@RedSaffron he's doing great so far! He is so adorable. I did have some friends come over today and I let them hold him and now I regret it. I should have just said no because he's premie and it's cold and flu season and now I'm mad at myself.

I was so excited when I woke up at 1:30 to find Lily still asleep meaning she went three hours between feedings, not two, and I got an hour and a half of sleep not 45 min. It was awesome especially since I was able to catch her hunger cues before she started crying. Had a marathon feeding session and then BAM gas hit her. Every time I think she's burped and farted it all out, I try to swaddle her and we're back to tears and pain. I can hear the gas bubbles moving through her body, I'm so tired and I have to pee but DH is asleep on the couch downstairs since he's back to work tomorrow. He may be getting woken up soon or my bladder will explode. Also I need a gas mask as DD is trying to stink me out here.

@jwl325 I'm sorry she's so gassy. I can't remember if you talked to lactation or not about that. Poor Lily and poor you! If you accidentally pee yourself I won't tell anyone.

Well, I didn't get my usual nap in yesterday, so I fell asleep at 10 or so. Got woken up by a contraction at 4. BUT...still not the real deal.

@megs12914 both pediatrician and LC say there's nothing we can do other than let her work it out and for her digestive system to mature. Got her down around 4:30 but she was up 15 min later for next feeding. The first couple nights we were home, gas episodes lasted from 11pm to between 4 & 6am. I consider tonight progress.

I'm awake early! SO decided to stay home from work after all because the driving is too bad but his alarm still went off

I love hearing all the mommas awake with baby so I can know better what to expect. I had never heard of cluster feeding or of baby's having bad gas!! We are going in tonight for NST and labs and might be induced ... I hope everything looks good and they send us home!!

Hope everyone got a little rest and LO's are soothed and sleepy!!

I should have popped in here earlier. I stayed up talking to SO till I couldn't keep my eyes open around midnight and was back up at 3. So far I have shovled the drive, started laundry, picked up, eaten breakfast and messed around on here.

DS is up now and has forgotten to do a science experiment that was supposed to be done over break. So of course we have to do it now, 45 min before he has to be at school. UGH! the joys of older school age kids.

@jessicabcairns - Thanks! I can barely walk today, which I think means that the baby is head-down for once! And has been that way for a couple hours now. So, I'm fine with labor happening at any time!

The anticipation is killing me for you, glad to hear baby is head down. Mines been head down since 21 weeks.. with her head getting bigger, the walking is getting harder.

@RedSaffron - My LO was head down until 35w. That was the 1st time he was breech. I think I had an ultrasound that day too? At the ultrasound, LO was transverse, frank, oblique, every which way but head down in the 20 minutes for the u/s. At 36w, head down. 37w, transverse. Tomorrow...who knows...

Oh no, at least it was near the shower! I had the same situation too, I was getting out of my clothes to shower and when I bent to pick up my pants, I peed myself a little. I thought it was water..

Laying here in the dark...while LO kicks/punches my insides. She just started this last week...she was pretty calm until then.

DH was playing with the dog and slammed his head into a doorframe a couple of hours ago. There is a dent in the wood...and his forehead.

How about you @daltoso?

Just laying in bed in the dark as DH & kitty sleep, watching Star Trek:TNG. I can't seem to sleep before 2am most nights, and then I get up every 1.5hrs to pee.

At least I'm on medical leave and don't have to work.

Is YH ok @iamkerryanne? He must have hit the door hard for him & the door to be dented!

My LO has been crazy active tonight too. Must be something in the air. Lol.

Ill play. Jacob is up for his feeding. Little porker eats 3 ounces but it takes him 30 min to finish it. DH was watching him until 4 am and now it's my turn. I love that H wants to be so involved.

It's after 3 here. I couldn't sleep again. Our pet rat was sick earlierso I got up to check on him and he'd passed away.

Ugh DH was all tore up when he left for work when he thought the rat was sick, I'm really not looking forward to breaking the news to him.

I just finished folding all four loads of laundry in hopes doing chores will activate something. But no. Lol

I love hearing all these outside baby stories.

@casholmes I'm sorry to hear about your loss of your pet. I use to have a mouse that a magician gave me and it was soo cute.

I'm here at 40w1d waking up at 3:30am... I'm seriously just laying here in bed willing some contractions on. Yeah, I got nothing. Not a one. I've been sitting at 2cm dilated for 3 weeks and every doctor I see (3 diff ones since my OB took vaca for the holidays) says "any day now!" and I want to smack them all.

It isn't helping that 2 friends just had babies yesterday - one due the day before me and one due next week. Oh, and all the J14 ladies who are having babies right and left...

@jessicabcairns I hated bitch nurses. I had one that her phone kept ringing (ours have little phones you call instead of paging) and she was like, "Can't everyone just leave me alone?"
I was definitely not asking her for anything. On top of that, she was just rude.

Just wanted to add that hospital insomnia does suck a big fat one. Also, it sucks so bad now but looking back I feel like I accomplished something HUGE after making it through the bed rest!

@jessicabcairns you are too funny!! I can't believe the hospital is so close to your mom's place. Haha. Ugh, sorry you have a lame nurse. Why can't the hot ones work at night lol. I've seen the nurses at my hospital and I will have no luck of a hot nurse, all ladies..

@katags just commenting on here makes you at risk for a labor haha. We had couple mamas write and bam, the next day they are in L&D lol. May you have some good luck since you're past your due date also.

I had a bad experience with the nurses aide after delivery. I cringe every time I think back to that night. I firmly believe DH needs to stay in the room, even if its against hospital policy.

I'm so tired and this is only night one at home!

Hello all

Here I am again, up at 4. Just pop! Awake! So not cool!

And my keyboard is getting really sensitive. Grrrr!!! I usually type at a decent speed, but last night the keys weren't always recognizing that they were hit, and it's continuing this morning. This is so hard for me!!! I spent a lot of last year increasing my typing speed, got it to around 60-70 wpm, and here I am probably at 20

And did I mention I'm awake at 4 AM...AGAIN??

@Kvochka - I'm sorry you are tired. With DD, I got almost no sleep the first 3 nights,she would only sleep on my chest, and I could only do that sitting up on our sofa. Hopefully you can get some sleep soon!

@jessicabcairns, it sounds very convenient! We have only one hospital on the island and parking sucks.

Did you ladies see the news on the mom who gave birth to twins at midnight on NYE. One twin is born on NYE and the other on New Years.
