Intro (long)

Hello all.
I've been lurking on here since my son, Micah, was born sleeping on November 30th and thought it was time to intro myself.
A little background. I have had 4 pregnancies and have one 2 yr old DD. I had a missed miscarriage in 2010, an ectopic this past spring and then recently lost Micah.
At our 20 wk ultrasound they noted multiple severe abnormalities and guessed it was trisomy 13. We were encouraged to terminate and made that incredibly hard decision after our geneticist described the the quality of life Micah would have, if he were to survive birth at all.
The trisomy 13 was confirmed after he was born and other factors suggested he likely wouldn't have survived to term.
It has been a very hard month, but each day does get a little better in the sense that I find myself able to laugh a little more and not focus solely on our loss. Our amazing DD definitely helps make that possible.
I find some comfort in reading your posts and knowing that I am not completely alone in my sorrow. I want to thank you all already for giving me support you weren't even aware of and hope to be able to give a little back.
