heartbeat at 6 weeks (exactly)?

I have my first u/s tomorrow. I will be exactly 6 weeks (according to my O date--very accurate). Am I expecting too much to hopefully see a heartbeat tomorrow? Did you see a heartbeat at exactly 6 weeks???

I saw and heard the heartbeat at exactly six weeks. It was 110 bpm. The next week at 7 weeks it was 170. GL I am praying for you!

I saw a heartbeat at 5 weeks 6 days (by my O date), but I ended up measuring a few days ahead. Saying that, I wouldn't be worried if you don't see one! Everyone's different and I think it's kind of a toss up to see the h/b at 6 weeks. GL tomorrow!!

We saw the h/b at 6w4d. My dr said before he did the u/s to not be dissapointed or worried if we did not see one at that point. GL and sending you h/b dust!

The heart starts beating right around 6 weeks, so yes there is a possibility that you will see it but don't worry if you don't.

We saw mine at 6w3d from my O date.. and it was already 142 bpm.. so it had probably been going for a few days!

I was 6 weeks and 6 days when we saw the heartbeat.

i didn't have my first u/s until 7 weeks because my RE said it was hit or miss to be able to see it before then and didn't want me to freak out. so, try not to worry if you don't see it.

The heart doesn't start beating until in the 6th week.

For DS1 I had to go back because it wasn't beating at well 6w4d (low rate)...and at 7w1d it was fine.

DS2 No heartbeat at 6w5d.

I think it could go either way b/c that is right about the time the heart will begin to beat...I went at 6 weeks 3 days and saw them, but the nurse said even a day when you are so early can make all the difference!

I had an u/s at 6 wk. 1 day and we could see the heartbeat. I think it was like 114 bpm.

Our first u/s was at 6w1d and we were able to see the hb at 170 bpm. Although the baby ended up measuring a couple days ahead. So it is possible, but like others said, it is also the time when it just starts beating so it is also possible for you not to see it and everything to be perfectly fine. Sending you tons of hb dust!!! GL!
