way I carried DD (breech) and the way I am carrying DS (head down). I feel a lot more lower pressure and I have to take it easy with my broken tailbone.
In very exciting news, my baby shipment arrived in town and is just waiting to clear customs. The moving company contacted DH and it should arrive by the end of next week. In that shipment are all my baby/nursery gear and furniture that I purchased online in the US. DH's company was generous enough to pay for the air shipment and duties. FX that I do not go into labor before my shipment arrives Good luck to the rest you ladies!
Wowza, my ticker says I'm still 36 weeks, 6 days.... I feel like I'm 44 weeks! I'm thankful that everyone posted the pros of an inside baby... I almost feel good that I have 3 more weeks to go! Although, I'm very excited to meet my little green baby, I want to know if it's a him or a her so bad. BUT, as tired as I feel right now, aching hips, tingling fingers and swollen ankles and knuckles... I know that cracked nipples and 3 hour feedings are even harder. Thanks for the perspective ladies!
I have 13 days left to go. All my babies were early (9,4, and 9 days) so I was expecting this LO to be early as well. I'm so done with this pregnancy. I can't sleep, I have acid reflux and I'm irrationally freaking out because LO has been measuring big the whole pregnancy and I'm afraid of ending up with a C-section. Also, I have no plans for my kids. Not quite sure how I'm going to get them to 3 different schools once the baby comes. My back is killing me but I've been nesting for the past few days. I've done all the laundry including bedding and everything in the linen closet. Today I scrubbed down the kitchen cabinets and baseboards and mopped the floor. I'm ready for baby.
37 weeks tomorrow and feeling super uncomfortable. I am just now to the point where I can't sleep through the night and it's awful, but that's a pretty minor complaint I suppose other than that, I've experienced some fatigue but my midwife thinks that may be due to an iron deficiency, so it's an easy fix!
@JmeMichelle We share a due date. I'm also feeling that struggle at night time. Is 37 weeks considered full term there?
@katiedjdj awesome on the fit date sharing! Being an end of the monther sucks sometimes because we aren't even close I see a military doctor and my midwife still considers 37 weeks full term, but won't start talking about induction until my appt ON my due date
@jmemichelle It's definitely annoying being an end of the monther. In my case, I've also spent my pregnancy with my two best friends 7 and 4 weeks ahead of me which means they have both now had their babies and I feel SO abandoned!!! Hormones eh? Plus, one of them can't keep her mouth shut about her traumatic labour which I really could do without hearing. It was discovered I have a cervical ectropy around 28 weeks which has meant weekly internals and I have to have treatment to kill the abnormal cells - I have a repeat colposcopy booked for Friday which they have said might kick things off naturally. Otherwise I'll be induced around the 16th. It's been a ride but here we are full term today
38 weeks and a day here. I'm starting to get to the "ok, let's meet baby now" phase. Mostly just lightening crotch and hemmorrhoids that I'm dealing with. I think baby knows how cold it is here in eastern canada so he/she doesn't want out anytime soon!
Im due Jan 24 (16 days to go, yay!). I sometimes feel "over it" due to my hips giving out by the end of the day. DH has to walk me to bed every night and position my heating pad for me. It sucks but by morning I feel better. I hate just not having any energy. So I am on the fence; I could be done but if I go to 40 weeks Ill feel better about the baby (ie being bigger/healthier). All in all my pregnancy was easy until 34 weeks. Good luck to everyone!
hi everyone! this is my first post. I'm 36w 5d, FTM. I sprained my ankle slipping on ice Sunday so now I'm on crutches. so basically in bed or on the couch unless I need to use the bathroom, which is a major workout. I'm bored hoping I can get back to walking before labor starts- aiming for an unmedicated birth! good luck to all the mamas!
The only complaint I have is the pelvic/groin pain. I am getting really anxious for my baby to come but I don't mind waiting and the baby hasn't dropped so I think I have awhile even though my due date is tomorrow.
@beamstar same here with the groin pain... Ugh. my belly seems to be doing a gradual drop... Every morning it's slightly lower, I'm waddling more and more. My due date isn't for 16 more days, but I think this kiddo might come early...
