Bottom line, I'd like a vaginal delivery and I'd like it with drugs. I have zero desire to "feel" childbirth. I don't judge people who do, but it's just not something I look forward to.
Over dinner with family, I was asked when I'm taking my lamaze classes. My answer - I'm not taking them. Just give me drugs and tell me what to do - I'll use my yoga breathing. The response I got was,
"Ooooooohhhhhhh nooooooooo! Please, please, please rethink having an epidural. They're said to cause autism!"
Seriously? SERIOUSLY???
I've been asked if I'm sure I'm not having twins - not too bothered. But now telling me that if I have an epidural my child will have autism? REALLY???
End rant.

That is a special comment!
While on vacation my husbands grandmother was loaded on gin and tonics and told me I shouldn't have anymore children. I wanted to smack her but was too shocked to say anything. Who says that?!? Maybe we want to have a third.... She has no say in the decision. Then she went on a rant about how expensive kids are to feed and school. No SH*T! I thought that was the ultimate insult that I've heard so far. She also told me that all my name choices are silly. I can't stand the woman.
I cant help but worry this gets said to woman who do have children with autism or other difficulties and what? are woman supposed to blame themselves?? Comments like that make me mad.

People are absurdly stupid. I am on a Fragile X board (I have a pre-mutation) and once had to explain to a woman that her child (who had Fragile X Syndrome) was intellectually disabled because of an inherited gene mutation (i.e. what causes Fragile X) and not because of the MMR vaccine.

Well, duh. So does pitocin. And formula. Oh, wait, is that obesity...? 8-|
In all seriousness, I would take a child birth class. It's more than just breathing and such. They discuss inductions, epidurals, emergency c-sections, hospital procedures, etc. It's worth it.

Baby #2 due 4/26/16!
It’s not that I don’t like you, it’s that I don’t know you. Stranger Danger.
I want to punch people sometimes.
I hate getting advice from my mother and DF's mother on birthing and BF. That was almost 30years ago. Things have changed a little over th time.
I get pissed when people ask me if we are getting married before the baby gets here. Not that its anyones business but no. We have been together 5 years and engaged for over a year now. Im in no hurry so why not wait until I can enjoy a wedding. Sorry I dont want to waddle down the isle or go to the JP.
