I've had two kids. One EBF, the other FF. Maybe they weren't spitters? Maybe I don't care about throwing my shirt in with the baby clothes at the end of the day?
IDK.
Also, I had about 10 onesies in NB/0-3 size and that was all I needed to get me through those first two months. After that, both boys wore separates or one-piece rompers.
Hm. How did I ever survive without "a million onesies" and "a TON of burp cloths ... at least 20????"
Re: ::whispers:: I've never used a burp cloth
LOVE LOVE LOVE your siggy pic. awesome!
I go through a couple of outfits (or just wear baby puke all day), he goes through a couple outfits, and we still use a ton or burp cloths (they are scattered all over the house). There are times the spit-up splashes on the floor.
I'm just lucky I guess!
You wanna know what's really great about it? She was "talking" to MIL on the phone. HA!
Wow.
I still go through at least 2-3 burp cloths per day and T is in daycare for the majority of the day. He's a spitter and drooler and just makes a general mess of himself while eating.
ETA: Hence the need for both a bib and a burp cloth in my siggy.
that's is impressive!
i always have a cloth diaper on hand to wipe drool, boogers, peanut butter and jelly, play-doh (this morning it was rubbed into DDs hair).. you name it and i've wiped it.
my kids are not pukers, baby has a bib on most days so i don't need a ton of onsies... but i am impressed!
That's awesome.
I mean clearly, right?
I can't stand his belly hanging out of his shirt, so onesies or rompers it is.
Burp cloths are a lifesaver in this house....and I'd be changing my shirt several times a day sometimes if I didn't use burp cloths.
You're right though, some people don't need burp cloths. Some babies just don't spit-up much and some babies go through several outfits a day.

I wouldn't get rid of your burp cloths yet. DS didn't spit up for the first month or so either, than reflux hit and he spits up massive quantities. I'm not squeamish about it either, but it's definitely easier to wash a burp cloth than to change clothes repeatedly. He's spit up so much while feeding that I've had to change my underwear because it soaked through my pants! (Lovely, I know:).
I dont have any burp cloths either--though I probably should, since I spend a large portion of my day covered in my son's stomach refuse. But no receiving blankets? How do you survive? What do you throw over yourself when you NIP, or tuck around her in her car seat, or use to swaddle? I've got receiving blankets up the ying yang and am always on the lookout for more.
I don't mind getting spit up all over me, but i do need something to clean up the puddles of it, and wipe it up when it's running in streams down my arms and legs.
i have a big spitter.....
as for the receiving blankets, they were a major fail for us when it came to swaddling - we used those swaddler things with velcro for awhile...now we only use them when we run out of burp cloths and alas, are covered in puddles of spit up.
