Ooh ooh me me!!! We are officially down to one daytime nursing session on the weekends!! We still nurse first thing in the morning and shortly before bed, and he gets water or coconut milk with meals. Hoping he self weans in the next few months. Otherwise I'll give him a gentle nudge that direction in April so we can get serious about TTC.
Yikes... we are going to start TTC in March. We were holding off until we had some things figured out but MH officially starts his new job next week, and we've got the down payment squared away to buy our first house, so I guess this makes us legitimate adults. Anyone "trying" for a boy/girl? We haven't discussed this yet...

You know with my first two I really wanted a girl both times. To the point that we put TTC DS2 on hold once because I was afraid I'd be disappointed with a boy. But DS2 is awesome. I love having two boys. Honestly this time around I'd kind of be shocked if we have a girl.
I've read you can time out sex with your ovulation depending on whether you want a boy or girl, with about an 80% accuracy. I know we would be perfectly happy with either, but now knowing this I'm wondering if we'll try one way or the other or just try not to pay any attention.
Ive read something like that too. Shettles Method I believe, but I don't think it's 80% accuracy. I think it ups your chances of getting the sex you want from 50/50 to like 52/48 or something like. Really it comes down to which sperm happens to survive long enough and swim fast enough to beat the other surviving sperm to your egg.
I'll have to look that up! I read it in Taking Charge of your Fertility. She described it as the "male" sperm are faster but don't live as long and the "female" are slower but live longer, so if you time it closer to ovulation you're more likely to have a boy and further before ovulation a girl. Funny, trying to control something you really have very little "control" over!
So I told DH we would start trying next month/cycle. We use NFP, but I knew DH was ready, so I wasn't following it strictly.... so not really preventing or trying. My cycles haven't really regulated, so I wasn't really expecting anything, and all my luteal phases have been really short. Except my temp has been elevated for 16/17 days now. I POAS last night, except it came back negative or invalid (the control line didn't show up til a lot later). I tried again this morning, and BFP!

Someone told me that the surest way to get a boy was woman-on-top. Coincidence or not, our first child is a boy. DH is jokingly superstitious about it now, and he acted upset bc he realized we were not so positioned this time.
I'm around O right now and am on my second cycle of TTC. We did much better at having sex this month. We only had one day last month, but this month we hit four days in a row. I'm hopeful. And SIL is 9 weeks pregnant. It will be awesome to have them close together.
I would like a girl eventually, but I could live with all boys if that is how it works out. I'm not going to be too picky, some people can't have kids, I'll be grateful for what I'm given.
I'm trying to hold out on buying any more diapers, because if it's a girl, I want some girly dipes!!!
I'm KTFU! I am excited but crazy scared. I just had a miscarriage eight weeks ago. I can't believe how easy it was to get pregnant again! I feel so lucky. I'm waiting to get my hcg drawn right now. I got a positive digi at 10dpo. That's got to be good, right?

I'm sure this is far too much information, but rarely are we positioned this way when it matters and I have 3 boys.
Yeah, in retrospect I think the friend who told me this may just have been showing off. Lol

DH and I are currently wrestling with this question. As in, lifestyle-wise, with the demands of his career and my desire to go back to work, would we be able to be the kind of parents we want to be if we bring a second child into the mix?
We need to decide soon because *ahem* my eggs are getting old. But there is so much else up in the air that it's hard to know what is the right thing to do.

Hooray!!!!!!!!!! How do you feel?
I feel really good about this one. I hope and pray my instincts are right.

I'm CD51 and waiting for my scheduled ultrasound mid January and some blood test results around the same time....

It all revolves around you.
I took a Bump break for a month, and now I'm back and KU! Just had our first u/s today and we saw the heartbeat! I am so excited to have a reason to keep building my CD stash now.
Dang man. It's like everyone went and got KU over Christmas.
DH just read a yahoo article the other night saying something like Sept something or other was the day with the most births, which means everyone gets KU in December.

I know a lot of October birthdays (including my baby). Must be the boring winter time Christmas break prob helps too for the sept babies!
Hcg was great! 83 at 13dpo... Better than I could have hoped! Of course one draw can't tell you that much, but as far as one draw goes, I'm super happy with the result! Stick, baby, stick!
If we do decide to go for another baby, I would love to have it right before Thanksgiving. I just remember being ravenous while BFing a newborn. Thanksgiving would be perfect timing for that.
I can't decide if we should have another one or not and probably not this year. I am hopin dh can buy into his practice next year so I can quit my job and we can try again. DS is funny and wants another brother and sister but I am not sure what I can handle.
And as for the boy girl thing- boy is woman on top and girl is woman on bottom no orgasm and it helps if the man stops eating a lot of potassium like bananas. Dh researched a ton on this. My cousin swears by that she wanted 2 girls then 2 boys and that is what she has.
Congrats to all the new mommas to be.
I'm in, but it has only been about 5 weeks since my loss at eight weeks. No signs of O or AF yet so if we wait a cycle or two to try I am sure it will be spring before we are ready. Although the nurse said to wait, my mw didn't so I think maybe we will just NTNP. However, LO sucks at sleeping right now and with 4-5 wake ups and 11pm bedtime DTD is not a common thing around here.

This only supports my theory that the Thigh Master is a cruel torture device and adverse to one's health.
Sept 7th based off temp rise, not LMP. Yours?
