I know we have a few months still, but has anyone thought if the outfit your little one will be wearing home? Where is everyone looking to find their going home outfit? We are having a little girl and I'm still trying to figure out what to have her wear since it still may be cold here. Can't wait to hear and see everyone's ideas!
It'll still be chilly here. MIL got her a little outfit that's long sleeve, gray leopard top with light pink pants. She'll probably wear that home. But if I don't feel like putting it over her head yet, a sleeper it is!

Hmm, I just remembered I have a shirt for each of my other kids that say "big _____" so I'll probably get this LO an outfit with a shirt that says "little sister"... Hmmm

I'm planning on a home birth, so I guess it would be a "already home" outfit will probably be a warm sleeper since it's usually still pretty chilly here in April
I'll probably just do a neutral sleeper with a onesie under it. If it's still cold, I got a little fleece snowsuit-like over piece, but hopefully the weather is good by then. April can be so touch and go! I won't do anything fancy!
I do have a pink and blue hat set from etsy...last time I brought them both to the hospital and ended up using the blue one! So I'll bring those too : ) and see which one we use!
LO will come home in the same outfit my dad and his siblings wore home from the hospital. My grandma made it in the late 40's before the birth of her first child and it's still I'm beautiful condition. LO will wear it home from the hospital and have newborn pictures made in it, too.
She's going to wear a sleeper home. I did buy a Gap outfit that is a onesie, ruffle cardigan and pants for the hospital but she will wear it for the professional pictures the hospital offers.
ETA: IMO, the going home outfit isn't really that big of a deal. I bought a specific outfit for DD1 last time for going home but it is so uneventfull. It's just you and DH putting baby in a car seat and leaving. I would get a sleeper becaus they are comfy and easy to get them into a car seat.
My mom wants to be in charge if the going home outfit. I think back when I was born that outfit was a big deal. She is getting a pink and white lace layette. Since we are in southern California, it's never really too cold for that. The outfit is really cute, kinda dressy if you ask me... But it means a lot to my mom to get to pick it, so DH and I are fine with it.
I honestly have no idea. He has a pretty decent sized wardrobe, so I will probably just pick 2 or 3 outfit options to stick into my hospital bag when the time comes and then pick whichever one of those works the best at the time. I don't even remember what DD wore home. By the time she came home from the hospital (after 67 long days!) DH and I were so excited we forgot to even take a picture.

I can't remember what DD wore home either! She was released from the NICU two weeks after I was discharged. I was so anxious and excited to take her home (finally!) that I didn't focus on anything else!
