I would recommend picking up a reputable pregnancy book to read and reference, such as the one from the Mayo Clinic. The Internet is full of made up information. Your make up, shampoo, deoderant, toothpaste, etc are not going to harm you or your baby.cjespinoza said:I've just read so many things about changing certain products because of all the chemicals in them. I am by no means freaking out or consider myself a "delicate little flower." I Just want to make sure I'm not using harmful products that are being absorbed through my skin.
Re: Safe makeup?
And I'll be sure not to eat my makeup lol. I was only concerned with the makeup I have that has salicylic acid in it and my anti aging products/makeup since it's been said that certain anti-acne creams with these ingredients are a no-no because they can be absorbed through the skin. I'm just going to keep using what I have and discuss any concerns with my dr. I'm at ease, not worried about it anymore.
It's just eyeshadow. You're good.
Just to be fair, several of the 'you're an idiot for asking such a stupid question' responses included, 'just stay away from retinol or salicylic acid'. Sort of makes it sound like a legit question.
cjespinoza, If you think this is bad, try using the word preggo in your next post and you'll see how much fun the ladies will have at your expense.

Just to clarify, I agree make-up is pretty benign. I just think flaming someone for asking a question that did, in fact, have some legitimate responses made me feel a little sad for her that she became target practice.
Harsh. Jumped in here from 2nd tri group to see what all the fuss was about. Let the girl ask her questions. For us FTM this shiz is scary, new territory. No question is stupid. She obviously did do her homework and googled or searched and came back with conflicting answers. She came her for advice and you all attacked. If you want to joke, remember it's all how you deliver the message. No need to be snarky!!!
