bring on the madness.

usually we don't go to my FIs side of the family for holidays as it's always DRAMA. I posted a while back that his older sister is a lunatic who is dating one of my FI "good" friends. My FI didn't want to get involved in this relationship just incase shit hit the fan, because both of them are crazy.

Well his younger sister told us the other day that his "friend" apparently hit his sister. She has two little girls. Supposedly they were each at their dads houses. when the cops were called, she did not press charges. she has been super submissive to him and it blows my mind. She doesn't take shit from people so I'm surprised 1. She allowed this to happen, 2. She is still with him. Anyways, my future mil decided to have us over for lunch this year. Ugh. So I'm not sure if my future SIL and her bf will be there but I'm worried because obviously my FI will say something to this guy and he no longer is going to be friends with him. I'm nervous because I don't want to deal with this esp for our babies first Christmas. If anything starts I'm leaving! I can't wait to spend the rest of the holiday with my family!

On a brighter note, my brother and SIL told us last night they are 6 weeks pregnant!! I'm sooooo excited for them!!!!

Re: bring on the madness.

  • Ugh, BOO to family drama!! But you have to admire your FI for being the kind if man that will say something and no longer be friends with someone like that. But, yeah, get out at first sign of conflict!

Yay for new niece or nephew!

  • Agree with pp.. Also I don't think she 'allowed it to happen'.. If someone is going to be abusive they don't usually ask for permission.

I understand. I guess I mean to say when the cops were called she didn't say he did anything. One of her neighbors called the cops, so it must have been pretty heated. She's a no bs kind of person I'm just surprised she basically let him get away with it.
