Omg I am kind of a Starbucks snot too. Except I drink their frappacinos because I have to have cold coffee so I can drink it incredibly fast. My sister works for the state health department, and told me about how one of their campaigns equated one Starbucks frappacino (and probably not the venti I usually order

) to having the equivalent of 36 packs of sugar.

I know this and still can drink like two a day of them. Sluuuurp.

I stay away from the sugary drinks at Sbux (as my sister and I call it. ha). But I make a pot of coffee for myself in the morning and drink it ALL.

I did get a cafe mocha as my free birthday drink in December and it was freakin' delicious.

And I too love vinegar smell and taste. I make hot sauce in my house, so my whole house smells like vinegar anyway.

I love that you make your own hot sauce. I recently started making my own pasta sauce, BBQ, and creamy mushroom Beshemal instead of buying store bought.

I also LOVE vinegar. Especially on my sub sandwiches. DH won't pick up takeout Subway for me because he's embarrassed to ask for as much vinegar as I like!!

2.) How long have you been with DH/SO? Where and how did you meet? We have been married for a year and half and together 5. We met at a job back in 2003. 6 years later he found me on facebook through mutual friends and asked me to go out to dinner. We hit it off and went out every single night that week!
3.) How old are your LOs? Do you want any more babies? An almost 5 month old and we hope to have one more in another couple years.
4.) What's your current favorite diaper in your stash? BG 4.0s are currently my favorite diapers.
5.) Any diapers you are currently drooling over? My current wishlist is the Simplex in Monkeys and BG 4.0 in Picadilly. Would love to try an OBGE as well! May just have to pull the trigger before the sale is up!
6.) Since we're a pretty green board, what's something you're most proud of doing to be "green"? Cloth diapering! That was the gateway into being more green in our house.

Earth - was a military brat so lived all over, but currently living in Eastern Nebraska again.

5.) Any diapers you are currently drooling over? Not currently,but if BB put out a colorful print cover all bets would be off.

6.) Since we're a pretty green board, what's something you're most proud of doing to be "green"? Hanging clothes out on clothesline during warmer months.

7.) Anything non-green that you do and don't feel guilty about? Soak in bathtub full of hot water.

I graduated from Gross High School.
I played clarinet until I was 20 (played for fun, was usually last chair).
I hate shopping for clothes.

I love strong coffee and Starbucks sucks. Burnt is not the same as strong. Ill drink it in a pinch, though, and their espresso is usually ok.

We've been together for about 10 years, married for 4.

No babies yet, our first is due in May

4.) What's your current favorite diaper in your stash?

I'm still building my stash, but I have been practicing my flat folds with the few covers I have, and I'm really liking the flats! I have a few pockets already, but really, I want to try everything before I pick a favourite.

5.) Any diapers you are currently drooling over?

If I can ever get my hands on GMD workhorse fitteds I will feel my stash is really complete. They almost seem worth the exorbitant shipping costs, we'll see!

6.) Since we're a pretty green board, what's something you're most proud of doing to be "green"?

We're not a super green family honestly. Like, we try to use our car as little as possible, green bin and my husband is on a never ending home improvement goal of making our house as energy efficient as possible.

7.) Anything non-green that you do and don't feel guilty about?

Sometimes I do laundry during peak times. I know it's harder on the grid, but we also pay more for it during that time too, so I think it evens out. If I have a day off and need to get laundry done I don't want to wait until 7 pm.

8.) Name three random facts about yourself?

I have the cutest dog in the world, named Dexter.

I LOVE to crochet (yarn addiction is a real thing, cloth diaper addicts should understand that).

I watch more sports than my husband does. I mainly watch football (Canadian University, CFL, NFL) and even though I am Canadian I would much rather watch a football game than a hockey game (but don't tell the government).

9.) Anything else you want to share?

I'm pretty boring otherwise. I probably watch too much tv.

2.) How long have you been with DH/SO? Where and how did you meet? DH and I have been together for 8 years, married for 5 1/2 years. We met in college in Harrisburg, PA.

3.) How old are your LOs? Do you want any more babies? DD is 5w2d old. We want to have at least one more...just depends if we have a boy or a girl.

4.) What's your current favorite diaper in your stash? We have a Thirsties cover size 2 that's brown with multi-colored polka dots. Not using that yet though.

6.) Since we're a pretty green board, what's something you're most proud of doing to be "green"? CDing in general. We aren't CDing because it's green, it's definitely a plus.

7.) Anything non-green that you do and don't feel guilty about? We tried using wash cloths as wipes at first and have since stopped doing that. We got so many wipes as gifts that we figured we should use those instead.

8.) Name three random facts about yourself? 1) I'm a bit of a wine snob, 2) used to be obsessed with 'NSync when I was a teenager and 3) I started a new job 3 weeks before DD was born

2. Been together just over a year (and I'm 9 months pregnant ..surprise!) We met because he co-owns/performs at a local improv theater. I bought a groupon - saw a show he was in there - started taking improv classes and performing there as well!

3. My due date is this Weds. It's both our first LO.. A boy! I think I would like to try for a girl in a couple years.

4. Just got the new Jules BG print .. Can't wait to see it on LOs butt

5. I have one BB but would like more! Also a Michigan made diaper called smart bottoms has some cute ones.

6. We use cloth napkins and wipes.

@ufsandra85 Is your random alligator diaper a SoftBums by any chance? I think one of their calendar Bums diapers in late 2011 or early 2012 was alligators. So cute!!!

1.) Where are you from? (General area is fine if you feel the need to be all secretive! ITK) Originally San Diego, then NE Michigan, now in West Michigan. What up to my fellow mitten CDers!

2.) How long have you been with DH/SO? Where and how did you meet?
5 years ago, we had mutual friends, so I helped him adopt his first dog when he heard that I did animal rescue. Inseparable since.

3.) How old are your LOs? Do you want any more babies?
10 mos, at least one more, then we will decide if we are stopping at two or going for three.
4.) What's your current favorite diaper in your stash?
I really love my Blueberry bamboo prefolds.

5.) Any diapers you are currently drooling over?
This seems to be the theme, but I too want a BB Jungle Jam OS Simplex. I bought the sized version but get leaks on the side tabs.

6.) Since we're a pretty green board, what's something you're most proud of doing to be "green"?
Pretty standard stuff, we recycle and compost during the summer. And to be green (read- save money) we'll have a few days where we force ourselves to eat whatever is left in the house. We end up eating some pretty weird stuff but sometimes it's surprisingly pleasant.
7.) Anything non-green that you do and don't feel guilty about?
I'm afraid of the dark and leave lights on all over the place.

8.) Name three random facts about yourself?
I'm an ER nurse and LOVE my job, but still would like to be a SAHM and work like one day a week, which I will probably do once we have another child. I was a vegetarian for 10 years until I got pregnant and had GD and needed to eat more protein, so now I eat fish without regret. In high school I was voted "Most Likely to become President"... we see how that all turned out.
9.) Anything else you want to share?
I've been intermittently lurking/posting for over 8 months here and never gave a formal intro. I'm really bad at forum etiquette so I guess I never knew I was supposed to? Despite that, this board has been really helpful and inspiring, and I think if more moms had this kind of support WAY more people would CD.

@bookitup - I've never seen TWD, so I found a YouTube clip. I'm afraid my accent is a bit twangier. Think Reese's first MIL in Sweet Home AL, and you've got a pretty good idea of my accent if I'm not being careful. DH and I got to go to England a few years ago, and I swear they thought I was speaking a different language. I walked into a cafe and asked for a bottled water. The waitress looked at me funny, so I repeated myself. She said she wasn't sure what I was talking about. When I said, "You know...wah-ter that comes in a bah-tul," real slowly, she finally got it.

I grew up in a suburb of Philadelphia, spent the last 6 years in the DC area, and just recently moved to Baltimore.

2.) How long have you been with DH/SO? Where and how did you meet?

We have been together for 8 years and married for just over 2 years. We met in college in the coolest of cool ways -- in an a cappella group!

3.) How old are your LOs? Do you want any more babies?

We had our first baby at the end of September; he is 14 weeks today. I would like one more baby, but trying to decide when that will be...

4.) What's your current favorite diaper in your stash?

I just prepped my stash tonight, so I haven't had a chance to use any of them yet. My favorite print that I have is the new RaR Charlie. So cute!

5.) Any diapers you are currently drooling over?

I haven't been around them enough to be drooling just yet. But I can see how these things can become addictive

6.) Since we're a pretty green board, what's something you're most proud of doing to be "green"?

Well, we haven't started yet, but I just ordered a couple of yards of flannel to make our own rags in hopes of using fewer paper towels to clean up everyday spills, etc.

7.) Anything non-green that you do and don't feel guilty about?

My husband telecommutes about half the time for work -- but the other half of the time, he commutes over 40 miles each way (he works in DC). He tried the train, but it took a total of 2 hours door to door compared to only 1 hour when driving (he goes during off hours to avoid rush hour). It just wasn't worth the extra 2 hours to save that gas.

8.) Name three random facts about yourself?

Let's see...

1 - I tore my ACL in both knees and had surgery to repair them using tissue from a cadaver.

2 - I am a Speech-Language Pathologist and worked the last 3 years (since finishing my masters) in a hospital working with stroke and brain injury survivors. I'm not sure when I'm going back.

3 - I have been lurking pretty regularly on several boards here on the TB (this board, breastfeeding, 3-6 months, and September '13), but have made a total of 2 posts (now 3).

9.) Anything else you want to share?

This board is so incredibly helpful. I learned a lot watching intro videos on YouTube, etc, but this board has answered almost all of my specific questions, just by searching old posts. Thanks for being so awesome!

One year and three months, we meet at work. We both work for the school board!

LO is 7 weeks today. We plan to have more. I would like 5, but who knows how many we will have.

4.) What's your current favorite diaper in your stash?
P&Ns

5.) Any diapers you are currently drooling over?
Nope, I'm pretty happy with our stash and it probably won't change for a while. It's mostly prefolds, workhorses, and the P&Ns.

6.) Since we're a pretty green board, what's something you're most proud of doing to be "green"?
Well obviously CD, BF, and we use cloth wipes instead of toilet paper. We do buy toilet paper, we just don't use it. We reserve it for our company. Oh! Our cats use flushable cat litter! It's awesome!

7.) Anything non-green that you do and don't feel guilty about?
We still use paper towels, but I'm planning to switch to unpaper towels. I also use disposable breast pads, I really should switch. We use harsh chemicals which I plan to switch one day in the future. Who knows when though.

I'm a special education teacher.
I'm currently in graduate school for another year and a half. My degree is in curriculum and instruction then reading specialist.
I'm an advisor for a local college sorority.

DS is 11 months. I'd like more kids but I'm not sure that's in my future.

Probably my RaR Dexter print

I'd like a couple more Best Bottoms but I'm not drooling yet.

CD's for sure. I never thought I'd use CD's. Pretty sure my family thinks I'm crazy. I've started using vinegar for all my cleaning. I think I've even convinced my mom to use it.

I love a good long, hot shower. I also work for a paper mill but hey, I got bills to pay!

I've bowled all my life, and I'm pretty good. I can beat most men (well, I use to when I bowled in league. I haven't bowled in about a year and a half.)
I like to build stuff. I built my headboard, a couple of bookshelves, side tables. I haven't had time since DS was born but I'm looking forward to getting back to it.

Newbie here!!
I've posted a few times but I still feel new. Especially since I won't be CDing until baby comes in May

1.) Where are you from? (General area is fine if you feel the need to be all secretive! ITK)
I'm from all over but am currently living in Washington state, north of Seattle.

2.) How long have you been with DH/SO? Where and how did you meet?
We met 5 years ago on a (free) dating website ha! I guess we're one of those internet success stories. Been married for 3 years now.

3.) How old are your LOs? Do you want any more babies?
My fur baby is almost 4 years old (holy cow!) and currently expecting my first human baby--due May 31st

Right now we are just focused on this one and I honestly have no idea if it will be a single child or if we'll have 20 more. Okay maybe not 20... My vag is not a clown car.

4.) What's your current favorite diaper in your stash? None have been put to use yet, but I love the small sleekness of my BG newborns and have a feeling I will love the absorbency of my fitted kissaluvs. I can't wait to try them all!

5.) Any diapers you are currently drooling over?
Um. All of them?
I'm a childless CD mama, it's awful!

6.) Since we're a pretty green board, what's something you're most proud of doing to be "green"?
I think I'm most proud about CDing. We do basic things like recycle and live a fairly minimalist lifestyle, but I wouldn't consider us to be particularly green. More crunchy than green if that's possible?

7.) Anything non-green that you do and don't feel guilty about?
Meh...I guess everything/nothing. We do what we can and I don't stress about the rest.

8.) Name three random facts about yourself?
-i hate almost all vegetables. To the point that I will gag and choke. It's both terribly unhealthy and embarrassing to be an adult who hates vegetables.
-I love reading trashy romance novels. The more graphic and porny, the better

-I am extremely nocturnal. I can get on a normal-person schedule whenever I'm working or have shit to do, but as soon as I have more than two days off I revert right back to staying up all night and wanting to sleep all day. I don't even do anything interesting, it's just my natural rhythm. I feel like society judges me as lazy for it.

9.) Anything else you want to share?
I love the CD board. I'm a quiet person who thinks no company is better than bad company, and I feel like I really fit in here...even though nobody probably knows me or remembers me yet. Ha!

And yes...that was me a few weeks ago who posted that gag-worthy "I love the CD board" post. Can I blame my pregnancy hormones for all this mushy mushy?

Im about 1 hour north. It seems like there are tons of Seattle or nearby moms on this board

Yeah, on my BMB (Sep13), we started a Facebook group that our most active members joined, and it was surprising to learn just how many of them lived in WA state. It's pretty cool, I think.

5.) Any diapers you are currently drooling over? Anything NB that has adorable prints, even though I need nothing!

6.) Since we're a pretty green board, what's something you're most proud of doing to be "green"? CDing is pretty much the greenest thing we do

7.) Anything non-green that you do and don't feel guilty about? Ever since getting pregnant, we've been using disposables ON most nights. I can't do the smell of 12 hours of pee in bamboo and hemp.

8.) Name three random facts about yourself? 1) I'm a runner but my body just won't agree to running during pregnancy. I've come to terms with it. 2) I used to write fanfiction. For much longer than I normally admit! 3) I should be sleeping....

ETA: Oh, what the heck, with all of the Friends love in this thread, I used to write Friends fanfiction. If you pull an obscure Friends quote out of nowhere,
we can be BFFs.

Yeah, I'm going to need to be reading some of that.

If you really want to, I can PM you my penname on fanfiction.net. I worked a lot harder to keep my anonymity there...nothing like using my name as my penname or posting where I live like on here, haha.
